@@pauljamieconstruction1871 yeah I have been talking to them as have a concrete floor a bit all over the place and needs to have a few mil or so taken off it so looking at using there rotary thing with the little hammers on it to knock them off and level it....trouble is the extraction unit weighs in heavy. Yeah worth the cost and the weekend hire thingy is a great help!
@@pauljamieconstruction1871 Much appreciate the response. What I am trying to understand and I have looked elsewhere, is why contact between the timber ceiling joists and the RSJ is permitted. I have been told by Building Control to protect my rsj, which is to be hidden in a ceiling void, yet all the examples of boxing in appear to involve contact with timber, or top surface which is only in contact with brick/blockwork
Absolutely brilliant. This is the best yet. Im know director by the way lol. But this vid has it all. Thanks again Paul for taking the time.

Thanks bro. I actually nearly lost my eye about 5 weeks ago. I wear glasses all day now.
Please can you explain why there is no fire boarding on the RSJs.
Hi Paul , because we haven't boarded the ceiling yet

@Paul Abernethy you can use intromescent paint or we put a row of pink (fire plaster board) on the section where the rsj is.
