Your wife is right--it's just all logic. Nice of you to help with everything, and really nice of you to listen to her and do it like she does! I hope that she's better.
I started hanging the jeans upside down too, the heavier part gets more airflow and they get a bit more stretched, so no ironing needed. For the socks I got the small laundry accessory for my Leifheit Standing dryer, saves on needing washing clips, for each sock. I've invested in good stainless steel ones without a spring, so they will hold a lifetime or be passed on to my daughter 😂
I used to do it like that for years in Germany. But now I got a heat pump dryer and just use it to save time and trouble, especially in the winter. In summer I go back to hanging big things outside , but little things like socks and undies I just use the heat pump.
I also always hang out clothes, including sheets in the summer for the FRESH SMELL & by hanging clothing outside, you save on your ELECTRICITY BILL & clothes are far less prone to SHRINKING.

Yes, my wifey also likes hanging out the clothes for the fresh air smell. :) Glad you do it that way too, Terri!

Super Beitrag! Erspart ein Ingenieur-Studium. 👩🎓
Never ever wash Dark clothing in WARM WATER--it must always get washed in cold water 😊
I think it was warm water, 40 degrees celsius. :)
