Once I get the time to play more games, read more books, and watch more movies, I'll likely hit the cap of 100 unique Miis based on those new experiences. My 3DS SD Card got corrupted along with all my games and save data, but the Miis stayed because they were part of the 3DS, and being honest: With how much time I put into making and editing it, if I had one thing to choose to salvage, my Mii collection would probably have been it.
I absolutely loved the idea of being able to load my miis from my wii console onto my wii remote and share them with friends on their wii consoles. The fact that I didn't have any friends with wii consoles didn't stop me from being enthusiastic. 😊
When I initially saw the Miis I was quite disappointed thinking they were too limited, but spend anytime with the Mii maker you will quickly find out that they have so much character and the options that are there are perfect for capturing most peoples appearances in a Mii form.

I’m still sad/angry that the only way miis make appearances on the Nintendo switch is cameos where heads are replaced in games like switch sports and in Mario kart 8 which lowkey doesn’t count bc it’s from the Wii U era. I want the next switch to have a dedicated mii channel like the Wii and I want miis to come back full force. The new avatars in switch sports are cool but the miis will always be 🔛🔝
I think a perfect way to do this would be either a remaster of Wii sports on switch (I want it so badly), a new Wii sports-esque game as a launch title on the next console that only uses miis, or a sequel to miitopia or Tomodachi life Nintendo is 100% missing out on capitalizing on this bc the miis are so iconic and basically synonymous with their brand. Leaving them behind would be a MASSIVE mistake
I really hope Nintendo does more with Miis with the Switch 2, I like them, especially when you could use them in stuff like Wii Party and Wii Sports. Probably my favorite useage of them. It was so fun, like you said, having friends and family over, and they make themselves, and you just see their Mii be background characters, lol.
Watching this video makes me so nostalgic as someone who grew up in the wii era, its sad how the consoles starting to cost a fair bit of money to play secondhand nowadays. I still have all the classic games and i hope i can revisit them all one day
Since the next console will probably take a while, I think the big N should finally cave in and just give us a tomodachi on switch. Could be a sequel, a remaster like miitopia, just something. Shame Amiibo probably will be just dust collectors though, skylanders but with amiibo could have sold both the game and amiibo solidly.
the wii u and wii had that same feeling that the internet had when it was first introduced. a portal to another world where you can chat to anyone and look at whatever you wanted. like it just felt like magic when i was younger seeing real people's miis from around the world, and they all had something to say
Man, I wish I had Miitopia. I’ve made a lot of Miis, 60+ unique ones, most of them fictional and some as joke characters, but besides viewing their lives on Tomodachi Life, a great game by the way, I don’t have any action to put them in. The idea of Miitopia was always interesting to me, a world where I can choose the characters and have them set out on an adventure, but sadly, Nintendo shut down its shop on the 3DS and I still don’t have a Switch.

it’s so sad that the Miis are disappearing from Nintendo’s brand. I love those quirky little rubber looking tiny people with my whole being. Growing up in the era of the Wii was the best with the creation of Mii channel. I could spend hours as a kid creating people i knew or characters from tv shows I watched. To so many people the Miis were and will continue to be the face of Nintendo avatars
I had an old friend who worked on the newer Microsoft avatars and it was almost instant, upon release the whole team who made the assets and rigged the bodies were displaced into other parts of Microsoft. It was such a flop.
I bought a 3DS specifically for Tomodachi Life. My Miitopia and Tomodachi Life are all full of silly Miis XD And my Minecraft server is a Wuhu Island map! I love it so much!
I hope that in the future Mii will be relevant characters in Nintendo games and will be included in Super Mario games, as protagonists or even improve the Mii creator to make them more customizable and variable (hair, eyebrows, body size, hight, mouths, eyes, nose, etc.) in many aspects.

I remember getting permanently banned from Miiverse not for posting inappropriate content, but for constantly asking for people to add me into their friend list as an underage user. Today, I'm pretty ashamed of that behavior and understand the intended reasons for the ban but still laughs when thinking about getting banned for asking to people to be their friends. For those who didn't know, you had to be over 13 to be able to send a friend request to a stranger, but could bypass the rule if you had some of his code so that young schoolmates/siblings could be friends)
To clarify about the Mii CPU Cheat in Switch Sports: the Mii Makers between the 3DS/Wii U are different from the one on Switch. Customizability options are slight different, and not everything aligns where it once did on the older Mii Maker, mostly being position and alignment based, like angling your eyes or raising your eyebrows. It looks like that for Switch Sports, they decided to do a bit more varied and newer feeling versions of the classic named miis, that would also fit right alongside the mii-ified sportsmates
3:51 omg this is such a little kid thought i immediately related to it. i remember having thoughts of a similar vibe as that -- i used to think that in the alaskan bull worm episode of spongebob when he and sandy are running away from it and the environment becomes 3d that if i turned on my spongebob plug-n-play controller at that time then i could control what was happening. was very disappointed that this wasn't the case. ... idk why i felt the need to share but thank u for sharing for real, that touched me on a deep level i wasn't expecting it to lol

Give *Mii* mercy, give *Mii* true freedom, _give _*_Mii_*_ everything I want!_
i will make an army of opal miis to fuel the miivolution!
If they don't have Miis on Nintendo's next console, I will flip a whole table
It may be possible they could get rebranded.
The new avatars in switch sports are cool but the miis will always be 🔛🔝
I think a perfect way to do this would be either a remaster of Wii sports on switch (I want it so badly), a new Wii sports-esque game as a launch title on the next console that only uses miis, or a sequel to miitopia or Tomodachi life
Nintendo is 100% missing out on capitalizing on this bc the miis are so iconic and basically synonymous with their brand. Leaving them behind would be a MASSIVE mistake
I looked exactly like the default Mii as a kid so I never changed it lol
you are the default mii
@@FunkyFurret I sure am
3:13 that looks so cursed 💀💀💀
At least there is a channel called Mii Daily, which keeps the mii spirit alive.
I remember making Mii’s of my entire family and friends lol
I really hope Nintendo does more with Miis with the Switch 2, I like them, especially when you could use them in stuff like Wii Party and Wii Sports. Probably my favorite useage of them. It was so fun, like you said, having friends and family over, and they make themselves, and you just see their Mii be background characters, lol.
I loved the Mii Parade channel. I got over 100 great & creative Mii's from the contests, My family loved seeing all of the Mii's in our games.
This makes me sad for simpler times. I miss playing my wii with friends/family as a kid.
Ring Fit uses realistic models to encourage the right muscles to use for conducting them. Using Miis would take away from that, I imagine.
Watching this video makes me so nostalgic as someone who grew up in the wii era, its sad how the consoles starting to cost a fair bit of money to play secondhand nowadays. I still have all the classic games and i hope i can revisit them all one day
I'd like to think Miitopia is about purgatory. Every Mii has died and went into the afterlife.
this video just made me mad that i didn't buy a wii u...
Odds are it will release in 2025. The Switch is already massively old. Nintendo needs a hardware refresh.
such a great creator
the wii u and wii had that same feeling that the internet had when it was first introduced. a portal to another world where you can chat to anyone and look at whatever you wanted. like it just felt like magic when i was younger seeing real people's miis from around the world, and they all had something to say
I hope that when they move on to the type of console (Wii U-Switch) they will make the Miis the big thing again they were!
I was playing Miitopia while watching this video!
I definitely recommend it! What about getting a physical copy?
@@EndoRUclips My 3DS hasn’t accepted a cartridge in a year now and I still haven’t found out why. If I could fix my console a physical copy would be amazing, but for now I’ve planned to save for a Switch (or wait for the next console). It seems many cool games I want have come to the Switch anyway 👍
17:44 this sequence is synced to the music
Miitomo was my life for two months and then I never thought about it again
"Somehow, Miis returned" 24:53
There's a rise but there's no fall completely
I love the Miis
and I get really excited when I see them in any game
Plural of amiibo is amiibo.
And even then they're likely still going to create more.
The moment i noticed New Super Luigi U community for the Miiverse segment, I felt a sudden fear. Those who know, know.
An absolute core memory is when I was playing Wii party board game island with a friend and our friend who had passed away a few years back had her mii pop. In the zombie mini game. As a zombie. We were equal parts horrified, shocked and laughing our asses off. 😭😭😭
I missed out on Miiverse shenanigans as a kid. Instead me and my friends used and abused Swap Note.
It took us a really long time to get to that fall part of the video. Hey Nintendo, there still time to save them!
i remember that on the wii u me and my brother would make stupid faces and watch them get turned into miis
good times
I will literally sell a kidney to live on Wuhu Island as a Mii
SAME OMG, like an island which combines Wuhu, Tomodachi Life islands and Miitopia all in one, with abilities to try out Mii cuisine 🩵
Miitopia was my favourite game ever when i was younger. It's sad that i know a sequel will never happen
I will admit that I have spent way too much time creating miis and appreciating the miis that others have made
0:04 BEEFBOSS W
I worry a lot that Miis will be phased out within the next couple of console generations.
Holy Bowser's Castle, that "AKB48+Me" game looks like a gem, I need to check that out now oml
I unironically miss Miitomo. I was only friends with a few people on there, but I loved seeing their goofy answers to the prompts. Now I'll never know who they were, which is fine, but I wish I could at least still see them on Miitomo. I also really liked the photo maker lol
As a Wii U lover it's actually heartbreaking seeing the default miis in the plaza these days
it’s so sad that the Miis are disappearing from Nintendo’s brand.
I hope there will be a new version with more detailed Miis in the future
It breaks my heart.
im glad someone finally agrees that the xbox avatars for 360 while very much inspired by the miis have their own charm with clothing and the emotes and are MILES better than the fugly ones for xbox one ugh...
This whole StreetPass stuff really didn't work for me as I live in the countryside and if I went to the city, why would I take my Nintendo with me... xD i only once got a Streetpass Mii as I met up with someone who too had a 3DS... xD
Hopefully Nintendo will utilize Miis more for their next console.
Nintendo land is my childhood, the HOURS spent on it was so fun, i loved it
Hambiirger, Beef boss, burg, yeah, burger mii has lots of names.
TOO many names.
I remember doing a double take when I recognized miis I knew in games like mariokart. That was funny lol.
i now understand where plaza posts came from in the splatoon series...
Nintendo Land was so good man
Can we pay homage to deca sports. It was like a discount Wii sports but it was still fun as hell
best to bring back miis for nintendo.
He almost only used soundtracks from Miitopia.
3:51 omg this is such a little kid thought i immediately related to it. i remember having thoughts of a similar vibe as that --
i used to think that in the alaskan bull worm episode of spongebob when he and sandy are running away from it and the environment becomes 3d that if i turned on my spongebob plug-n-play controller at that time then i could control what was happening. was very disappointed that this wasn't the case.
... idk why i felt the need to share but thank u for sharing for real, that touched me on a deep level i wasn't expecting it to lol
Weird, I never thought much of the Miis as any sort of icon or anything, they were just kind of there...
I really do hope they'll add Miis back into more stuff, though I know that nintendo hasn't forgotten them, hell for the mario kart ride at universal they use Miis for the ride tutorial videos, also PLEASE GIVE US ANOTHER TOMODACHI PLEAAAAASSSEEE
The mii parade is where i punished my miis snd forced them to run
Cool!
