You have an amazing honesty and inspiring way of sharing your knowledge. I've been trying to decide on how to develop a business that I started about a year ago, and your video's are so helpful. By the way... Hi mum and dad! Your daughter is amazing 🙂
Rich content. I just found you as I have been looking into getting an embroidery machine, and I want to make it pay for itself. I so enjoy the creative side of the business, and all you shared reminded me to take care of the business side as well. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Yay found a new embroidery channel 🥰😅 We are thinking about getting a machine but definitely want to have a good warranty. Okay checking your beginners machine video next ! Lol.
Hi Mom & Dad. Thanks for supporting your talented daughter. This was an excellent video. Most people don’t go into the actual dollars and cents ( or pounds and pence) that their start up cost, so I appreciate that perspective even though it’s now dated. I still think it’s useful information. I’m happy to see that you now have several multi needle machines. I’m also starting out with a single needle machine, so it will be interesting to see if I can grow my business as quickly as you did yours. Best of luck to you.
Literally could not have got to where I am without my parents support they have been amazing! Thank you for you comment, I think only the machine costs have actually changed significantly as I priced up things for this video a lot of the stationary and consumables are the same price now as when I started in 2016. Once the ball starts rolling with your business you'll be surprised how quickly you need to buy new machines to keep up with orders which is why for 2 years most of my profit went straight back onto machines, then eventually things evened out and I started bringing home an actual wage.
Brilliant video, thanks! This is probably a stupid question but I know the designs that are built into machines are copyrighted and you obviously cant sell things with them on it. but what about the font that's already built into a machine? can you use that to make designs to commercially sell?
Hi. Can you make a video about registering the home business to the council, inland revenue, restrictions, size of room in the house to use for business, those sorts of legal matters with regards to starting an embroidery business at home? ...or if anyone can advise me, please? Thanks a lot. Much appreciated :)
What digitizing software do you use? If you have a video talking about it I would be happy to watch that as well. Have a wonderful day. Ps dogs always bark when we don't want them to. I have 3 so when one starts they all start.
Hi! Thank you for your comment, I use a digitising software called Embird, I do have a tutorial, it’s one of my first videos and I’m hoping to update it soon. He always barks when I least expect it, frightens the life out of me sometimes 😂
Great information. My employer wants to start doing embroidery and has tasked me to get some good information. Your channel is incredibly helpful. I am in Canada. I can't place where your accent is from.
Love your videos! I'm just so unsure of what stabiliser I need, my designs and the size are similar to the hoodie you're wearing. Can you advise if the no mesh stabiliser would be good for hoodied and normal tees? Also, hi Mum and Dad!
Great video, Thank-you 😊 i am new to embroidery and have been learning alot over the past few months. Currently saving to get my own machine, I can't wait. New subbie. Xx
Hi! Thank you for leaving a comment! Machine embroidery is such a fun hobby you can create really incredible things I'm sure you will love your machine when you get it :D
Love your video. Very, very informative. I am a brand new beginner and I'm learning a lot. Thank you!! I hsve 6 dogs. They always want to start barking like crazy when I'm online teaching or shooting my YT videos. 🤣😂
Hi, could I just double check what you mean when you talk about bobbin thread please? Iv recently purchased a Janome 550e and I’m trying to teach myself how to work it as I go. iv been winding the bobbin with the same top thread just like my regular sewing machine though… is this wrong? X
Hi Lauren, love your vids. Can you do a video on threads please? I see there are quite a few types. in the Fb group i'm in, theyre talking about Brothread which appears to be Chinese, Simthread which appears to be American but the suppliers you listed, offer Madeira. Within each brand, there's different types, like polyester and classic, it gets confusing and would appreciate some suggestions and advice on what you think is the best, sound brand and thread type to go with, Kind regards, martin
Hi mum and dad. I have been into monogramming marketing. I digitize in a monogramming outlet. 80% goes to the outlet and the remaining goes to me; but I have been striving to buy my own embroidery machine but more responsibilities step in. How do I safe to procure the machine single head
I would love to do a video like that but I’m a bit wary about giving out advise on those subjects, I’ll do a bit of research first and try to share something like that in the future because it would be a useful subject to cover. Thank you for your comment
The iron on I tried to use on a patch (heat n bond ultra) doesn't hold the patch well after washing. It starts to come off after one or two washes. What product do you recommend?
I use heat n bond ultra too, I have tired a a few alternatives (mainly searching for a cheaper option since Heat N Bond is expensive) For it to only last two washes is disappointing, I have attached a few patches to a cardigan which is regularly washed and I think they’ve stayed attached for over a year however they have started to unstick around the edges. Heat N Bond is just a glue it will wear away over time if the garment is being regularly washed what I usually do is sew a few stitches around the edges of the patches to keep them secure
Hi! Thank you for your comment. I'm in the UK so can't really recommend anybody in the US but what sort of embroidery machines are you looking for? If you are looking for larger, multineedle/industrial machines you might have better luck if you contact the main supplier in the USA directly and they might possibly travel to you
Love your mushroom top 😊, new viewer here, your so informative without making it boring and dragging on n on
Thank you so much! I’m glad the video was helpful 😁😁

Great video, thank you. Please can you tell us where you get your supplies from eg stabiliser, needles etc? Thank you x

If. you are still reading this, I would like to know about your Happy machines. Were they a good investment? I'm leaning that way, but undecided.
Absolutely! Best investment I've ever made. If you'd like to learn more contact Midwest Machinery in Manchester
