  • This clamshell machine has been popular for a lot of years. This time, we will be looking at the GX260 variant from the Optiplex series.

    What kind of memory can I use? Frequency?
    What kind of processor are supported?

      +Vinicius Fortunato You can use DDR 200/266/333/400, but it will run at 266 max. As for CPUs, any 400/533Mhz Celeron or Pentium 4 will work. No Prescott 800Mhz CPU will work with it. Best bet is a 3.06Ghz Northwood Pentium 4.

      My gx260 are with a orange light fixed at turned on and don't starts.
      What can it be?

      +Vinicius Fortunato Hmm, an orange light eh? Sounds serious. There a 4 LEDs at the back, all in one light and they show a number. Could you tell me which ones are lit?
