I am happy that you liked Al Murray and was not offended by him. The thing to remember is that he is playing a character, an opinionated Pub Landlord, hence, the Bar and beer on stage. He would no doubt, tailor his act to whichever nationality had responded first, to his question: “do we have anyone from overseas in tonight?” Al, interacts a lot with his audience and in reality is very educated and knowledgeable man, with a History Degree from Oxford University, one of the finest and oldest, in the U.K.
Stop explaining the comedy to the cousins. Who do you think you are?
And Oxford University is older than the United States!
@@Ingens_Scherz she was only explaining that the Pub Landlord was a character Al Murray played. So who the hell do you think you are? 😡👎👎👎
@@mikelarsen5836 He's obviously a bit of an upstart
Well, San Fransisco was founded sometime around about the late 1700s and fault lines weren't really uncovered and tied down to being the cause of quakes until roughly two centuries later. Continental drift was still controversial in the early 60s - as far as I recall. Everything I'm writing here is approximate, unless I double-check, and after my move, my books are still all over the place! In answer to your comment about why the city was built upon a fault line, the thing is, until cause and effect was properly known, it looked great, it looked promising and fertile and had the ocean nearby, so they went for it!
He's actually making fun of British imperialism along with Americans.
Quite possibly the first reaction from the States where there's a hint that the 'doesn't matter who comes first, when you're on your own' joke was caught and landed. Suitably impressed.
Agree, often missed in reactions
In Britain 'pissed' means drunk, not the same as U.S.
The American dream is the dream of an ideal lifestyle with a big house, mowed lawn, a dog two kids a good job, being able to go up the ladder economically socially etc etc that the USA sold to immigrants so people would come to the USA, eventually a ton of people came believing in it. Now it's outdated and isn't relevant, it's a 20th century thing. Anyways idk if my comment was necessary but I enjoyed your reaction! Didn't know Al Murray either :)
I think he actually explained what 'The American Dream' actually is, and it wasn't near as specific, and I'd say still very much relevant. 🤨
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He did? 😅 but I guess it can be many things…? That’s what we learned in English class in French and it’s true that my vision is maybe a bit specific 😅 but you get the general idea
Oioi pet, I'm glad you've found Al Murray, he's a brill act on stage, Al also is a very educated man, his time time at Oxford university as a history master attests so. Please react to more of Al, there's pkenty out there, once you start watching UK comedians you will start on a learning curve you will enjoy bonnie lass, Peter Kay, Catherine Tate, Jimmy Carr, etc. Well enjoy your learning curve pet and best regards from County Durham England
This reaction gets a like from me good job👍🏿
IM BRITISH, unfortunately I have to correct an American the City was built before they knew about fault lines and Earth quakes or plate tectonics.
Al Murry is acting out a character as a pub landlord , i would say we do have earthquakes but they are mild but 12 years ago we did have one that took us by surprise and shook houses in Birmingham .
Can't remember when it was but we had one that knocked my toolbox over in my shed. It was carnage. 🤣🤣
@@Doug791 poor toolbox lol.
If an American can't explain something, he says it's aliens! At least British people will admit when they're 'pissed' (drunk) Neil.
Al Murray class act 👏
SLAVA UKRANI
💙💛🙏🏼
Hi, Not only did San Francisco have a terrible earthquake, the US went and rebuilt in the same place!!!
Exactly!!
That's a fine example of English comedy at its best. Superb reaction, please continue your journey through British comedy. The list is endless and wonderful. You have a treat, many many treats, in store. Suggestion though...don't make the common mistake of talking before pausing because ALL of these guys make every word count. And don't be afraid of listening two or three times if you don't get it.
*Phew* That's you telt, lol 😆 here endeth the lesson. Enjoy!
Not American but my view of “The American dream” is it would be all about peace, prosperity and respect. Something the whole world dreams about but the rich and powerful fuck it up for all
of us! 😕
If anyone here knows who my accounts named after, I’m sure that plan would’ve been better than what we have now! 👍
We don't have a dream because we had the reality of life kicked into us (and out of us) in the first ten thousand years that we trod these lands. Oh boy. hello new america.
Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
If you enjoy Al Murray, then you have a proper sense of humour.
Al Murray, 'Secrataries'
Is my favourite 👍👍
It was just a roast. I think American celebrities roast one another as seen on YT. I would like you to do more AL Murray
I wish you rainbows sweetie.
Love from Belfast.
I love Al Murray.
He's brutal but without malice.
He's very knowledgeable and acts A LOT dumber than he is.
Check Out the British comedians Micky Flanagan (out out tour) or the earlier works of Frankie Boyle (2000-2010)
2 very different comedians but quite unique.
Micky Flanagan is slightly better and a Londoner (like myself)
the American Dream= “the ideal that every citizen of the United States should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.”
Ah Bless; you haven't got a clue what just happened here, have you? Okay, back to the latest Disney Wunderkind.
That was one of the best reactions., Please just remember , British humour can be a bit close to the bone,we love sarcasm.keep it going young lady.,
Thank you!
Don't worry, America isn't the only country to build in a dangerous place. The Italians have done the same with Pompeii.
Been there and when you look down from Mount Vesuvius there is absolutely zero chance of getting out of the city if that thing goes.
An American who doesn't know what the American dream is.God help us.
Try doing a reaction his video explaining Global Finance
She (like most Americans) is lost.......
loads of "reactors" same second he starts with "period" jokes cut it off....
