DIY Chenille Patches! Patch Hack for machine Embroidery
Im new to embroidery, i wanted to know what is the name of the heat press clothe. That you use to iron on.been looking for it
Thank You!!! Can you do a video on how you make your patches smooth and the adhesive backing .
watched this while sketching some ideas 😂😂 always look forward to these videos!
Hi Lauren, i hav e embird and have been following your videos. i enjoyed the digitizing of the flamingo and would like to see the full version of the sardine tutorial. thanks Franc in France
More vlog videos like this plsss 😊
The final badge turned out amazing! I'd love to see the full in-depth tutorial on this 😀I create my own digital art and would love to be able to properly digitize them. You have given so many helpful tips just in this shorter video! Thanks ☺
Looks amazing ❤
Hi I always wait for your videos coz they are very informative and being British and living in England your videos is the only saurce for all the information that you need to find out about embroidery machines and the rest of the material you need to start a business ,so thank you and thank you and thank you I can’t say it enoght time ,and I would love it if you can do a detailed video about digitising .👍❤
@@inasalsadoon3601 aw thank you for saying so I really appreciate that! I will definitely do a more in depth digitising video, it might be long and boring but it will be detailed 😂😂
Thank you great explanation.
Thank you for this video, Im new to all this. My machine was used and I went under the assumption that everything had already been set. I started looking at all the patches ive made to this point and noticed I was waaay under tensioned on my bobbins and over tensioned on my thread. After a few test stitches, I got it dialed in just like @0:46 and doing a patch as I am typing this and I havent broken a thread on this patch. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
No problem! So glad you found the video helpful. Good luck with your embroidery 🥰
How much did that machine cost?
I bought the machine for £5.5k second hand off EBay brand new they are about £9k I think
Do you make & sell designs? I love your vibe ❤
Can you share what adhesive backing you use for your patches
It’s Heat N bond Ultra 💕
Thank you, best regards. ❤❤❤
I have wondered about the Happy Japan machines. I noticed that your embroidering on jean jackets!
Non vedo l'ora di vedere la review completa 😍

Where did you buy that red hoop pls
I had it from Midwest Machinery in Manchester UK
Thank you . I really love your videos. Just got my multineedle machine 2 week ago but these hoops are not working for me
Ah, come è andata la fiera del cosplay?
Very well thank you 💕 hopefully we will get to do it again next year
It is a very lovely view, I only film on sunny days 😂😂 I will make another video on the Munbyn printer, comparing it to my other thermal printer soon. I really recommend thermal printers they are very efficient
What part of Wales is your beautiful view 😊
Not far from Swansea :D
What a lovely place to work from. Thank you for your videos really helpful😍
I love your videos! So helpful and so practical! Thank you!
Thank you for your comment! :D I'm glad you like the videos <3

Hiii…can I use my hot press machine on your patches? Please❤
Hi! Yes you can. The settings I use to press my patches are 303 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds and it works great
Hiiii do you offer digitized characters?
I don’t sorry 😔
Glad to have made the cut haha!
What are these hoops your using??
Magnetic hoops I got from Midwest Machinery in Manchester UK
Hope you did well at the event!
Dope!
Wow la tua postazione è meravigliosa, tornerai a casa vuota! Aspetto altri video 😍😍😍 buona fortuna ❤
Love the dog contaminating all your product!
You should have stopped at “I love the dog” 😅 he’s non shedding, we have a family member who is allergic to dogs.
Your original artwork is the secret sauce-that makes all the difference!
Your videos are always so informative. Like you, I hate dealing with social media marketing (and I'm still trying to figure it out)! Keep it up!
It’s so hard! I keep feeling like they move the goal posts but it’s also so important
Awesome!
Thank you ☺️
Do you think the embroidery business is over saturated?
Currently just a hobby but would like to make it a business!
I would say there are lots of embroidery business out there selling similar products. It would be very hard to come up with a product in embroidery that is completely unique. However, it is all about how you market yourself and how you create a following online and locally. Creating a brand which stands out is important as that will attract people to your product.
Love it, so honest.
Thank you 💕
you have an amazing work space. I love how much light pours into your work area
Thank you 💕 we’ve put a special film on the glass to protect the equipment from UV but it still allows in light
Hi Lauren, love your video. I went to see the happy Japan in person today. I’m still undecided if I should get a brand new one of second hand. What model is the one you have with the clean front panel right behind you?
Hi! my model is the older model, HCS2, there is a new model available now called the HCS3 and I believe it will be the HCS3 you purchase if you buy brand new. I have done a RUclips video comparing the HCS3 vs HCS2 if you would like to see the differences between the two machines - I think I posted it about 2 years ago. I purchased both my HCS2 machines through eBay second hand they were already 2 or 3 years old when I bought them and I've had them for 5 years since and (touch wood) not had any issues. I think as long as the model you purchase has the Touchscreen you can't really go wrong with either model. And if you do get in touch with Midwest Machinery in the UK let them know you've watched my videos :p
Thanks for sharing this informative video.
🤩
Is the wall threads 5k yards ? Where to get wall oranizer to the 5k yard size
No they are 1000m cobs (the little ones) I purchased the thread stand from eBay. If you want a 5000m stand I think you might have to look into building your own as I haven't seen any ready made to accommodate that size.
@@pinkbirdembroidery8281 how and they sit so nice, from each other the space looks great, may i have a link please 🔥
Hi Pink Bird. Enjoying watching your videos and glad to have found you channel. I'm curious about you hooping you seem to do it on a soft surface rather than hard hooping stations. Do you find this a better method. Sometimes I find I'm hooping too tight. Thanks, M
Hello! If you are referring to the fluffy pink background that is a rug I have sitting on top of a hard table. I use it only for aesthetic purposes for the video usually in hoop directly on the table. However, I’ve not noticed any difference between hooping on the rug vs the table surface. As long as there is something hard underneath that provides a resistance. 😃
Do we need to know any designing tool to use those machines?
If you want to make your own designs then yes, you will need a digitising software, if purchase ready-made designs online you can transfer them directly onto your machine via USB and don’t need any additional software
@@pinkbirdembroidery8281 do you mean designs already created for embroidery or any svg or png could work? I use creative fabrica for premade designs for pod but i don’t know if i should buy specifically designs for embroidery. (Unfortunately i don’t have a design talent and don’t know how to use any tool)
😅😅
What’s a good beginner machine ??
Hi! Check out the second video I’ve made on this channel it talks about what I’d buy if I was buying my first machine again
Hi you know how to connect two Happys with ethernet cord to have them do mirrored stitch outs? Ie like a multihead machine. TIA 🙏
Hi! I don't know the answer to this question but I know it can be done. You need to use a software called Happy Link. Try contacting your local Happy Japan supplier they should be able to tell you more or they might tell you to go directly to Happy Japan manufacturer
The water soluble Vilene is easier to remove.
3x cost of materials sounds unsustainable when factoring in labor, wear and tear, fees, wastage, utilities, space, and growth unless you have 50k+ in machines running simultaneously and ship by the crate daily. it's like a race to the bottom because you could make them even cheaper if you had 100k in machines but the product itself has an inherent value that's relative to market price for comparable items. Just for curiosity I crunched the numbers on a gross extreme. A 5x7 rectangle comprised of 2 5x7 fills @4.0 density with underlay overlapped would cost $2.7 to ship. That's 375 yards of thread (madeira polyneon) @ $1.50, $0.45 of fabric & stabilizer, $0.05 iron on backing, $0.357 for shipping supplies. Standard flatbed machines seem to run at 600sps so that's 2.3hrs and 2hrs @1000sps. So at 3x the patch would sell for $8.12 which is less than $4 an hour so you'd need to make 6 or 8 at a time to be making anything decent, assuming they all sell, which is unlikely over a short time frame.
Exactly that, as I said in the video the flatbeds weren't sustainable which is why I only saw a decent profit when I purchased my multineedles. There were ways I could have made my flat-beds more profitable though on reflection by not making such elaborate patches.
Hi, your videos are great and very inspirational. As a self taught embroiderer with a smal business I can feel your story. By now I don't own a multi needle machine yet. But I changed the working location and am now doing customized embroidery for a company as an employee. There I have access to some multi needle machines and they are a game changer. Embroidery is a fantastic journey that I never want to miss anymore. Thank you so much for charing your story. Greetings from Germany and happy stiching.
Thank you for your comment! It's great that you have access to multi-needle machines now as it will mean it won't be such a steep learning curve when you are ready to purchase your own <3
What digitizing software do you use ?
I use a mix of Embird and Hatch depending on my mood. Both softwares are great but I would recommend Hatch over Embird :D
