The reason people need to watch all your videos is how you develop the swing through your videos. I have unconsciously been doing this and my games improved so much. Elbow position, crucial, in right and left arm. How you turn. How you use your wrist. All this suddenly clicked for me and all fitted into place. Brilliant coach.

This with knobs on. The Maude Method is consistent and coherent. Provided you don’t get distracted by too much OTHER stuff on here and you practice based on these lesson plans, you will improve and you will have more fun as confidence builds.

This understanding of the right hand, right arm, and right side completely changed my game. The golf swing is more of an “under” swing than people envision it to be. This is how I picture it…. Try to sling your club underhanded through 4 sheets of drywall 10 feet in front of you(towards fairway, or green). This will make your right shoulder go down, under, and THROUGH. The through part is VERY important. This gives you a feeling of hitting the ball forward, instead of focusing your intention on hitting down “at” the ball. You’ll feel some right side bend through impact, weight on your left side, and your hips and shoulders facing the target through your finish. This feeling, along with proper wrist conditions are truly the keys to great ball striking, in my opinion. Love your content, Danny. Always dead on point.

This is a cracking lesson. Masterful translation of Cowen’s ‘spinning down‘ that confused so many of us. R&A website will be getting lots of hits to check exactly what grips are legal in competition. I’m building a practice 54 degree wedge just like that this weekend.

I was thinking this same thing. I might throw a putter grip on one club at the 45 angle for practice swings if it really will help and not make hitting with normal grips confusing.

Did a slow range session on this lesson plan and was getting crazy distance on 7 and 8 iron with what felt like a half back swing. And so straight. More importantly in weekend medal round hit some mid irons into par fours much better with this feel ( lots of 3 putts though ) Old gap wedge has putter grip at 45 degrees on now and my testing yesterday indicating this is a very useful aid for this building this feel.

@@PKKPKK100 Yes a picture would be good and a close up. I'm not sure 45 degrees is best....see Steve Johnson "I put a putter grip on my 7 iron" video.....and you 'll see he uses a normal putter grip with flat side 90 degrees to right so that his right hand and forefinger applies pressure to flat side. In any event these 2 coaches are the best.....and these tips will increase compression, resulting in better ball stiking. Gosh....how I need that!

Hi Dan,I have been teaching Jim Hardy method since it was first introduced on the "Golf Channel" Many teachers today are talking about straight arms in the follow thru. Jim hardy method has left arm going up and back after impact which is correct and maintains centrifugal force. Attempting to get arms straight more than 2 feet after impact is wrong and the club goes too far down the line. It also breaks the circle and it's bi product ie; centrifugal force.
To quote Hogan. Page 105 of 5 lessons. " the right arm gradually straightens as it comes in to the ball l, but it isn't until the clubhead is 2 feet or so past the ball that it straightens out completely. At THIS point, the left arm is also straight, THE ONE AND ONLY TIME THAT BOTH ARMS ARE FIRMLY EXTENDED. After this THE LEFT ARM BEGINS TO FOLD IN AT THE ELBOW" . You still get extension as the right arm stays straight to the finish.
Would appreciate Your thoughts on this as I know several folks are confused after looking at both scenarios. Enjoy all Your videos, keep them coming. Ray.

Danny - it blew my mind when I first saw your wedge and iron with a putter grip on them. Then when you started working thru the shot process, it made excellent sense. Great explanation on how the hand path needs to go. Big takeaway for me - pushing thru on plane (keeping the body rotating). Keep the great content happening!

Awesome content. When you work on the move with spine angle it is like a new level of pitching.

Really enjoyed this lesson Danny. I had the worst golfing experience last weekend. This will help. Headed to the range to work on this. Cheers Danny!
    Much appreciated,

Hi Danny, Thanks for this video. After watching it and taking in the subtext of it, my ball hitting immediately improved! Unbelievable, yes I really felt the sensation. 🙂

It’s great Danny. One question. Do you keep the open 45 degrees only for the chipping? I don’t see any 45 degrees on the others club on the video.Thank’s again for your teaching

People used to try to take the hands out of the swing, kind of silly, golf is a sport with a stick and a ball, the hands are crucial. Thanks Danny, and love the work with Mr. Cowan

When I normally swing, the majority of the effort comes from my lead arm. What I understood from the Sean Foley video was "pushing" using the trail forearm. When I would pull using my lead arm, a "chicken wing" would result. When pushing more (maybe a more balanced swing force), the ball flight was more consistent and longer. Just thought you might like to know.

I took this straight to the course yesterday and shot nett 64 in the 2nd round of our club championship. (After nett 80 in the first round) So easy to follow and execute.

Brilliant Danny, this really works. My main issue now is coordinating the downswing with my hip rotation. Now I either duff it or hit a great shot. Nothing in between!😂
