@@Kaid2710 Yes. It says as much in the notes at flightsim.to.
For the TO, you need to set your fuel and pax loads in the FMC (like PMDG...it doesn't use MSFS load system). Go to INIT REF, INDEX, SETTINGS, WEIGHT/BAL. Set them there, and it'll give you CG. That CG can be used to find TO trim setting. Bad takeoff and tail strike happened to me too, until i got the loads set properly with the FMC page.
Boeing 787s don't use bleed air to start the engines, they use electrical starters. In fact, you could start both engines simultaneously.
I was going to say that I tested the asobo 787 and it worked via lack of implementation or realism

@@Rahhhhhnman as far as I know the normal procedure is to start both engines simultaneously, as long as the airport procedures allow it.
Seems to me unwise to start them both exactly simultaneously. Seems best to add the loads in stages, within a few secs.

Pretty sure the engine starters are electric, so you aren't using bleed air from APU. That also means both engines can be started together
just completed a flight from EGSS to ENBR 737-900 thanks for your tips for flying helps out alot :)
Just took it for a fly two times. At first it was a big FPS drop and I had a slow time entering everything. Fortunately after flying and landing and trying a new flight the FPS came back. I determined it was the airport (KORD-Chicago) in question. This is a nice plane to fly and I enjoyed it. I like how we can see the system, hydraulics and all that stuff on the screens.
For take off the mcp speed should be set to V2.
For the transponder you can go straight to TA/RA when pushing back.
Ta/ra on pushback is not needed. Usually you leave it on stby or xpdr

do anyone know why i´m having problems with the transponder, the lnav and the screens? (problems directly related to the 787 from 4simmers) i don´t know how to eliminate at all that aircraft so that the horizon 787 can work alone, any thoughts?

Its ok, just discovered in FMC/index/settings/weight & balance
I can never enter the vref speeds, fms always deletes them as soon as they're entered, assuming a change has been made. The only bug that's been bugging me.
Is this the only flight director option it comes with. I prefer the dual que (cross)
Is there a button on the keyboard to adjust the elevator trim while on the ground & also while in flight?
You can look it up in the control configuration. I have mapped it to the hat switch on my joystick :)

There is no direct button you just select the waypoint you want to go to and insert it over the current waypoint on the legs page.

For a bigger plane, the 787 looks a bit easier to fly than the 737. I mean, less complex to get it running.
Yep that's true, 737's cockpit is a bit more legacy-looking and with way more buttons! Also 787s automate a lot of stuff not on other plane models!
Just purchased the Boeing Yoke pack. Do you use your actual flap handle for setting flaps or the buttons on the yoke? I would like to program the flap handle to set certain flap settings (5/20/30) but can't find direction on how to program this. Anyone?
I used the Airbus quadrant from Thrustmaster - it "just works" with flaps, out of the box. The flap lever on the Thrustmaster is an axis.
When flying manually, following no real flight plan, I cannot get the elevator to work once in the air. It's perfectly operational on the ground. The aileron and rudder work perfectly normal once in the air. Baffled with this one!
In fms for me there is 3 fms menus, two on the left and right, and one between them, what i have to do?
How can I change cameras without selecting the menu , I want to move it with the keyboard form inside or outside? Thanks
While in the cockpit, press END on the keyboard for the external view. END will go back into the cockpit. Also while in the cockpit, press INSERT to go to drone view. Again, INSERT again will go back to the cockpit. While in external view, the mouse can move the camera (hold right button). While in drone view, W, A, S and D translate the camera, and the keypad keys rotate it (2, 4, 6, 8) and roll it (7, 9, 1, 3).
I'm having the same problem on takeoff, no matter the flap setting. Full back pressure isn't enough until the plane suddenly unsticks from the runway and my tail strikes.
There's an issue with it - you need more airspeed than it says (until they fix it) :)

Don't need to trim in the 787. Fly by wire. It's really a waste of space lol
im trying to download this plane but when i put it in the folders they are supposed to be in there still not showing up in the sim please help
5:50 You could've used the new EFB functionality here to calculate the takeoff performance, the optimum flaps, derated thrust for takeoff, V-speeds, etc, rather than assuming 5 degree flaps and TOGA thrust. As of now, I think this is one unique feature that Asobo 787-10 (and its derivatives Horizon 787-9) has over any other addon aircraft.
I have yet to delve into that - I was more checking to see if the existing checklist would still work, or if anything had markedly changed. I'll do a video soon looking at the tablet. I'm tempted to wait until they solve the rotation bug.
when i start my 787-9 all my panels are black and i cant turn them on

They're written in the manual too - along with configuration. I probably didn't have enough flap.

You have to update the Newlight mod for it. The update is now available for SU13, plus you don’t need it for this -9 as it’s already embedded in it

I was having some CTD after downloading this. Wasnt even this plane, but CDT while flying the PMDG 737. So I deleted this and the CTDs quit. Tried two times. Same result.

You need the base Dreamliner-10 from premium or deluxe. Can't remember if premium or deluxe is the same.

@@jonbeckett The flight director looks wrong compared to the actual aircraft, as well as the “miniature airplane” on the horizontal horizon. I know, small gripes

I got tail strike every time at takeoff
Use the HUD and you’ll see a dashed line. Stay below that line and you’ll not get a tail strike.
the irs switch doesn't work
Works for me. Worth noting - the inertial navigation system takes several minutes to align. In accurately simulated aircraft you shouldn't get attitude indicator, routing, etc until it's aligned.
I use the Kuro 787 8 .. It's crazy how dull/lacking some of the stock aircraft are
Cj4, TBM, C172, 787 are not "lacking".
What’s your take on the Kuro 787 versus the Horizon one? Any differences or opinions on which is better? (I also have used the Kuro in past)
honestly they are both a good choice over the stock 10, I just prefer the 8, I also installed the RR engine sound mod; it's worth the extra 5 mins to do that. just think in terms of the user experience is both more friendly and fleshed out in either...
