That is the point. It has nothing to do with pride in "the country". Here it is pride for the city. And sometimes you play against a city the rivalry goes back centuries. I do not want to offend anybody, but the US fans are customers/consumers of entertainment. For the rest of the world (not only Europe) it is love and passion to the bone.
Argentina fans can definitely compete with europeans

It´s not about the "show"... the Ultras are there for their club, for their city. It´s all about passion and sports. We the fans are part of the team too. Wherever our team goes, the Ultras will follow and our players never walk alone.

I live in Greece and I've attended games like this. This type of atmosphere is not in all games, it's the big rivalries. It's terrifying atmosphere and not for kids and families. You see every team has organized fans. They have chants(a lot in vulgar language), they have flares, flags, banners, small bombs, and drugs. They live for these days. With such a electrifying atmosphere it's hard for the opposing teams to play good. Even myself I have felt my legs go numb. The true meaning of home court.( And no opposing fans.)

USA Vs Europe CANNOT be compared. They participate and the fans act TOTALLY DIFFERENT because in Europe the fans support the club NOT the other way round

You can see those sort of ultra fans even in handball in Greece. Its the team that they follow
There are 3 kinds of fire in european stadiums.
-Small fire, for warmth and draws.
-Big fire, we won.
-Stadium burns down, dont ask.

I mean as one guy said. In USA you guys chant after music, in Europe we chant instead of playing music.

Regarding Basketball, it is not everywhere in Europe you can encounter such atmosphere, but only in Greece or other balkanic countries like Serbia.
However, in Football (soccer), it is more common across Europe :)
The différence is:
In usa the fan for sport
In Europe the sport is for fan.
No fan no sport
In the US the fans cheer for the team. In Europe the fans taunt the opposition team.

At LEAST YOU KNOW that American spectator DOSNT EAT MEAT, AND Jessica Louis ONLY sang a few words of the national ANTHEM ( SAD, and probably GOT PAID AS WELL ). The National Anthem SHOULD ONLY BE USED WHEN THE NATIONAL TEAM IS PLAYING, NOT CLUB MATCHES/GAMES😉

Americans watching like neyflix for fun europeans not watching, they living. Since their childhood, its more than a spor for them, its culture, their nations, their religion. Some clubs older than 120 years, older than usa.
Europe isnt only Greece, Turkish, İsraeli and Serbian fans are not different

@@samuelpinder1215 they really aren't. Just imagine that Greece has 5 teams with this kind of support when Serbia has only 2. Only Turkish teams that can compete with Greek football teams in terms of fans are Besiktas and Galatasaray. Greece has 5 teams with this kind of support.

These are the same people who watch football/soccer games. The ultras. In Europe, there are a lot of sport clubs which means they have teams for many sports. So the same groups of supporters will watch every sport that their clubs have to offer.
In Greece to play basketball you have to be warrior
