These highway pegs are excellent in their quality and appearance. Everything about the product is top shelf - design, materials, fabrication, packaging - all outstanding. Clearly a great deal of planning and thought went into the product including this video which makes install a breeze. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Goldstrike!
I just did this tonight, no lift, garage floor, limited tools and took about 1 1/2 hours total but I'm old. They are solid and look better than others I have seen.
Matt, what is your inseam and how tall are you? How those pegs working so far? I am trying to learn more about them before I drop 3 bills on it. I am 6'4", 32 inseam. I do have Utopia backrest.
I just picked up a set of these with pegs in black. Nicely packaged quality product that I am sure will last a long time. I did note that I had to have the right side back one hole in the mount to be even with the left side and get an equal measurement from the factory pegs to the highway pegs.
I just installed mine. It seems to be a well-made and engineered product. It was a fairly simple install that any reasonably handy person should be able to do. A tip not mentioned in the video to make it go smoothly is, when installing the peg mount on the clevis (step 9 and figure 8 in the included instructions), insert the pin 3/4 of the way through the clevis and peg mount then slide the wave washer in the opposite side (rounded side in first). Otherwise it is very difficult to line up the clevis, peg mount, and wave washer to push the pin through. But if you slide the pin part way through, it holds everything inline when you slide the wave washer in. I have a 29” inseam and installed the slider mount on the last two holes rather than the middle two holes as shown in the video. In any case, there is plenty of adjustability to find a comfortable position.
I'm glad that I came across this video I was adjusting them all the wrong way. The dealer initially installed them on my 18 wing. Thanks for the informative video.
Guys. I have to say that was a very easy install. I have the 60330 version. But the install was identical. I will say the washers that come in the kit for the final attachment of the rest to the bracket for the bracket perfectly but it didn't fit the bolt (hole was to small) I read the instructions that said you recommend locktite. I used the blue on all the bolts except for the adjustable bolts. Once dialed in I'll locktite those as well. 45 min from start to finish. In full transparency. I worry about the long term strength of what looks like cast brackets. But other than that. I love the look and the engineering is spot on
Totally agree , would be much easier to install if step by step and take you about zero time to explain that on the video .Great product ,but what were you thinking ?
Good video. I agree with earlier comment regarding pre-assembly. For a newby like me, more detail would be helpful. That said, your video in concert with the instructions that came with it (not awesome but helpful) were enough to get me over the finish line. Thanks.
The only criticism i would add is this You should emphasize the need to loctite bolts once you decided where you want your pegs located.. I have experienced on my 2010 Goldwing, bolts coming lose (while riding) on the kuryakyn peg mounts.. Another thing I don't like about these products, is they don't provide information on load capacity and design safety factor??
I agree with Lance there's parts in there I'm not sure what there for they look like thease aluminum curve washers no clue what that's for im still trying to figure out the installation.
Is there any issue if the bike drops on the side ? It seems the OEM tubes are covered by the pegs and the pegs will be the first to get in touch with the ground ? Could you clarify, please ? I am very interested by this clean mounts.
The Goldstrike 3-Way Adjustable Highway Peg Mounts are designed to provide excellent ground clearance when turning at speed. They are made out of Stainless Steel for strength and mounted directly to the OEM engine guard. Any highway peg will likely touch the ground if the bike falls over, is tipped, or crashed. This is the case with every highway peg design that I am aware of.
You need a second person with the camera who can do a close up of what you are doing. On some shots it is difficult to see what you are doing. Glad to have the video though.
The pegs, even folded up, stick out much farther than the stock engine guard. I don’t know what would happen in a crash, whether the damage to the peg would cause any damage to the bike because the pegs are bolted to the engine.
Please upload higher quality video and do not do any preassembly. As mentioned below, this is the hardest part as the included instructions are very poor.4 M6 flat washers are included, but never mentioned in the instructions, except step 3 for 1 washer. Assembly of the clevis would be ideal to include in this video. Tips on the tabs and gromet on the plastic cover were nice, thank you.
Hi David, we designed the Goldstrike 3-Way Adjustable Highway Peg Mounts to provide improved riding comfort for all Gold Wing riders. They are adjustable and the mounting position chosen by the owner may have an effect on lean angle. The rider can decide what is the best riding position for them but they must also understand how it may affect lean angle. Please note, we have had customers take it on the dragon and haven't had any complaints!
Hi Ken I’m going to buy a new Goldwing 21/22 model not sure yet which one. You do a catalog for your products I’ve seen it on RUclips and I’m going to be ordering thousands of dollars worth of goodies as we can’t get your products here in Ireland 🇮🇪. I will be buying the bike in America from Bill Hollinks in Rochester NY so can you send me a catalog to Ireland if so I will send on my address. Kind regards Pierce
Poor instructions. Primarily because of the “pre-assembly” stuff skipped. Easy to cover just the easy parts of the install. And they haven’t updated this even after 2 years of people giving this feedback.

I’ve got a couple thousand miles on my mounts. They work great and have them In a very comfortable position. Thanks Goldstrike

The "pre-assembly" is part of the installation and should be documented for completeness.
Hi David, thank you for the feedback, as we do more installation videos we will definitely take this into account.
Yes I just installed mine and the pre assembly was the hardest part to figure out especially just using the printed instructions
Directions are sorely lacking. Agree with David, should not have skipped anything in the video.
@@ciro3d_goldstrike3d Update the video WITHOUT the pre-assembly, please

Use one of the washers on the main mount bolt, then the two others on the u clamp bolts.
@@dnmlaw I got it now
I would have liked to see the preassembly portion as well. He skips some of the steps.
Yeah... how'd you get that frame bolt out?
How much lean angle does this take away? It looks like the pegs will drag very easy.

You guys are doing great. Keep the products coming.
This is a much cleaner look by far than some of the others I’ve seen for this newest generation GoldWing. Is this made from CNC’d aluminum stock?
Hi there! Thank you for the kind words, the arms and clevis are stainless and the mounts steel.
Ciro 3D
Thank you!! Keep creating! I see some of your products in use on Adam Sandavol’s channel.
Will the Kuryakin foot pegs work on these mounts? I ask because I can save $90 dollars using my old pegs off my last gold wing.
Hi Bert, as long as they have a Harley-Davidson style male mount adapter they will work with our 3-Way Adjustable Highway Pegs.
When Andy Dick's brother shows you how to put on highway pegs.... I'll be a customer soon
Gold strike why is there no video of installing passenger highway pegs?!?
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We're working on a bunch of new installation videos and will be sure to add this to our list for you!
Where did you get the chrome drop bar covers? They're gorgeous!
Hi James, I'm not sure which product you're referring to but you can find our complete product selection here: goldstrike3d.com/
They are Goldstrike Twinart part number 78310 $44.99 for a pair. Also available for the rear saddlebag guard covers, part number 78320, also $44.99.
What foot rests are compatible if I opt for just the mount?
Hi Jason, our Goldstrike Twin Rail Floorboards and Twin Rail Footrests will both work: goldstrike3d.com/collections/footrest

Are you guys coming up with a Toe heel shifter board?
Hi Johnny, not at this time but I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to our design team. Thank you!
Do they interfere with cornering at all?

The reason I'm here is because the included instructions aren't clear. Your pre-assembly is a disservice. I appreciate the effort, but it falls short.
