Of course cuz its clickbait. Every youtuber does it now, nintendo looking thumbnails with an ai generated switch 2. This channel used to be creative but now dude is just yappin and doing low quality half baked 3D rendered sequences
The fact that they had people shove their hand inside a box that the console was in to avoid information leaking is so funny. Can't wait for the gameplay test where they make sure each tester has dementia.
i bet this is fake news. for what reason would nintendo do this? it just makes no sense and the fact that no one seems to be critical about this just tells me that people are sheeps
I think everyone is getting the magnet parts wrong. I don’t think they will get rid of the rails. Rails are always super secure and rigid, the amount of force the magnet would need to be strongly attached would be huge. Making it clearly dangerous if someone put a finger in between the joycon and the switch. Also magnets can’t never be strong enough to hold the switch if you do any kind of bending motion. The thing they will be using the magnets will be to replace the back button that you always have to press to release the joycons. That thing is connected right now to a plastic thing that is easily broken and is kinda a pain in the ass. A magnet would be a perfect fit to fix that L shaped plastic thing that holds the joycons to the switch, but the rails would still be in the new switch. Can’t believe how people can imagine joycons using only magnets as the only holding method, is just out of a fairy tail.
Yeah exactly, in what world will magnets be strong enough to hold even slight bends? Magnets to snap the joycon in place in the rail makes sense. Someone should use magnet paper to check the new charging stand to see the magnetic capability of it!
I actually do believe a clip-on magnet system could work. They could use weaker magnets for initial connection and then have some kind of attachment mechanism that holds the joy con in place more securely. It would make removing and attaching more seamless. But yea they might just stick to rails
@@danmarm5357 also, what if the switch dies, then you can't put your joycons on? So the joycons will magnetize initially, but the strong magnet won't come into effect...?
Magnetic controllers won’t attach like the current joycons, it’s wayyyy too risky for many reasons. It is much more likely the joycons will lodge into moulded "joycon beds" on the sides. It will allow the S2 to have ergonomic grips (one of the biggest complaints) at the cost of being bigger without the joycons (something nobody cares about). In that configuration, the magnet only keeps the joycons in place... and not the entire console (which, again would be a terrible idea)
I dont think that either. The strong magnetic field would really hinder Wifi performance and either the wifi or the magentic rail needs some big workarounds so that both can work properly.
yeah. They're doing LCD because of costsaving measures and then they spend a huge amount of R&D on some novel attatchment system using electropermanent magnets because the rails were kinda mid??? doesn't make any sense
The joycon rails and the release button breaking is a serious issue with the current switch. It may be to prevent them from getting damaged if the console is dropped
I had a dream last night about the switch 2 reveal. They called it the "Switch Infinity". I doubt thats the actual name, but it would be pretty neat if my dream was correct.
This is by far the best rumor-overview video I have ever seen. You are punctual, don't over-exaggerate, and just lay down news and information, all without being insistent on viewer interaction (likes, subscribes). Not to mention the great effects; some of the 3D text shown integrated with on-screen gameplay was really impressive. Great introduction to this channel, I hope to see more!
What if the switch 2 was beefier like the steam deck and the Rog ally and that extra beefiness was to store the bigger battery and the game cards and1 button for Turing on a game card.
I want the Switch 2 to have infrared lights imbued on the system itself (with the ability to turn them On or Off at will, both to save battery life and to stop interfering with existing Sensor Bars if present), and for the right Joy Con to have the IR sensor on the top of the controller, so we can have Wii games ported to the Switch 2 without having to compromise on anything!
"RED. YELLOW. GREEN. BLUE." -Jake Steinberg The render on the thumbnail is so good! The colored buttons on the D-Pad buttons would be so nice when sharing a single joycon. "Which button do I press?" "The green one!" LOVE the little LEDs. So simple, but could serve so many little purposes. (And STREETPASS!)

Had a few predictions for what I’d want with a Switch 2, but without bogging things down down too much, here is what my hopes are: - Backwards compatibility with games and official controller schemes (sorry Pokeball controller) - Retiring the Amiibo NFC support for the new controller scheme (retained on the older controllers) - Removal of the IR Camera - System launches with two models, mimicking the Switch and Switch Lite releases - Re-implement WiHDMI for the new systems, previously seen for the Wii U. Allows for a Wii U mode for select games and better emulating DS/3DS releases

It's like a regular joycon "grip" (which lets you turn 2 joycons into one controller), only this one has a USB-C hole on it. This was the go-to way to charge joycons if you didn't want them attached on the system. You can distinguish the different from normal grip and the charge grip from color and opacity/transpacenry. The non-charging grip (which comes with system) is matte black, whilst the charger grip accessory is lighter tone of black and is transparrent.
I have a feeling they went with LCD technology so they could get a cheaper, high-refresh 1080p panel in the device. OLED High-Refresh is still more expensive at this moment and when you manufacture them at scale any savings matters. I have a feeling the Switch 2 screen will be 120Hz. Especially if they're going to be taking advantage of DLSS.
your editing is so smooth and you do such a good job at explaining in simple terms more technical stuff. amazing job, my biggest hope for the switch 2 is just those 12 gb of ram. feel like they're gonna be key to run well a lot of the AAA games the switch has been missing out on for the last 4-5 years
I prefer to download all my games digitally and have hundreds of games available in a 1TB card. Especially after my then 4yr old lost several of my game carts posting them into the PCMIA slot on my tv thinking that’s where they went.
The magnetic joycons are such a terrible idea, there is no way that magnets this small would be able to hold weight of entier console, especially on car on train rides where there is rough terrain and a lot of bumps. The console would just go flying and the joycons would be left in your hands
Might I just appreciate the fact that you 3d modelled a Switch 2 concept in Blender, and made product like animations to visualize everything? Thats insane effort.
0:25 From what I've seen of the leaks, nobody is claiming the chip will be as powerful as the PS4 Pro. People said that it could be on par with the PS4 Pro if it uses DLSS. The thing that was confirmed during the hack was the existence of the chip, nothing of the specs though.
The rail system is already a very solid and practical solution, so no need to complicate things with magnets and such. I mean, why mess with perfection? And we need to stress on the fact that backward compatibility for games is a MUST and they better stick to that. Nintendo should offer the Switch 2 in two options: *Switch 2:* Comes with the classic Joy-Cons design with better buttons/triggers/sticks, aimed at casual users that will dock it to a TV and play with friends or family. Comes with a smaller standard LCD panel. *Switch 2 Pro:* Comes with Joy-Con Pro with ergonomic grips, better buttons/triggers/sticks and also programmable buttons on the back to enhance the gaming experience for solo players. Comes with a bigger OLED display. Both options come with the same CPU+GPU. The only differences would be Joy-Cons which you could buy separately and interchange as you please, and the second difference being display types.
I'm skeptical about the electromagnet joycons. For those of us that have death grips, or the many of us that suddenly death grip the switch when things are getting sketchy in a game...there's no way they would just hold on well. But at the same time, it would suck if they went back to rails. So, I dunno.
I've seen some people make insane claims about the hardware. Some people _genuinely_ believe it'll run games at 4K60 and have ray tracing, which is stupid for what will be a cheap-ish handheld. The Steam Deck should give us a good idea of what to expect.
It could be true on a handful of little games. Capabilities doesn't mean that every game will have them all at once. DLSS 3 is a powerful tool and while it's not magic it could compensate for technical shortcomings
All the rumors around magnetic joycon that I’ve seen have just said magnetic, not electromagnetic. There are a lot of clasps out there that use magnets to pull things together, but then it trips some kind of mechanical clasp that holds things in place stronger than a magnet. Fidlock is a big brand that makes this kind of stuff. Just imagine if you had a car seat belt buckle with a magnet in it. The magnet could draw in the tab, but then a spring clicks and it is locked in.
Yo, this video is legit good! All the information compiled, new ideas, beautiful visuals, actually funny skits and great edit and pacing. Keep up the great work mate
I'm just praying they don't make it too much bigger. I think the biggest charm of the switch is its size, so making it the size of something like a steamdeck completely ruins what they have going already in my opinion.
What about this!? Why not implement the wii motion plus and pointer controls back into the new joycons? They could then include 4 sleek wireless ir sensors for the TV. This would change and upgrade everything! They could then totally bring back lightgun games, even rival things like "gun for IR", especially with accessories.. it could then be the ultimate nintendo console, able to actaully play all the Wii games! Can then have third party grips/light gun molds/etc... Get those old people moving again with some Wii Bowling! We somehow lost this Nintendo magic, and for no apparent reason imo! Why is all of that so subpar on the switch? Is it jus the lack of sensors? Just think how cool the pointer stuff could be, if done better/faster and in full 4K action! It would be sick!! Example: That House of the Dead Remake could have been sooo much better with the Wiis controls.
I was a college student when the Streetpass on the 3DS worked and it was SO MUCH FUN! I'd love to see it make a return! Something like that would definitely make me take the console everywhere with me.
3:46 This is exactly why I got fed up with Switch 2 news and stopped watching any content related to that for months, especially because of one RUclipsr, even his community ended up turning against him. Anyhow, I’m glad RUclips recommended me your video, looks like you actually give a crap about it, so far the video is excellent !
just improve the quality of the build, and screen/graphics and BATTERY but dont make screens bigger than OG switch cuz thats not even 'handheld if u have a case as most would - even my OG is a lot to lug in a reg nintendo protective cse in port mode soooooo
I kinda need one of these. I'm old, haven't had a gaming console since xbox one. been looking at getting a Switch since I don't wanna get to crazy with games; I want those fun, cute, and easy rolling Nintendo games (but with the option to get down with some more crazy games).... plus I just really love Mario Kart. These new graphics sound amazing. Maybe I'll grab a used Switch light to hold me over until the Switch 2 comes out.
Add hall effect sticks and analogue triggers and the new joycons will literally be perfect. (I don't actually think it'll happen sadly, because strong magnet + magnet sensor doesn't work very easily together)
i would legit love streetpass to come back! also would be nice to have something similar to your LED lights because those were always really useful on the other consoles nintendo made
The switch was my favorite console of all time and if they make basically the same with some improvements in hardware I'm all for it. I just worry about backwards compatibility

Your videos never disappoint. They’re really fun to watch and the work put into them is appreciated.
I was a college student when the Streetpass on the 3DS worked and it was SO MUCH FUN! I'd love to see it make a return! Something like that would definitely make me take the console everywhere with me.
Good video, don't delete it.
Why would he delete it
It would be so cool if they brought back streetpass. Can't tell you how exciting it was to carry my 3ds around Japan back in the day
This is the perfect switch 2, my only concern is nintendo isn't trying to hire you yet.
when he said the word streetpass i busted
I miss street pass.
I really want the streetpass to come back so I can be happy!

This is exactly why I got fed up with Switch 2 news and stopped watching any content related to that for months, especially because of one RUclipsr, even his community ended up turning against him.
Ehat crazy is that a lot of the info stated in this video supports the recent switch 2 leak
Been having rumors for the last 14 years
really?
I kinda need one of these. I'm old, haven't had a gaming console since xbox one. been looking at getting a Switch since I don't wanna get to crazy with games; I want those fun, cute, and easy rolling Nintendo games (but with the option to get down with some more crazy games).... plus I just really love Mario Kart. These new graphics sound amazing. Maybe I'll grab a used Switch light to hold me over until the Switch 2 comes out.
I just hope the new joycons are more ergonomic. I'm tired of getting carpal tunnel every time I play handheld for an hour.
that cross pad dpad idea is genius
Dpad with independent buttons are really precise and the best way to play 2d games like celeste or megaman
fyi its fiscal year so thats till april next year
I KNEW ONCE YOU SHOWED A BLINKING GREEN LIGHT YOU WERE GONNA BRING BACK STREETPASS, Absolutely liking the video now
Add hall effect sticks and analogue triggers and the new joycons will literally be perfect. (I don't actually think it'll happen sadly, because strong magnet + magnet sensor doesn't work very easily together)
8:33 what’s the theme that’s playing here?
Pretty sure it's from tears of the kingdom, somewhere in the final boss rush
i would legit love streetpass to come back! also would be nice to have something similar to your LED lights because those were always really useful on the other consoles nintendo made
The switch was my favorite console of all time and if they make basically the same with some improvements in hardware I'm all for it. I just worry about backwards compatibility
9:13 UHHHH How about StreetPass 2??? The only thing that would put those LED lights to a real use!
Nevermind, you mentioned it but it is worth the comment
