I was a fentanyl patch user for 6 months straight 50 micrograms a day every day I was a functioning addict for 2 years prior to the fentanyl I have NEVER had precipitated withdrawal from fentanyl then Suboxone. I do not think it's fentanyl causing it like people think. I've heard many people say I waited 4 days and I was sick as hell once I took a Suboxone. Half life fentanyl is rapid acting so short half life = gets out of system quickly. There has to be something else doing this. In the door everyone thinks is fentanyl....maybe the synthetics the chemicals u can buy from China online like xXylazine

If you tapered methadone to 5ml.. Why would you then go on 8mg of Buprenorphine!!!??? Maybe one dose of 4mg split into doses across a couple of days then stop completely. But to taper so low on methadone to only replace it with daily 8 or even 4mg of Buprenorphine just seems like absolute madness to me…
Unless you want to have another ruthless addiction to buprenorphine of course.. Then stay on it by all means.

Im due to start a suboxone detox soon but my key worker thinks im taking 30 a day when really its 60 every other day. On week ends i dont have anything on monday or sunday and its been that way for 6 month to. Here in the uk you have to go 3 days without anything and then they start you on subs, what do you think i should do, I intentionally took both bottles so i would have to go without on the other days. Will my body have started withdrawing enough, i feel really bad some days already, but nothing like pw.

I was doctor prescribed and had no help tapering ( she said my dose was too low to need to taper and that I couldn’t be experiencing these symptoms from it) I felt isolated and dismissed. Dr. Philip -
I had been on suboxone for several years. Miracle drug for me.
I broke my ankle and leg several months ago (approx 2 and 1/2 months) - after surgery, my pain was unbearable. Got in touch with the wrong people, and got back into the wrong habits. I am determined to overcome this obstacle and resume regular life. Can you please recommend an at home “tapering-upwards plan” for suboxone (I have plenty on hand, I’m terrified to start them)?
I would truly be grateful for any information. I am terrified of precip withdrawal - it’s not a joke….
Continue use while inducting suboxone at a low dose, raising the MG every day, and on a certain day completely abstaining from fent?
Again, any information would truly be appreciated.
    Thank you, so much.

    • @ltrizzle12
      @ltrizzle12 3 года назад +1

Nothing works as well as IV administration. Nothing.

    • @bredenis5
      @bredenis5 3 года назад

@@ltrizzle12 What do you mean by “works”? Do you mean bioavailability? Obviously IV administration will enter any compound into systemic circulation more quickly than oral, but having a higher bioavailability does not mean that it works better. You can saturate the serum with supraphysiologic levels of vitamins orally and the rate of appearance in the serum does not change its pharmacodynamic effects. And you could actually argue that IV vitamins, particularly the B vitamins may be less efficacious since they have to be coenzymated to be pharmacologically active. And that happens primarily in the liver, which is missed, at least on the first pass, with IV administration.

They gave me a 4mg at 5:45 and I felt fine, my symptoms was subsiding and then they gave me another 4 mg at 6:15 and by time I took my script in and got home, I'm in the worst withdrawal of my life and I quit methadone and that wasn't anywhere near as bad as I feel now. Questions are, how long until the presip withdrawal is done, or should I take more Suboxone, my head feels detached from my body and luckily my husband is a saint and is just trying to keep positive thoughts in my head. Also, if this put me in full blown withdrawal, will it go away sooner? Like if I was doing this cold turkey, it would take me two days to get this bad, did I skip over a couple days?

@@bigptm1364 thank you very much. I’ve been worried about the PW. My Doc told me that we’re gonna use the Burnese method. I’m on 100 mg of methadone right now. The way it works is for two weeks there gonna start me off at the lowest possible sub dose. Then gradually move it up. I’m still gonna be on methadone. He says that once the sub basically takes over the receptor. Then once I get up to like 12 mg of sub, they take me off methadone altogether. He said that he would prescribe me other stuff to help with the “uncomfortableness”. He didn’t tell me anything about the PW. Through research I found out about that. The weird thing is that lately like my kastv4 appointments, he’s desperately wanting me to go on subs. I even told him that the reason I haven’t made the switch is because I feel as if I’m being sold something. He became very quiet when I said that.

@@bigptm1364 can I ask why you changed from methadone to subs. I’ve been on methadone for about 6-7 yrs. long freaking time. The dude effects on me are very hard. Sweating, weight gain, swelling are the most. My test level went down so I take testosterone injections to level the rate. Anyway that’s the reason I wanna switch. I sweat literally like I came out of the shower. At work (hotel front desk) people would ask me if I’m ok. The management thought I would take blow. Imagine dead of winter and I’m sweating as if I ran a marathon. I gained weight so fast even my doctor was shocked. I was 180-200 before started now I’m 260. My hands look like the Michelin man due to the swelling. It’s really crazy man. Yes it’s better than being in withdrawal running from place to place everyday worried how am I gonna buy oxy or dilo or whatever but still.

So so soooooooooooo grateful I found your vid..
Have been on methadone daily for decades..
My drug worker prescribed 4x2mg Buprenorphine , and I cut them up with a scalpel on a mirror. Literally taking 0.5 mg... waiting....and after repeating these tiny doses I could feel like ''Vibrating'' in my legs and strange pains that were shooting, and my guts were rumbling and being feelable and sharp.
I waited 38hrs since last methadone.
Edit: Worker phoned to see how I was getting on, and I mentioned the pill cutting. She was not pleased.
She spoke to her supervisor as she felt she had prescribed too much as I was cutting them.
Luckily it was ok, maybe supervisor had heard of these ''Micro Doses''.
I do think had I taken 2mgs all at once it could have felt uncomfy..Especially as it accumulated. It's a strange sensation. On day 2 of buprenorphine now, and still getting sharp leg twangs.
Head definitely ''Clearer''...Laugh and cry easily, a sure sign of early WD.
Thanks for informing me of micro~dosing.

Never make the mistake of telling these people the truth about things like this.

I have a friend on methadone & they want to get off they have subs to help I'm trying to find the best info to help her / so did you wait as long as you could then take a small piece then kept going up? I keep getting a little confused on how it should be done the right way

@@MrAkaprimetime Well...2 yrs later, I'm still on subs!
Precipitated withdrawal is what you need to avoid at all costs.
Subutex {and worse, Suboxone} literally kicks off methadone from the opioid receptors in the brain and elsewhere, so you can be put into a very horrible withdrawal state that nothing can put right.
Surely your friend was given advise as to how to proceed?
I remember going about 48 hrs with no methadone at all, and then taking fractions of a 2mg tablet at a time..
It depends on how much methadone she is taking [and any use on top} - It would be insane for me to advise on here, I am not medically trained-
It did take about two weeks to get 'settled' on subutex, I felt pretty horrible with headaches and a hideous dysphoria -but after 2 weeks, it settled.
Your friend ideally needs advice from the person that prescribed her these- If she goes into precipitated withdrawal, she will not be thanking anyone!
Best of luck!.. It's not fun doing the transfer- but is doable.

Do not get the suboxone shot in your belly that lasts for 30 days per injection. I did this for over a year before switching back to the strips, its painful as hell most of the time you get the injection, plus after i switched back to the strips i noticed the lumps it makes in your belly doesn't go away and dissolve during the month like they say it does.it took just over 5 years for all the injection lumps in my belly to go away, plus i had a couple nurses that im sure Didn't know what they were doing at the time cause me the most pain ever from the injection that caused me sever pain and even bigger lumps in my gut that took even longer to go away.

Yup but Bupe is what makes you go into the PW’s either way ppl always mistaken that part they think they can take the Bupe alone without Naloxone without waiting as long and that it’ll work the problem is that isn’t true . No matter what you’re gunna have to wait because Bupe is what will put u into PWs if taken to early .
