Just installed the filler lights and also the trunk led light. When reinstalling the trunk lid do all the work, replacing the liner, the trunk latches prior to reattaching the lid. Much easier to work with off the trunk. Finish by reinstalling the trunk hinge screws and back rest. Thanks for the You Tube Video.

I'm just about to pick my non tour up from the dealer who just installed the 2021 color matched trunk on. I know I'm going to want more lights on the back. The thought of drilling a hole in the new lid of the trunk gives be the willies, but I see the point. My question is though, in the "bonus" video of the install of the 48000 connector, it looks like both of the plugs coming from the new trunk light got plugged into the same side. Both went into the cable marked "right".
Thanks for the question. The Trunk Light has two plugs, one for the right side and one for the left. So each side should be plugged into its respective side.
Hi, I am installing Honda LED Brake Light with the Honda Trunk Rack and Goldstrike LED Trunk Light to my 2018 Goldwing. I also did purchase the Goldstrike Plug-N-Play Lighting Installation Kit. My question is, do I still need to purchase the Goldstrike Lighting "Y" Splitter in order to have the Honda LED Brake Light and Goldstrike LED Trunk Light from lighting up. Thanks!
I have done this a few times on 2018 and 2021 it is much easier to put the liner in the 21. the 2018-2020 is a nightmare to snap the liner in, the 21 you just sit the liner in the lid, no snapping and fighting like the 2018.
Yes, the 2021-up bikes are much easier to install. The "snap" together on the '18-'20 bikes can be surprising, but they do work well once you get the method down.

Hi David, we remove the lid and set it on a table for a much easier installation process because then you're not working upside down inside the lid to remove all the screws and put them back in during the wiring process.

Hi Jacter, no, you do not need a Y Splitter, that is only needed if you are running more than four of our lights.
