Great new song. I love there's many "lead" singers in this band. It prevents a predictable one sound, but never heard a bad song from thses guys. Their covers of classic rock songs are amazing!
@@321bytor A lot of modern music, mostly made by certain producers from certain record labels, put in a lot of things into songs witch makes them not very fun to listen to. Altho most of the time they are catchy or are using some things that is populair/trending, it just makes me dislike populair music even more. So this kind of music just feels somewhat refreshing. Atleast that's my take on it. There is not many out there that get attention, and since i watched this band before i guess it got back on my feed. Now i am subbed lol.
@@nwerd7584 I don't think that's what he means. They have vulgarity and profanity in there songs and even a song about "friendly" cousins. I think he means no distortion or autotune even though I think I got little autotune vibe on the chorus of this one.
I just want it on record I’ve been complaining about lack of Danny lead songs for years lol. But fr, Danny’s vocal contributions, since the beginning, have been so underrated. At first, I thought TDS was 2 guys harmonizing, but the more I listened, the more I heard Danny. And just how important Danny’s voice was in that actual 3 part harmony. He has always had a beautiful, soulful voice. And they have really always been doing 3 part harmonies, lately 4 with Colton singing more. My ear can’t pick up ALL the nuances that make this band genius, but ya just gotta appreciate and give props to one that is so talented.
You can no longer imagine what a world without the internet would look like, where you would never in your life have the opportunity to almost stumble past such a great band, pause and enjoy.
Cause back in the day you could hear them once and would have to give life and savings to hear them twice now you can grab a device and hear them thrice
Yeah!!! It's really interesting because I think Scott might be the "best" overall singer in the group, but Nate usually gets lead vocals but when Danny gets a verse or a song? It's EPIC! It's like when Peter Criss would get a song on a Kiss record! OH!!! BONUS! This other guy that's an amazing singer in this group that already has two top shelf lead vocalists. The analogy also fits because Colton "Crawdaddy" Crawford is the sort of oddball like Ace who only wants to sing harmonies and do his lead parts. Although, Colton did a really good job singing the cover song "Scrape The Mucus Off My Brain", his first and only lead vocal so far on "Easy Listening For Jerks, Pt. II". It was pretty solid I'd love see him become the "Ringo" of the group that takes a delightfully odd song on vocals from time to time.
We had the privilege of seeing The Dead South in concert last night in Edmonton. I’m still snapping my fingers and stomping my feet to their tunes in my head.
I am usually so out of the loop I see music releases years after. I've never been this early for music in my life. I'm finally in the loop. I've made it, boys. 😎
I was a late comer to The Dead South too. Radio stations don't play their music as much as they should. If it hadn't been for the Umbrella Academy on Netflix and the Shazam app.... I fear I would be missing out.
I do like The Dead South but there are an absolute crap ton of great bands in this genre. Trample by Turtles, Devil Makes Three, Mean Mary, The Builders and the Butchers, The Heavy Horses, The Graveyard Train to name a few.
@@RaoulPonchon-l7w Yep, good stuff. If you like Builders you might like some of the others in my bluegrass playlist, which is public to everyone. If you get a chance check some of them out.

Was so blessed to see them live in their home country 🇨🇦 at a small music festival in northwestern ontario, before they were famous!! Amazing talent, they were playing so hard they were busting guitar strings & a close friend of mine was replacing strings as fast as she could!! Love their Music & All Bluegrass!! ❤❤❤
Can't say enough that hasn't already been said about the talent of this ensemble. As for the video, I really dig the chess scene. The moving floor and board boundary is bad ass.

Never thought Canadians would do Southern music so well.
Yet, here we are and they are great.

So love theses guys. I’m an Aussie and was introduced to them by my son who was stationed in America. What a special time.
I’m a Japanese immigrant who got into bluegrass and love the Dead South and wish they’d perform in Japan and make it big there
