    WHO AM I:
My name is Charlie and I am disabled. I live with chronic illness, I have a severe form of Psoriatic Arthritis and its crap! I am in pain all the time and always battling fatigue. BUT, I will not let it win. I love to learn and to laugh (even though it hurts my arthritic rib cage LOL). You will often see Ollie (she) my black Labrador. She is currently my trainee assistance dog! We are together, literally ALL the time.
As there are a number of awful people who target us - the vulnerable - here is a link to my personal LinkedIn account. You can literally see the past 25+yrs of my career, people who have recommended me (as a Logistician as Disability Specialist is very new for me).

I jut received my letter of refusal yesterday. I got two points because I need prompted to engage with people. I suffer from severe agoraphobia and have only left the house 4 times in the last two years. It's almost as if they have ignored all my other answers and missed the point. My anxiety is now through the roof because I think they think I'm lying. The thought of an appeal is makind me feel physically sick and completely hopeless!

They probably fail the majority of ppl, as a cost saving thing, everything they do is a screening OUT process.
It is hard not to take it personally, just tell them how it is.

Had my refusal letter couple weeks ago I feel the assessor lied about some things ☹️she said I’m not on anxiety meds and I am and have been for 15 years ! I was so flustered after a hour and 40 min assessment by phone I don’t know if I can cope with a mandatory reconsideration

Update.. had phone assessment at 11-45 finished at 12-43 .. was done by a qualified nurse she said.... but i answered all questions she asked , she was very nice and emphatic, and there was no trick questions, told her I'm recording..no probs, she said she is also recording and will send c.d. to me in a few days... anyway at the end of it she thanked me for being honest with her and said she is going to recommend me getting pip...obviously she said its not up to her but , is on my side ... completely not what I was expecting..oh she also said she would be so surprised if I do not get anything... but I have her on record saying it
...update 2 ...16- 30 got a txt from pip saying they have received her report already and it usually takes about 8 weeks for decision for payment.... SO I MUST'VE BEEN LUCKY AND GOT A GOOD ASSESSOR 👍... will let ya all know if I get anything when it arrives

I had a tribunal yesterday and won and I'd like to say thank you for all the advice you give, it was very helpful to me and really helped me get the decision in my favour. The process is very stressful and drawn out it took me 14 months for my case to be completed but now I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders

I was receiving the daily living enhanced rate and standard rate mobility. Unfortunately my health has deteriorated significantly since claiming pip so in November I submitted another application to see if I could get the enhanced rate for mobility. It was the day after the phone appointment that I discovered your RUclips videos and I wish I’d found you earlier as I have received the decision letter today and low and behold I’m now given the Standard rate for both Daily Living and Mobility! I’m going to appeal because I’m so fed up of being ‘dumped on’! Lots of watching your videos this weekend Charlie! Thanks for all the advice you give.

Yes Charlie this was absolutely great advice and I told them on the form I don't go out because of my anxiety and that I panic in case I have an accident, meaning if I soil my pants because I have IBD and have urgent toilet needs, so they sent me a letter to say I have a telephone accessment I was so relieved and more confident to deal with the call and have been awarded full PIP because I studied carefully what you said and took the time to practice how I would answer them, thank you so so much xx

Regardless of whether someone may make an exception to their own needs and get a taxi alone without social support as a one off occasion, this shouldn't be taken into account anyway. PIP is supposed to be what you can't manage for 50 percent of the time or more. Managing something once does not mean you can repeatedly manage this as many times as needed. It doesn't count in any other area, so engaging with people or leaving the house should be no different. In my opinion!

  • @John_Wick_Snr
    @John_Wick_Snr Месяц назад

I have watched a few of your videos with interest. Your one of the few channels that don't imply lying at the pip assessment. Such as saying you don't have pets or about your ability to drive a car, because they will be judged capable in certain areas. These are perfectly legitimate, because certain aspects of tasks associated with these involve movement, actions, cognition, which people may have contradicting statements in the application, which mirror those actions.
I could go on, now my son is severely autistic, high level dla both elements. I know what the system is like from inside and out of the tent. I worked for 3 years as a PiP DM, I now work as a DWP fraud investigator, people try and do make ia mockery of the system and I enjoy my current role enforcing the rules and prosecute where I can. I also enjoyed seeing people get the help they deserved when I was a DM, I have seen it all from claims for broken legs up to horrendous stage 4 terminal cancer. Sadly people will complain they are hard done by, but I know there are far more who are grateful for the help they have and entitled to.

Charlie do you know how I can get copy of my pip assessment form that I submitted on line. CAB helped me to do it and submitted the form. I later checked as I wanted to print it, but there isn’t an option to print it after submitting. And other people say you can’t print it after submitting. Is there any way to get it?

I have only recently been diagnosed with ASD and told I have ADHD too but would need to wait years for a separate diagnosis. I was nearly arrested once when I had been in A+E for 11 hours. I threw a cup of coffee at the floor in front of the reception desk. My husband intervened because I ran away. I'm 58 this is so embarrassing.

Please do a video on how Carers Allowance is linked to PIP, who can apply (the carer OR the person needing care). CA can be used for any purpose which you the carer, or you the "service user" need.

    Can anyone advise:-
Do you need to be in 1 category or you can fall under more than 1 😕?
When you have no choice but to take your kids to school , does that count as prompting?😢
