Tipper work is definitely the easiest work a lorry driver will ever do. I’m lucky to drive a new Scania too. Completely agree that Scania are the best and most comfortable to drive out of all the lorries on the road. 👍
Yep try spending 14 hours in a class 2 Iveco ....no back adjustment to the seat you are in the same position ! Just closer to the pedals is all you can do with the seat .
The hardest part of truck driving is dealing with dispatch on pick up or delivery and the condition of weather especially if there is snow and ice or getting directions to the receiver of the loads.
Yeah it’s good if you get big easy yards to work with. Bit more stressful in small towns or farms reversing with an inch or two either side! If only all days were like that, nice video though
Hi mate, I've really enjoyed watching your videos great mate. Keep it up. I've got my class 2 nearly 2 years. Not done any work yet. Shity agencies and multidrop not good at all. I've also got bus licence as well done nearly 5 months. I'm a taxi driver now also had enough. I want to leave completely. And get class 1
Nice video brother I really enjoyed it . I'm currently driving class 2 lorry for it about a year ago but really thinking of upgrading my license to c+e ...
Great video Kaytrue some awesome reversing skills you make it look easy I say it was hard at the start when you where only new at driving the artic and trailer looking forward to the next video 👍
Doing my training and class 1 licence in september! Can not wait! Only thing im really worried about it reversing but seriously excited! Right career change from a chef but always wanted to do it
Cheers for the vid. I'm currently an Ocado driver 3 ton driver. I'm thinking of going for the full artic license I'm just not fully sure yet because of some of the bad things I've heard .... just wondering if these are the usual grumps and annoyances you get in any job (I mean I know some of the issues already i.e. traffic ect, other road users) but the actual job itself .... are drivers right when they tell me it can a crap profession to work for? I only ask as the course is around 3K and I don't want to spend that amount of money getting into a career that is bad.
Truck drivers spend all day keeping a schedule... I'm shocked that Scania didn't add a big obvious clock to the dashboard. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
do most trucks have digital dashboards cause I cannot drive with them they give me migraines all the time which won’t be safe for me to drive. Even my car I drive it is a 2008 volks polo because it doesn’t have a digital dashboard.
Im a project manager for an engineering firm. The money is excellent but it's extremely stressful. I am interested in doing my HGV license and changing career, i think I would enjoy it.
@@kaytrue I think I will, your channel has inspired me. You seem to really enjoy it and that's what it should be like, my current job is very high stress / high demand. Keep doing what you do mate, cheers.
Great video mate. Just a quick question. How long does it usually take to get unloaded? Is there an average time or does it vary quite a bit depending on the load? And while you’re unloading, what do you do with the taco? Do you set it to ‘other work’ or leave it the way it is?
Cheers mate unloading time depends on how busy they are when you turn up to the drop or what company you’re delivering to anywhere from 45min to 2hrs it all depends if you’re getting unloaded and just waiting around you put the tacho on break because you’re not working, if you have to unload the truck yourself I take a break before or after unloading and not whilst on bay unloading but it’s up to you personally as it’s your driving license.

I’ve started as a mechanic and I have put lots and lots of money into my work on tools, I like my job but I’m in love with the idea of becoming a HGV driver, I just love driving and lorries, what should I do? Any advice would be much appreciated please.
Go hgv fitting if you're young. You'll get to drive trucks and use the tools. I'm an old tech and I'm going back to driving now to save my body any more injury. As a tech with a licence you will get more money in most places. Only thing is you might get the driving bug. Can't lose either way really.
You should try support work, if your client has challenging behaviour and doesn't want to do anything you can sit in the office all day looking at your phone whilst getting paid!
@13:26 You say driving is easy? - How long does it take to get used to reversing the trailer into bays? I've been looking into getting my HGV licence, but the trailer reverse scares the s#*t outta me, honestly. The thought is holding me back.
As a white lorry driver I respect you mate. I just saw you take your shoes off when you get into the cab. Not many drivers do it. So respect to you. Keep on trucking and keep safe
Hi it’s different for everybody it depends on how much you revise a little bit like the car theory test, but for the HGV there’s more to it just keep revising and book when you think you’re ready🙂
Driving is the easiest job?!! It's better to go and ask experienced drivers that driving more than a decade. If you are worried about your healthiness don't do this job for the long term

Where do you live mate ?
Just passed my class 1 but i am in Kent, any advice where to look for first class 1 jobs ?
I’m in Reading mate look for companies that take on new passes get 1-2 years experience and then you can try agencies when you’re comfortable
