    Thank you for your willingness to be open, honest and transparent, it really does help us newbies to get a better handle on how we should be running our embroidery business.

    This was straight forward, thank you. I have a laser engraving company and have been making custom leather hat patches but I really want to get into embroidery. I wish I had the money to invest in one right now.

      Thanks for watching! I think for businesses that deliver a service (although often times it feels like we are creating a product), it is important to remember most of our cost is in labor and more important to charge for it. I've only used a diode laser for cutting patches but would love a real co2 laser for leather patches!

    Thank you for a very useful video. I presume you put tender touch on the back? Look forward to more videos.

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад +1

      For most things, I don't normally add tender touch. Sometimes on shirts depending on the design and size but more often on baby/children's garments.

    Hi, thanks for awesome videos and the one you made about EMT 16+ I almost bought a used Emp) 16+ but after watching yours I decided against it now I am debating between bravo and EMT 16 X and I was wondering if there’s a way we can chat about it I don’t make an expensive mistake. Thank you.

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 месяца назад

      The EMT16X is a goat! But so is the Bravo. The main difference is the limitations. I'm not entirely sure of the Bravo X since it is different than the Bravo I have. If you want to make sure you can do pretty much everything and anything, EMT16X is the way to go. The sew field and hoop sizes are typically smaller on the Bravo. In my opinion, if you are looking to spend that much, go ahead and get the EXT16X so you don't have to worry about these things.

    Where did you get the chart taped to the hoop master?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад

      Its in the instructions when you buy the hoop master. If you don't have it or lost it, I think they have the manual online. I just cut it out and taped it on since its accurate for me 90% of the time.

    Great insights! Did the customer bring you the “ready to stitch file” or did you translate the file yourself coming from a JPEG or vector file?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад +3

      Thanks! Most of the time, my customers just have their image in jpeg or other file types. I then take that and digitize it into a stitch file for the machine to read and work with

    • @heinerradau
      @heinerradau 2 года назад +2

      @@LovesBranding i was contacted by some freelancers who offer file translation services, and according to some other channel i watched, apparently its not the easiest thing to get a nice stitch pattern.. so, do you charge your customers for the file translation, or do you include it in your offer, if so starting from which quantity, and if not, how much do you charge for it?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад +4

      It is definitely an art to be able to digitize well. I am able to do simple designs myself but I actually have a partner who is fantastic at digitizing so I pay him for his services. Then I typically charge my customers about $15-45 for the digitizing based on the size of the design/complicated details/3d puff/etc as they usually requires a bit more work. If the order is large enough (~$200+, I don't have an exact price or quantity point), I will waive this fee for the customer to help with the sale.
      There are many digitizing services out there. A few I would recommend if you are looking are: JJ Digitizing, Dream Digitizing, Brooklyn Digitizing

    Hi, please make a video as to how to get started with your clientele when you are just starting your business. Thanks!

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  9 месяцев назад +1

      I don't make any videos anymore but I started just from word of mouth and telling as many people as possible that I do embroidery. I also did some advertising on Facebook. One thing that helped is creating all the social media pages and posting photos of things you make to show people what you can make!

    What kind of machine do you use? Do you recommend it? Any suggestions For beginners?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  9 месяцев назад

      I like the Melcos because their customer service and tech support is fantastic but it is a bit expensive. There is also a smaller Brother PE800 that I started with but its very limiting on what you can make on it.

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад +1

      Hello! I started with a Brother PE800 which I quickly outgrew. The Brother PE800 is a great machine but has its limitations as a single needle machine. I definitely recommend a Melco or other multi-needle machine if you are interested in starting this as a business.
