Thanks so much for this! I literally smashed my mirror glass yesterday and I have the replacement in my hand now - Honda were supposed to send me instructions on how to fit it but they failed. Max & team didn't!
Tks Max good to know. FYI do not move the bike with the mirrors folded in, I did and put a nice scratch on the top of the mirror with the brake lever. Not enough to warrant changing the mirror but annoying none the less
Okay, good. Now I want to see you put that mirror back on the pivot anchor piece. I bought a replacement mirror for a broken mirror, and broke off the tabs trying to figure out how to get it back together. Actually the dealer did that trying to "help me". Still don't have a working left rear view mirror after buying a replacement and letting the dealer attempt to install, breaking the piece on the bike.

We've been lucky I guess! We've never broken one.
Can you show how to snap the mirror back into place?
Assembly is the reverse... you can't really screw up putting the mirror "on". Getting off is the challenge.
Anyone knows where I can just purchase just the right mirror?
