So glad it has helped! That is exactly why we do what we do! To help as many people play better and enjoy the worlds greatest game more than ever! Thanks for watching!
Detailes explanation and well presented. Manage both height and distance out of deep and shallow bunkers would be good including soft and hard sand conditions.
Love it Mike. The grip tweak is the only difference from what I do now. I always felt the closer we get to the green, the quieter our body needs to be. For me, hitting a bump and run with a higher lofted iron from a very tight lie is my kryptonite. To get comfortable I will opt to sweep with a PW or 9 iron rather than my 48 or 56 degree wedges. Getting it *anywhere* on the green, in this scenario, is my thought. Love the content, bro. 🤟
Thank you so much for the kind words Mark! Your doing exactly what you should when you play golf you do whatever you have to to get the ball as close as possible! When you practice challenge yourself! The grip will help the club naturally work more up the plane in the takeaway allowing you better contact! In short green side bump and runs I feel like the lower body is quiet and chest armpits and ribcage are in control of moving the arms and club! Soft grip is important as well to be sure you can feel the weight of the clubhead! Let the club do the work! Thank you for watching! Let me know if there’s any content you’d like to see!
A good tip is to rewatch this video and write down the checkpoints on an index card. So when you go to practice, you can recall the steps for a perfect bump and run! Have fun out there!
Good presentation of what is necessary to achieve a gimmee. How to manage height and distance out of steep and shallow bunkers, with both hard and soft sand conditions would be good
I ask because I have been practicing this in my living room on the carpet and find myself chunking it at times no matter how much I get my weight forward
I always love the shaft upright! I think the most important thing for somebody chunking it would be to make sure their sternum is a little bit more over their front foot… that will keep the point forward… with that tight lie you’ve either got to commit to hitting golf ball first and then the ground and you might get a little stick. or you would get the face a little bit more open The Chef a little steeper, and make almost be putting motion that feels more downward
But again, most of the time when I hear about this, it’s the pressure being on the left foot, but the upper body leaning back or the head going backwards through the golf ball
Which SHORT GAME Tip should we cover next?!
Chip from rough. Chip over bunkers.
Would love to see a steep greenside slope chip, both uphill and downhill, please.
Hey do you have a Video on the grip by chance. I was trying to see how exactly you grip it but couldn't quite see .
Thank you. This has helped my short game so much. I have been working on this, and it has made a huge difference in my short game.

Great tip……I struggle a lot with this shot and it cost me during a round golf. I will definitely work using this technique.

Great video Mike! Would this same setup apply to a tight lie? Or would you want the shaft to be more upright in that case?

Which clubs are recommended for this shot?
Flop shots over bunkers
Done!
I know the grip is preferential, but why do you like the interlock? Is it small vs large hands?
All personal preference! Both are good!
