Lavendere voice over is so perfect on Yancy, I thought it's official at first but it's not. If she can fully voice over Yancy, it will be perfect. She's sound so sweet and I don't know why, I just want to hear more of it. I even play the game because of this video, even though it feel empty without her voice in it.
It was a great voice acting performance for it to have such an emotional impact. Remember there's plenty of other similar content out there, too. You don't have to depend on this one for fulfilment.

I'd like to point out how nice music during the ferris wheel cutscene is. It's calm, relaxing and nostalgic. Despite knowing about that sidequest and other interactions that you can experience at that location (the music is also present in the first Black and White games), until now I've never paid too much attention to it. But it's a really great and underrated tune!

I played my copy as Rosa, and I thought this sidequest was cute. What little of it I played anyway. I didn’t realize that there were specific tiles you had to stand on to call Curtis. By the time I found it out, I decided it was too tedious to be worth my time. I’m glad you made a video about it so I could see the whole story!
I didn’t realize that and by the time I probably noticed I don’t think I cared enough to do it. I was more interested in the trade aspect of it anyway since that’s what the whole feature was
The trading is pretty cute too. She doesn't ask for any specific Pokémon for the trade. And then on TV you can see Nancy talk about a Pokémon she cherishes and it's a Pokémon you traded to her. I hope she enjoyed all the Patrat I've given her lol.

That was a great video, I really enjoyed watching it. I never really noticed the extend of this side quest as a child. You should do more videos like this (if you want to) because it’s really enjoying to watch you.
It's the little, spontaneous quests like this that made the Black & White games my absolute favourite. It also planted the idea in my head that maybe the ideal relationship is a career-minded woman, and a man who wanders around the country unemployed, yet weirdly successful.

I love that this little side quest is getting more attention, it's a very organic inclusion of romance (something oddly absent in the series) in Pokémon without being overt.
The closest to a subtle but well structured romance I can think off would also be in gen 5 with Lenora/Aloe and Vero; They're a plant pun the english misses, a married couple and you might have noticed they showed their love in how they refer the other, but nothing too explicit. The prize still goes to Kukui and Burnet, but that's the anime, not in-game.

No, actually. Forgot their names, but in Pokemon X/Y Shauna comments "I've never watch fireworks alone with a boy before" if you're the male. If you're playing the female, she comments "I hope we get to become great friends" (Ouch, friendzoned). Of course Lilly is implied to have feelings for the PC in SM/USUM but there's no "dating". Klara/Avery also show feelings for the PC, but it's more respect compared to anything romantic. Finally, there's Carmine, who might've tried to confess her love, but was stopped by a phone call. I'm sure there's some in the side games, like Colosseum and Conquest, but it's been ages since I played those games so don't 100% remember any romantic feelings between anyone.
If i remember correctly in ORAS its implied that may/brendan have feelings for the player especially in the delta episode with your dad noticing and giving you tickets for a “date” even laughing.
I'm sad that Yancy and Curtis never tell you about their careers. I know they just want a normal relationship free from the idol worship, but it feels kind of sad that you can't tell them you care more about who they are than the persona they put on.
Should have had them get more comfortable with telling you once you've made it into the hall of fame. Would make sense for them to figure you wouldn't be starstruck/fall into idol worship after you'd beaten the champion and saved the region from team plasma

Everyone has already made the easy jokes so I'm just gonna say that I agree with what you said here. I honestly love this side quest because of it's depth, and it actually feels like you're getting to know someone and watch as they develop. It's something I miss from the newer games which have much more basic side quests. That and Yancy is a cutie patootie
I'm so glad to see this video. I absolutely fell in love with this when I was played the game back god, what, 12 years ago? Jesus. It was such a cute side quest. It's genuinely one of the most heartwarming storylines in the entire franchise. I got genuine feels for it when I was playing it. I wanted there to be something in the ending of the game that hinted towards it, but being a Pokemon game I knew it wouldn't. It was right on the cusp though.
So here’s my head canon both Manga and game. Manga: A few years past, the two meet again and patch things up. As time goes on, they get back together and live happily ever after. Game: After becoming the champion and traded Pokémon with her, the two are now officially date. Taking things to the next level, the protagonists decides to staying with her on her travels so she doesn’t give up on her career as an idol. Plus it’s also a way for him to challenge other Pokémon leagues. They then live happily ever after. The End.
I've played the game five times before, but i had no damn idea about this. I can confidently say that this is the best reason I can relive this game again, and that's because of Yancy. You had me convinced there was voice acting in this game. But none the less, it is a nice little side quest to know about and a bit wholesome as well. I never played a Pokémon game so this was interesting to hear about or learn
With every passing month, I see more and more Pokemon RUclipsrs talking about Yancy. I loved to hear someone voice her all these years later. I'm hoping that she can appear in Pokemon Masters at some point before the game shuts down. Truly amazed, she never appeared in the anime or in Pokemon cards. The one thing that would make me sad is if we ever get a Pokemon Legends Unova they might just make Yancy's ancestor like the male player character, but they won't do anything with it. Still loved every aspect of the video.
Cute scenario that came to me while listening along to this: When Yancy/Curtis accidentally answers the Player’s Xtransceiver’s call in their work outfit, hangs up on them, changes into their regular clothes, and quickly calls them back to try and play it off the MC (maybe) misunderstands that they work WITH the idol Nancy/Christoph and think they’re in their production team or something despite their young age. Yancy/Curtis don’t really have the heart to correct the MC so they go along with it and the MC ends up giving them the nickname “Bigshot” because of how they’re (supposedly) working with the idol
I had the idea that Nancy would have to go interview the new champion and of course it's Nate. Both of their secrets revealed. Nate is being coy about it (a lot like his personality in pokemon masters) but nancy is absolutely losing it hahaha
I love the little things that they didn’t need to do in BW2, this prolly being my favorite with how much effort was put into a completely optional side quest.

I love that this little side quest is getting more attention, it's a very organic inclusion of romance (something oddly absent in the series) in Pokémon without being overt.
The closest to a subtle but well structured romance I can think off would also be in gen 5 with Lenora/Aloe and Vero; They're a plant pun the english misses, a married couple and you might have noticed they showed their love in how they refer the other, but nothing too explicit.
The prize still goes to Kukui and Burnet, but that's the anime, not in-game.
The characters are usually around 10 years old, so i dont think it's odd for it to be left out

No, actually. Forgot their names, but in Pokemon X/Y Shauna comments "I've never watch fireworks alone with a boy before" if you're the male. If you're playing the female, she comments "I hope we get to become great friends" (Ouch, friendzoned). Of course Lilly is implied to have feelings for the PC in SM/USUM but there's no "dating". Klara/Avery also show feelings for the PC, but it's more respect compared to anything romantic. Finally, there's Carmine, who might've tried to confess her love, but was stopped by a phone call. I'm sure there's some in the side games, like Colosseum and Conquest, but it's been ages since I played those games so don't 100% remember any romantic feelings between anyone.
If i remember correctly in ORAS its implied that may/brendan have feelings for the player especially in the delta episode with your dad noticing and giving you tickets for a “date” even laughing.

I misread the title as "the time you could date a pokemon" and I was waiting for the twist.
I'm sad that Yancy and Curtis never tell you about their careers. I know they just want a normal relationship free from the idol worship, but it feels kind of sad that you can't tell them you care more about who they are than the persona they put on.
Should have had them get more comfortable with telling you once you've made it into the hall of fame.
Would make sense for them to figure you wouldn't be starstruck/fall into idol worship after you'd beaten the champion and saved the region from team plasma

I honestly love this side quest because of it's depth, and it actually feels like you're getting to know someone and watch as they develop. It's something I miss from the newer games which have much more basic side quests. That and Yancy is a cutie patootie

I honestly love this side quest, it’s a different side from Pokemon and I think it’s really sweet! I would love more side storylines like this
I'm so glad to see this video. I absolutely fell in love with this when I was played the game back god, what, 12 years ago? Jesus. It was such a cute side quest. It's genuinely one of the most heartwarming storylines in the entire franchise. I got genuine feels for it when I was playing it. I wanted there to be something in the ending of the game that hinted towards it, but being a Pokemon game I knew it wouldn't. It was right on the cusp though.
What I learned about rizzing ladies:
Just say "..." for everything.
Imagine bringing your digital girl friend’s Pokémon all the way to current Pokémon game as a souvenir

So here’s my head canon both Manga and game.
Manga: A few years past, the two meet again and patch things up. As time goes on, they get back together and live happily ever after.
Game: After becoming the champion and traded Pokémon with her, the two are now officially date. Taking things to the next level, the protagonists decides to staying with her on her travels so she doesn’t give up on her career as an idol. Plus it’s also a way for him to challenge other Pokémon leagues. They then live happily ever after.

With every passing month, I see more and more Pokemon RUclipsrs talking about Yancy. I loved to hear someone voice her all these years later. I'm hoping that she can appear in Pokemon Masters at some point before the game shuts down. Truly amazed, she never appeared in the anime or in Pokemon cards. The one thing that would make me sad is if we ever get a Pokemon Legends Unova they might just make Yancy's ancestor like the male player character, but they won't do anything with it. Still loved every aspect of the video.

Cute scenario that came to me while listening along to this: When Yancy/Curtis accidentally answers the Player’s Xtransceiver’s call in their work outfit, hangs up on them, changes into their regular clothes, and quickly calls them back to try and play it off the MC (maybe) misunderstands that they work WITH the idol Nancy/Christoph and think they’re in their production team or something despite their young age. Yancy/Curtis don’t really have the heart to correct the MC so they go along with it and the MC ends up giving them the nickname “Bigshot” because of how they’re (supposedly) working with the idol
