Thanks for watching!
"do you notice anything wrong with them?"
*I'm sorry for having such a cursed mind*
Same
yes
Was just gonna say something along the lines of that when until I scrolled down and saw your comment, wouldn't wanna steal it even if it wasn't my intention hahaha
@@killiankillian8713 broooo i honestly wouldn't mind it at all, too kind for the internet my guy
Tokaku going to have a great time with them
oops sample text
also sorry, I had to reupload the video because the audio was crackling in the previous one??? But I'm still hearing crackling right now (in premiere) and I'm starting to think it's just youtube premiere causing crackling. I hope the actual video doesn't have it (EDIT: It doesn't have it, omg what's wrong with premiere now)
No problem
prob just the youtube premier
tokaku the info i told you on stream it could be a little bit false because mine calculations arent done yet but im almost done with them. and your fps adds extra lag to the joycons, and most of the lag comes from bluetooth
Cool video 😎
sample tokaku y this comment no top?
Without looking at the gameplay, she looks insane
Are you telling me that you don't air drum when listening to banger drum solos?
@@doinkson now that i think about it..
@@doinkson I sometimes do that actually
@@doinkson not with that expressionless, focused face;;; more like a "fuck yeahhhhh!!!" rocker face
@@doinkson me, an uncultured swine: what are "drum solos" 👁👄👁
From just watching this I tihnk I know what the problem is? In the tutorial, it says for the ka to swing at a 45 degree angle. To the point where the joycon is horizontal instead of vertical. Whereas when you're playing you never turn the joycon and try to hit where it would be on a real drum, but it doesn't look like its programmed that way. It would have to recenter the joycon a lot if it were, and instead seems to be programmed with different flicks.
you know that if this actually was nintendo licensed they'd be 50 dollars tho
The “sample text” and the start made me laugh
U SAW THAT TOO?
@@ihatejacks3595 ..yes? it’s literally the first two words in the video
i didn't notice that that's so genius
*"sample text"*
Maybe the editor forgot to put the "hewwo everybody" there
"Not great, not terrible"
*Chernobly flashbacks*
I mean... true?
чернобыль
@@davidcoolguy Why did you just say Chernobyl in Ukranian?
The joycon colors are correct if you buy the neon joycon separate. The ones you buy as just joycon are actually reversed colors compared to the ones that come when you get them with the switch
“Don-Chan’s a ho, we don’t go there”
Lmao
I was actually really curious about these sticks so this video was super helpful! I was lucky enough to get the drum bundle so I 100% prefer the drum but it's nice to see these accessory options if you can't afford a drum right away.
Me: Can we have taiko no tatsujin drum controller?
Mum: We already have it
The controllers at home:
lol
Your videos constantly bring me joy on my darkest rhythm gaming days (and also a newfound rhythm game equipment addiction). Your content will always be 12.83 ppt in my heart.
*Weeeeeeeeee*
I love how she plays Touhou Memories of Phantasm Intro lol
The drum just drank an invis potion
The colors actually match on some of them, my switch has the red left one
nah if u look at it closely its correct. the thumbstick is upside down i think
@@koizept6528 it’s not
@@MegaTaco420 the controllers are upside down
nah, some switches come with the red one on the left and the blue one on the right while some come with the red one on the right and blue one on the left
@@brandonng5264 that’s the replacement joy cons since they don’t have blue and red but only red and blue
Actually ordered a Hori drum & buying the game digitally once it gets here in a few weeks thanks to watching your previous videos last night so it's funny to see this the day after. Never played a game in the series so thanks for showing it off. It looks really fun! As for these drumsticks... maybe someday? IDK lol
I'm gonna start greeting people by saying "Sample Text, how are you?"
Ah yes tokakus famous line
" sample text"
i dunno if others mentioned this but for people with trouble hitting "Ka's".
It's not really a "Zone" you have to hit in but more of a different motion you have to make to perform a "Ka".
Instead if hitting straight down you make an angular motion. The best way to explain it is flicking your wrist at the end of the motion.
Not that we're trying to be competitive with motion controls lmao.
Love the video.
Never did I expect to see RTGame mentioned in one of your videos
The "hewwo everybody" is so damn adorable XD
Is concerned with latency down to the ms and high polling rates --> plays taiko through the obs recording screen
tbf it is a rhythm game
The Switch version was my first time getting into Taiko no Tatsujin so I don't know how true to real taiko drumming it is. However, you need to really do the twist and direct the joycon to the side in order to hit kas with motion controls and it takes a bit to get used to, but when you do, you can hit them consistently. Definitely not able to play on extreme with motion, though.
This reminds me so much of Samba de Amigo on the Wii, both in terms of the questionable motion control implementation and the extremely silly third party maraca accessories just like this that came out for that
the motion controls are pretty wacky, you have to swing your controller to the side, like, to the right for the ka's, instead of hitting down but higher than the dons, I would just recommend the drum or the touch drum when you play handheld mode, unless you have the motion controls down to a tee
tokaku : hwello everybody
subtitles : sample text
I'm glad you didn't make a cursed thumbnail art this time around compared to that one taiko product review...........
I have wii flashbacks.
Classic hewwo everybody but with sample text, nice one. Ms. Jolene
"Where's the ka zone??"
The game telling you to hit diagonally:
I like the subtitles since future her would look at the footage of past her on things they wouldn’t agree on so future her would regret saying the things about the drumsticks from past her
That”helloeverbody” never gets old
fun fact: there is an official neon blue right joycon and neon red left joycon, they were released at the same time switch was released.
The joy-cons actually are the right colour. They’re just different if you buy them individually.
the iconic intro
“Sample Text”
when tokaku is TIRED of putting subtitles - sample text
I have a drumming practice pad, so I guess that plus these sticks could work a bit better, but they may be prone to snapping. And given the price, the only reason you might buy that combo would be if you're DESPERATE to play at a certain angle or height.
thanks for reminding me that I'm bad at taiko no tatsujin
nooooooo
best part of drumming is feeling the sticks hit the drum
on my case, the motion controllers works SO BAD, but i calibrated the sensors on the controller options on the system menu, and after then, works SO GREAT (i even cleared a few lv 9 onis, like KARMA)
is a curious setting, like... you can play with friends and "hahaha taiko mode without drums", and nothing more imo, not the best experience, but curious for a little bit, and welp, was a really good arms excercise!
yesterday while i was playing taiko at tge arcade and randomly thought would tokaku review the joycon drumsticks
What if you used something to hit with the sticks, so that it absorbs the hit and you don't have to make as much force on the returning motion.
that's that I was thinking. a drum pad might work well for that.
Technically, the colors CAN be correct. I have the same color setup for my Switch. (bear in mind that I got the gray JoyCons with mine)
What happens if you try using the drumstick accessory to hit a real drum?
My thoughts exactly, not many people have real drums tgo
Your Joycons explode
"Also we go with Katsu-Chan. Don-Chan is a Ho, we don't go there" had me dying there
This feels like something that would come out during the Wii era.
“Don-chan’s a ho we don’t go there” i am dead 1:44
I may try these. I like motion control, but it can be a pain. So, that's why I mostly play in tap mode.
Switch Left: blue
N switch controller left: red
Switch right: red
N switch controller right: blue
if I remember correctly you can buy the red left blue right joycon as a pair of additional controllers and the blue left red right comes with the base console.
tutorial: swing at atleast 45 degree to hit KA zone
Tokaku: HOW DO I DO KA'S
I kinda like the drumsticks, they look kinda dope
Fantasy Kaleidoscope OP AAAAAAA so gud
Imagine playing beat saber with that xD
my fav part of every tokaku video is "hewwo everybody"
Tokaku: playing with motion controls that are literally impossible, manages to score 260k on an extreme difficulty song.
Me, unable to get past 160k points with an official drum controller:
you can buy a version of the joycons with the colors inverted(right blue, left red) .
and original
You sound like that green robot thing from Cartoon Network, did you voice part of my childhood :o??
Edit! Wow I am dense, I missed the video they made, like days ago addressing that they’re not BMO! Thank you though, really good! :D
sample text strikes back
You're supposed to swing your input for the KA not hit more to the side it's the angle not where u hit in the air since it's just gyro
Gotta love those Lazada buys...
Omg your voice sound as if bmo had it's robotic voice gone :0
MEMORIES OF PHANTASM
Great video like always :D
I think like an attachment like this that had buttons on the tip at correspond to the areas to hit would be cool
I noticed you know the songs more than just testing the motion control. Well Played still.
I'm glad I saw tokaku's tiktok
I haven’t ever played this game beyond it’s inclusion in Yakuza 5 so I’m not 100% sure, but I wonder if having a flat surface to use as a makeshift drum would make things easier and allow for a semi similar experience to a real drum without paying exorbitant prices for one.
Would like to see if it works better (if at all) when you actually use the sticks to hit somthing like the table or a round container/tin.
can't you put a hard surface where a tatacon would be if you dont have a tatacon? maybe if its big enough you would be able to constantly hit the ka zone
0:39
It’s correct actually my + joycon is blue while - is red
I hate to be that person, but technically the box showing red being a different handed controller is not wrong. You can get red joy con for both the right, and left. Same with blue. So technically, the box isn’t wrong.
"Don chan is a ho we dont go there"
Dang ok
this reminds me of the era of wii accessories
when you mentioned rtgame I immediately broke down laughing lmao
0:32 well the colors are incorrect but if you buy them from a store for example GameStop the left joy-con will be red and the right will be blue, but if you get your switch out of the box the left will be blue and the right will be red, I think Nintendo sold the opposite colors due to people wanting 2 of the same colors on their joy-cons
E p o c
:)
When she says looks like bowling pins
Me in my head: Nintendo Wii sports song intensifies.
Also this vid was posted at 10 15 at Sg time
I would love to see playing with these things, with motion control, but actually hitting a real (or knock off!) tatacon! I wonder if there is any improvement!
What happened to that different keyboard switches comparison for osu video?
Ikr!?!!?
The intro is so fast HELOUBRI
what happened to the video about 30 (i forgot how many) switches on osu? also what happened to the gaomon s620 video? how come you delete your videos so much
The switch image from the box is acctually real it's not wrong they just use other collor joy con. I have the same collor joy con like the picture
I think tatakon is much better because you can see and FEEL the hit. I can't imagine how do people play this with just joycons
ngl at first i thought they were modeled for wii remotes because of how long they looked
peanut inc. our savior 😭
"The colors cont seem very correct"
Hey, I have those joycons (Right blue, left red)
*when you realise a ‘touhou’ song is in this video*
I always like how your setup is. May you please share whay monitor you use for your consoles and which keyboard there is that you use ?
I use a pixle monitor (some singaporean brand, it's a budget 240hz 27 inch monitor). My keyboard is a custom keyboard, it's a KBD75, you can find it on KBDfans, the keycaps are oblivion SA profile
Ooooo the keyboard sounds nice lol imma look into it. Thank you for sharing
I expected you to use those sticks against a table or something lol
now u can mod ur drum with a pillow , without a drum!
I'm a bit disappointed she didn't try it out by smacking it on the table using it as a drum replacement
Actually right when the switch came out the red was on the left side and the blue is on the right lol I have both styles of blue and red being on the opposite side of the controllers now and days.
Love this vid
Jolene: Just buy the hori drum
Taikoforce lvl5 drum that its worth buying if you have the money: Am I a joke to you?
tokaku cursed gaming
Greeting from Malaysia :)
Weve done it, we went back to the wii mote
0:32 they were flipped around as u see the buttons and the sticks are in different places
that image was showing a switched color joy cons
