I just had a Robotic Myomectomy yesterday and though I’m in pain I’m so thankful I am alive and well!!! God bless everyone who has been having problems with fibroids because it’s no joke.

Thank you so much. I had my surgery last Tuesday, I bought a heating pad, a little pillow. Today is my day 2 everything goes well. Only I don’t move my bowel yet.

My sister had surgery to remove uterine Fibroids on Thursday April 1, 2021. She stay overnight at the hospital and the hospital released her Friday Morning April 2, 2021. She was in pain but by Easter Sunday, she felt better after taking pain medicine. The morning after her surgery, the doctor who performed the surgery informed her that she would have to have another surgery, as there was not enough material left during the first surgery because the Fibroids were so big that they ran out of material. They told her that they were the biggest that they had ever seen supposedly. On Tuesday April 20, 2021, my sister had surgery to remove the remaining fibroids but although the surgery was completed, there was a three-hour delay. She was sent back home the next day just as she was after the first surgery. She said that she was not in the same pain that she was in from the first surgery but she did say that she felt dizzy and felt like she was about the throw up when she was still at the hospital. We talked to her a few times when she was back home and she called as well. She told her son that she was in pain but not as bad before and I texted her about 9:08pm that night and she told me that she was sleeping. The next day we called her but could not contact her. Eventually we went to her apartment and she would not answer. We got law enforcement to open her apartment door. She was found deceased in her bed. She was on her stomach and she appeared as if she was sleeping. The coroner said that she died from a blood clot that went to her brain but the coroner convinced my mother not to get an autopsy. I do not know if she was taking anti-blood clot medicine or if they had her wearing stockings. We have a lawyer discussing the situation now. DVT is a risk with this particular surgery but things do not make sense as to why she was allowed to have the surgery so soon after just having the other one because supposedly it takes 4-6 weeks to recover from the surgery. Also in the hospital, she mentioned that her blood pressure was through the roof. My sister had a history of seizures and high blood pressure as well. Her blood pressure medicine never really seem to keep her blood pressure in check. I just wonder should she even had the surgery with her health problems. Were the doctors aware of this or did they even care? The hospital that performed the surgery recently was sue for malpractice and my sister told my mother after the surgery that one nurse did not appear to know what they were doing and didn't have the pain pump available until another nurse arrived and knew what to do.

I have been living w fibroids for like 20 yrs, and one grew over 10 cm since 4-5 years ago. Mieya Hardee ironic you ask this today. I am actually at the hospital having surgery. They cancelled my March appt due to Covid and during that time I decided to have a partial hysterectomy. Kind of sad but it’s what’s best for my body. I have had too many blood transfusions and don’t want to keep getting. Keep me in prayer today if you don’t mind! ❤️

Thank you for your video, I got the surgery done on Friday, I'm at home recovering now... Trying to see what foods I should eat to recover faster but I feel very nauseous and don't have any appetite...
I totally agree, the pain from gas and constipation was worse for me than the actual wounds. I also had lots of bleeding on the second and third day after surgery but that was i believe because my period was trying to start on the morning of the surgery. The tiredness and fatigue is what is bothering me right now, day 5 after surgery

They told me they were gnna take my uterus out there was no way on saving it and at the end of the day I woke up from surgery with my uterus I do have a cut going up and down with staples my fibroid was a babies head size….. @AbigailSanchez1986 Hi sister, yes I did. I've been great. I had a baby in 2019 and my obgyn does an ultrasound every year during my annual. So far they haven't grown back.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. Prior to the surgery, like a month before did you stop consume meat? Were you on any meds to build up your blood?
Anesthesia and pain medication can cause constipation, so I wanted to reiterate the IMPORTANCE of taking some type of fiber supplement or powder and trying to get up and walk everyday. Don't push yourself, but slowly increase your walking, daily.

I just found out I have a fairly large fibroid about 7.5 cm in diameter and still have to wait two weeks for an appointment with my gynecologist for further evaluation and a treatment plan. I’m a little bit nervous, not even for the recovery but for the scarring. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the great tips! I am considering the laparscopic or robotic myomectomy. Did you see any changes in the look of your stomach after the surgery? I have abdominal bloating from my fibroids that make me look 3 or 4 months pregnant. I wanted to know if you saw any changes. Also, I have heard that if you get the myomectomy you will most likely have to have a C-section during labor and delivery. Do you know if this is true? I don't have children yet so I am wondering if its possible to have a normal delivery in the future.
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yes, I noticed a huge change. I experienced a little bit of swelling after the surgery. I was amazed by how flat my stomach got after the swelling decreased. I no longer look or feel bloated. My uterus was originally the size of a woman who was 3 months pregnant. Scarring has been minimal. Yes, it's true that you'll need to have a c-section. My obgyn told me this would be the safest way to deliver to avoided uterine rupture.

A trial of labor is appropriate. You don’t have to go straight to c-section after a myomectomy. It’s similar to having a VBAC.

How big were your fibroids? Bigger than 3cm? Mine are 2 and 3cm. But they are in the wall not in the lining. But my doctor wants me to do open myomectomy. I'm getting a 2nd opinion too.

Thank you for the tips! I am due to have my laparoscopic myomectomy on 10/26/2018. I am super nervous. My Doctor says that I will be healed and ready to return to work 3 weeks after the procedure. How long did it take you to get back to 100%?
You're so welcome! I'm sure your surgery will go well. I was very nervous too. I was off work for 2.5 weeks and by week 3 I felt 100%. The first week was the hardest, and week 2 was much better. Get plenty of rest, take your time, and you'll be just fine.

I just had the surgery 2 days ago, still sore and swollen but getting up to walk around every 2 hours. The gas pain is bad. I didn't think Gas X would work since the gas is in your abdominal cavity and not in the digestive tract itself, so you can't really pass gas and get it out
I hope you have a smooth recovery. The GasX helped me but walking around helped alot too.

Hi sis, I would bring up any concerns to your local elders. I'm sure they'd be happy to assist. I was also concerned about the blood issue too and used a physician approved by the hospital liason committee. One of the elders also lovingly came to the hospital before my surgery, prayed beforehand, and stayed with my family to support.

How big were your fibroids? I cant have the keyhole surgery because my largest fibroid is 16cm . My gynaecologist said I'll have to have an up down incision. Waiting for an MRI scan to see how many I have and the size :(
I moved to Texas by myself . I recently went to the doctor and was diagnosed with fibroids . My mom lives in Oklahoma and she works from home . I have a small studio I just moved in with no furniture yet but a big air mattress . I say that to say I think it’s best I go to Oklahoma to get my surgery . My mom has 4 bedrooms and I know she will be able to help me . I don’t want to be here alone . I’ve never had surgery in my life .
Yes definitely go to OK for your mom to help you. You'll need some help getting in/out of bed. I'm on day 2 post op and could not imagine being by myself. So far so good with healing. Definitely the gas pain..gas x helps a ton. Now taking miralax to help with bowel movement. I've been peeing non stop which is good. Just mainly discomfort in abdomen. I try to get up and walk around house for 15 min at a time throughout the day

Hi, is the nausea you experienced from the sedation or pain pills they gave you. I'm due to have the laparoscopic myomectomy, and I have a fear of vomiting 🤢, so i might opt out of the pain pills.

Hot Soda helps to relieve the gas pain. I suffered for days until my friend came to visit. Gave me a soda and I let out a huge burg and felt better😩😩😩

I have fibroids but my issue is my period: heavy bleeding and moderate-severe cramps that I have to take a lot of aleve/tylenol for every month...do you think this surgery is worth it for me? Do you ever get cramps anymore or did your flow lighten at all since the surgery? Sorry for all the questions lol
Hi, Thanks! I had very heavy periods with horrible cramps, and lots of pain. I also started to bleed in between periods. My flow is totally different after surgery. My periods are very light and rarely do I take anything for pain ( I used to take prescription naproxen) before the surgery. Now my periods are 2, 3 days max.

Hello friend, vedio was really use full who all are going for surgery. Its been twenty days now. I am feeling very week. Can someone will suggest the diet so that I can regain the energy as before, thanks in advance.
I hope you are feeling better. I ate lots of protein and green leafy vegetables to get my iron and energy back up.

Did your cycle change after the surgery. Im currently in recovery and worried about cramps when I get my cycle again.
It changed tremendously. Periods are shorter, lighter, and cramps are minimal.
How was your 1st cycle after your surgery? Mines was heavy and painful but I heard some people say that that was normal for the 1st and 2nd cycle
My first one was 10 days after the lap myomectomy. Very heavy and painful and I'd never had period pains before. On my second cycle now. Shocked by the heavy bleeding and discomfort. Guess it's something I'll need to get used to. I'm 6 weeks post op.
How many days the bleeding is there after surgery...
I know everyone's different for me it was about 3 days.

I've heard that the chills and shivers are very common. I was cold a lot after my surgery.

@@busybeingshasha i got scheduled and I'm wondering what I'll be doing post op. Will I just lay does it hurt to walk, pee, even drive.
@@macgyverdallas9444 I had to wait a few weeks before my doctor gave me the clearance to drive. The first week was the hardest for me. Walking was painful and it was hard to use the restroom too. Things improved for me by week 2.

@@missluvmoney yes. I had the most painful experience but it was worth it. I was in the hospital for for 5 days my blood pressure was really elevated.
It took me to day 6 to pass a bowel and I was miserable. I was out of work for about 3.5 weeks. My fibroids were melon size.
