It's mad watching your videos again, I first started watching you about 7 years ago because I was thinking of doing my hgv license and you was the first video that popped up and I ended up getting hooked, it made me proper excited to be a hgv driver.. I've now been driving hgv's for 6 years and that excitement has disappeared and now its just a job but still a good job, however watching your videos again brings back the feelings of how excited I was to get into the industry and learn from your videos, I used to love when you uploaded a new video my missus used to buzz off me.. keep enjoying it jay.. cheers mate

Defo. You also have to be careful when pulling out on roundabouts because you don't expect a car to more off as fast as they do.

Hello Jay, your not the only one then always have my braking gap taken by a car one day they will learn and it will be a mess of metal.
Always something with a DAF! Last Friday we had to put a new exhaust after treatment system ecu was just under 7k Australian then I was taking it back today because it had another after treatment fault because the techs never re connected the AdBlue injector and what happens it shit a clutch $6750+GST nearly 14k and it hasn’t turned a wheel as soon as I can trade these 2 we have I will never again and to top it off the thing tried to lurch into an intersection when it decided today is the day for the clutch and being an auto pulled on the park brakes foot hard on the brake so I didn’t end up on traffic it stalled and had to tow it to the dealer so probably another $500 for a 3km tow!!! I’d rather a clapped out volvo then ever have another DAF

How you earning that much driving a truck?Is it specialised work your doing ?
No, it’s tramping. So in a week as a Tramper you tend to complete 64-68 hours…that how….not all driving hours though!!!!!
@@jayd1974 Most older truck drivers I know have some form of back problems from the work. You'll also not be seeing your family as often as someone who works a standard 9-5.
Also, I'd imagine their unions have a ton of leverage, as lorry drivers going on strike would cause the country the shut down.

I aint a truck driver nor do I own a Tesla or Aldi, anyway my question when you jump out of the cab does the driver seat lower on its own to help when getting back in or was I seeing things cheers
Lol yes it does it has its own suspension on air
Another question I have always wondered, if you park up overnight and its on a slight hill does the bed have a way of being levelled often wondered that as I have no life :)

A manual DAF doing class 1 go on son
This is the problem with all this automation and big screens in cars, it removes people’s brains and disengages them from actually driving. People becoming too reliant on the cars warning and safety systems they become complacent, especially young drivers with no to little experience. Try not to lose your cool with others though, you predicted the situation and there’s no point getting stressed as ultimately it hurts you more. I do of course understand the frustration. Have a good one.

from my experience i would say audi bmw mercedes drivers are all good the problems most i had was with minis and other small kind cars..

like watch your videos so far im fairly new in the industry still in procces to sit on Class 1 arctic or what ever they call so far driving over 6 mth on class 2 most of the time home deliverys and enjoying so far the only bad point is people at the moment so of them are rude to ya with no reason

Saw a tesla that was driving right up the asshole of a logging truck, i dont understand why cause it was catching all the twigs and detritus coming off the truck, and you cant pass on that stretch of road cause its too windy so he stayed in his blind spot for about 10 minutes.

Oi im an Audi driver, but an Audi v10 r8 driver and being a women. I'm a fab driver. With having a very fast car u don't have to drive fast. I'm sensible not rude. When that car came across the shevrons to overtake you. In 1996 some caused me massive accident neally killing me doing that.Also I'm an ex class one driver myself.

Nice to see a manual shift on a truck again, not many buy them anymore. If you wounder why left seat are so equipped it because you sitting on the wrong side, you even drives on the wrong side of the road. Man trucks will not disturb production line to separate uk from eu. So the left seat is alsow a drive seat. But not for you uk drivers.

It's weird how the cultural differences are. In Canada Audi drivers are much more behaved. I wouldn't say "typical Audi driver". I would say "typical BMW driver", though, in the same scenario.
