I'm most typically a metal head. The first song I heard from these guys was In Hell I'll be in Good Company, and I was hooked. Great sound, great vocals, great melodies. If you don't love this band, you've got no soul.
Bluegrass and metal actually have a lot in common. They both feature a lot of fast and technical playing and a deviation from musical norms. As well as the emotional outpouring that both genres got from the Blues. I've known a lot of metalheads who love this band, like my mom
If you don't mind you should have played jos slovick the original I am a poor wayfaring stranger to really get the audience. Then ended with Tiny wooden box
That's a good thing. I'm not sure why everyone wishes for these great artists to rise to the top of the music industry. 90% of the time, that means the band sells out, and starts playing music the industry tells them to play instead of the wonderful music they once played. I prefer it when these great bands stay below the radar
If you told me 10 years ago that the one of the most heaviest break down riffs around had a banjo & a mandolin in it, I would have called you crazy! I love these guys! Can’t wait for the new album.

Lifelong rocker and metalhead here and yet these guys are easily one of the best three bands I've ever heard in my life.... In a world where everything's been done a million times before, it's hard to have a truly original sound that can't really be defined. This is it.

Thank you for the new song. Long time listener of your tunes and thank you for keeping the band intact these years. I know that is really hard to accomplish. You will be proud later in life. Time is the key but the pain of losing friends and close family members does not go away. We relive it every day, or I'm sure that I do. It's a hurt that bottles of whiskey and other vices dull but cannot cure the memories of lost loved ones. We live on...somehow knowing our friends will feel the same hurt and pain when we pass. I hope to see ya'll in Dallas soon.
I just lost my grandfather back in June. He fought cancer for a little over 2 years and didn't want anyone to know truly how bad it was. Right at the end he couldn't even speak anymore, and couldn't even get out of bed, but he was still wanting to work. The man worked construction and raising cattle his whole life, as well as hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood, they always had a wood stove so that generally kept him busy. In the end he just needed something to keep his hands busy to the gave him a piece of string so he could tie knots, and a bolt and nut for him to thread on and off. Just so he had something to do. I work weekend nights and I got woken up by a call Monday morning that he was going downhill fast and that we should all get there. He passed the next morning with nearly the whole family there. Unfortunately time doesn't heal everything. Just makes it hurt worse when you look back on memories with someone who's no longer here
"If time heals everything, then why do I, still feel this pain?" It's part of being human. The survivors are burdened with pain, but, we also get to keep the memories of the ones we loved. Sometimes bad memories, alot of times good memories.
