I think Kobalt is a very underrated company when it comes to cordless tools. I have their 1/2" cordless impact gun along with a 3/8th impact gun and a 18ga cordless nailer and ive never had a problem with any of them. The batteries seem to last as long as any other name brand and the power of these tools is great. I use 3 bits usually, a profile bit, 1/8th spiral up cut and a 1/16th spiral up cut and it would be nice to just keep the bits in each router at the same height. I use a Bosch corded and just got the Milwaukee cordless and I know it only takes seconds to switch our bits adding this would be one less step. Plus, like you I have 4 - 4ha batteries to use.
I agree! The Kobalt line is better than people give them credit for. I like to have a router for every bit. But then again, I'm kind of obsessed with buying router too
Another unbiased and truthful tool review. Good job. Still not convinced a cordless router will ever become my "go to" router....but they do have places where they are good to have.
Thanks for sharing with us Eric and Vicki, looks like an affordable router. Just have to pay more attention to what you are doing on shutdown. Fred.🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
My thoughts as I watched the video. First of all, very good evaluation. Even with the bit change, it still sounds noisy. My Milwaukee is loud, but not that noisy. Taking the battery off is disconnecting the power like unplugging the power cord. Its the safe thing to do. Being 24v it should have more power than the others at 18v/20v. Thanks for the work
Even know you wanted another router for your collection lol that is helpful for those who can't afford the more expensive routers..it looks better then the Ridgid router.. have a great day Eric
It would be interesting to see how much the sales go up for that Kobalt cordless router. Do they even have a corded router? Personally I like the convenience of cordless, they be great for on site carving, but I'll take my corded dwp611 over anything.

Thank you John!!!
Looks pretty good but I am going to stick with my DWP 611s and my cordless Milwaukee’s. Besides I do not have any of the Kobalt platform any way.
Thank you Don!!!
I know it’s not really fair to compare cordless and corded tools but how would you say this stacks up against the Bauer?????
Comparable, but I would still take the Bauer.
@@oldave100 I Think I will take your advice and get another one before they are gone👍👍👍👍

Thank you buddy!!! I haven't checked to see if they have a corded version. Still like the DWP611 best...
They do have a 1/4” corded. It is not a trim router though.
SOUNDS AWFUL THOUGH ERIC.. REALLY RATTLES BAD.. STICK TO THE DEWALT I THINK.
Not sure what you heard but I'm happy with it it's solid. The Dewalt is still my favorite but this one is a good router.
