I just botched a 175 mg daily methadone dose transfer to subs, cold turkey. Waited 79 hours and did the first sub. OMG. I'm on the 8th day and starting to feel normal. I even got to the point I was throwing up from too much subs, but still half sick. To top it off, I was offered the job of a lifetime and HAD to interview and start. Thank God I got my legs back the day before I started. After this past week, I'm certain I could make it through Seal training and hell week. No problem, lol.

You got some balls damn. I am on methadone 80ml and on friday my clinic is gonna transfer me to suboxone and eventually to buvidal. Theyre gonna start it by giving me 0.2mg subo and 80mh methadone on the 1st day. Second day 0.4mg subox and 80mg methadone. They gonna take the suboxone up little by little like that daily until its 12mg and then stop giving me methadone. Idk how its gonna be but am scared shitless already. Been almost 10yrs on methadone.

I know that I always make sure to attempt to pinpoint as much as possible the patient's last time of use as a starting point before giving Suboxone. I agree that microdosing is effective. It's unfortunate that many patients are neglecting this therapy because they were previously started incorrectly or tapered incorrectly, which led them through a terrible withdrawal. I'm an addiction RN (CARN) and just found this video. Nice explanation.

I couldnt handle it cause i wasnt mentally ready. Then the next time i went 20 hours and fell asleep somehow. It was a total of 25 hours then i said ok im gonna try a little piece. So i did! Within 30 minutes my withdrawal got better! So i felt like hell yes i can do this. Everyone is different. It also depends how much you were on and how frequently you took it. I am a small timer! I only did about 1 gram every other day. I can tell u its a learning curve. You really have to go as long as u possibly can before you take suboxone or it will make it so bad for you! Do as much research as u can and ask questions! Noone has ever treated me like a drug addict. Just the opposite. I was cheered on by everyone. Goodluck to you my friend! You are worth it! That kind of withdraw sucks!!! I ran out of methadone one time and I had two days before going back to the clinic so being the genius I was decided to take half of strip of subutex. How smart was I? I knew what could happen but through all my years of getting high I always beat the system till this time. I started off feeling great. Better than when I took methadone. Then my feet started freezing, then my whole body started freezing, then I was beyond sick. Total withdraw, but it felt worse than regular withdrawal. The next morning I got some pills and I felt better but I had to take 20 10s. Finally I got to go back to the methadone clinic a day later. I couldn't get there fast enough. Anyway Jesus got me through it but thought me a good lesson. I won't ever do that again. Just take your methadone like you suppose to take it.

I came back to say I did the Bernese method for 8 days then hopped off for 24 hours no medicine only 1 mg of subutex. Then I took like 4mg and I was in light precipitated withdrawal. It’s nothing like true fully on precipitated withdrawal. Yes it’s been another 7 days and Iv slept really none at all but i made it and I’m only taking subutex. It’s not easy of course but it’s possible. I’m starting to feel better slowly and feel more like myself again. You can do this. Bernese method is the only way to get off of fent on your own terms. The longer you do the method the better chances you have. Best of luck guys you all can do this. I needed someone to tell me they did it before I started. And that’s why I came back. THIS SAVED ME.

My daughter used the Bernese method successfully back in 2020 after several failed attempts at suboxone induction. I did some research and found an article in a medical journal about the increase of fent in the supply, and that it sits in the fat stores. Suboxone releases it and causes precipitated withdrawal. Over on the East Coast most treatment centers won’t let you try micro-induction unless you sign a waiver and score higher than 15 on your COWS score. I live outside Philly and 90% of Fetanyl is cut with Xzalazine, or “Tranq.” The issue is docotor’s aren’t properly taking into account that Tranq mimics the effects of opiates, and for a prolonged timeframe (7-14 days dependent on the person). Not only does it cause necrosis, infections, drastically worsened withdrawal, (I’ve seen people take 64mg’s of Phenobarbital and it hardly have a sedative effect on them) etc. It also is killing people left and right as it induces the effects of opiates and causes severe respiratory depression. This may not have effected your patients, but please take into consideration there aren’t standard drug tests for xzalazine (horse tranquilizer) and it is a nasty drug to kick. Stay safe out there people.

For people who wants to taper off any meds ..
Try to decrease the dose .. lower to lower .. amd dont make the period long.. try to complete the therapy within 2 or 3 months max.. in my case id do it within 2 weeks..
Yea it'll make me withdraw.. but a guy who faced high severe withdrawal van take on mild ones ..
And the greatest help would be from cannabis..
I dont wanna encourage anyone.. but while trying ot taper off meds . Weed is the best .. try to smoke it after the withdrawal begins..
Yes it won't work if your does was high..
Thats why tapering is necessary.. on the period when your dose is really low to 0.5 to 1mg .. u can conteol it with weed.. yes.. ive tried it..
But the early days withdrawal cannot be controlled that way. U gotta go through it no matter what . .

You're better off waiting AS LONG AS possible to be safe - kratom should be okay even with heavy use after 4 days or so, it's water soluble so it comes out fairly well. Fentanyl, on the other hand, is fat soluble (like marijuana) and takes fucking forever to get out of your system.
To give an example - Last Tuesday I did my last dose of fent and waited five days to take just the CORNER of a strip - INSTANT PRECIPITATED WITHDRAWAL FOR 7 HOURS.
Waited another day and tried about 2x as much (hoping the previous dose kicked enough receptors clear) - NOPE!! Same shit, went to the hospital.
It took me until today (8 days) just to finally get to the point where I can safely take it. It's fucking hell if you hit it, so if you think you're not feeling good, imagine adding hardcore leg cramps, fluid out both ends, puddles of sweat, and THEN decide if you're to the point or not.

I got one dose of methadone the next day and then wasn't able to get anymore help so had to go cold turkey again for the 3rd time. Today is the 13th day. Once again, false information. Now, I am not advocating that anyone do this, but the naloxone doesn’t do shit even if you put it up your nose even if you shoot it in your arms. Think about the logic here. If you were putting a Suboxone under your tongue all the ingredients in that are getting absorbed into your bloodstream it’s not like the naloxone goes poof and doesn’t get absorbed in there. I am speaking from experience on this. I used to shoot my Suboxone all the time obviously I don’t anymore but I never got sick. It’s not like if you put the pills straight up in your bloodstream the naloxone is magically going to get activated. They had to put that in there to get FDA approval. They had to show them that they were doing everything they could to prevent abuse but I am telling you it is not true. And it kind of pisses me off because I’ve had experience where I’ve been in the hospital and nurses have given me dilaudid, And then in the morning told me I could take my suboxone and I wouldn’t be sick because the naloxone isnt activated because I’m taking it orally. That was BS I was sick because I was taking buprenorphine. The buprenorphine is what makes you sick after using has nothing to do with the naloxone. More doctors should know this. Buprenorphine has a stronger affinity than the naloxone.

    • @DeadDave666
      @DeadDave666 Год назад

Well, I can say from experience that I've been thrown right into PWS from Subutex because if not waiting. And that doesn't have any NAX in it. Bupe has a higher binding affinity. So it literally boots off whatever full opioid agonist u are using and binds to it but it only partially stimulates the receptor which causes the withdrawal.
