I used to like Alpha Flight more than X-Men, I was never a real X-Men connoseur, that's why I don't know Forge but I though about Shaman when you described him as a shaman.

Cable has visited the X-men in the old series...he is from the future a lot further than Bishop is from.
He also never revealed his real name to them until this series, hence why they never made that connection until now.
The X-men have already worked with cable way before Nathan was born he is from the future but he never revealed himself has Scott and Madelyne’s son since they didn’t know they would have a kid yet so when Madelyne had a close up look on cable for the first time she realized that all this time it was her son

Rogue actually misrpronounces Nightcrawlers last name like most people so Its understanable to not know Kurt is German. Wagner with a V sound not w. The X-men encoutered Cable in the first series but never revealed who he really was until now.
Marvel Girl is the OG name of Jean Grey, from the 1960s comics! 😳 lol Beast was also quite different as well..

U gotta realized back in the day cartoons were supposedly just half a hour with commercials. Thats what they went for here keeping it like that. And yes a lot is goin on but its so good.
Cable and Bishop can both time travel and he met the X-men before on his time travel adventures they had no idea he is there son cause Cable never told them his real name ever. They explain it in the original series

Gambit, the worst x-men character ever after dumb Jubilee
love gambit's line about not expecting a "lady caller" all while sitting in a room lit only by fireplace light, sipping what i assume is cognac, and in a killer white suit to top it off.
Forge's ability is he can engineer anything by thinking about it. This also lets him understand technology and magic. He is a master inventor due to his mutant ability.
X-men 97 has been so good it just keeps getting better every episode, I really enjoyed your reaction
Even in the comics, Rogue and Magneto just seemed, a little yuck. Dude is old enough to be Rogues granddad. If you think about that would kinda be like professor x macking on Rachel Summers. Ugh.

When you watch these episodes you have to remember that you are missing four seasons of back story it’s like watching the last 20 minutes of a two hour movie trying to understand what is happening will be hard, even harder for someone to explain it might be better to go back and watch or I’m pretty sure that you can find a video of someone summarizing the past season. And it will save you a lot of time
