1 week post surgery.. I'm walking around no complications thank God.. Day 1 after surgery i passed urine normal with the catherter in. Upon removal was uncomfortable though. Passing gas was normal as well I even pooed before leaving the hospital.. I did surgery Wednesday and came out Friday afternoon.. I got suppositories twice think that helped with pooping. As for the nausea that was the worst was so bad I vommited right after waking up from surgery.. With an empty stomach, much to say was all Bile. I was scared as hell that I would burst out my stitches. The nurses was so helpful though I had my own room and bathroom so I was very comfortable. In the hospital bed at day 2 though i was overwhelmed and ready to go home. I got so emotional guess that was hormones because my period came right after surgery exactly 2 days after.. I was worried that my iron levels would be low bcus of blood loss during surgery since I wasn't given any blood, thank God I didn't, since I preferred to get my own blood but none was drawn prior.. But my periods were normal for once since the last 3 years.. I got lots of iv for hydration post surgery about 8-10 maybe I'm exaggerating since I was all drugged up.. lol! Post surgery was mint tea and water which I couldnt keep down so I vommited twice after. (Vommited total of 3 times) This was the morning post surgery 5am. I was cleaned up and catheter taken out (didn't like that feeling). omg! That thirst after surgery though was krazy.. (So my surgery was 6pm in the evening and I woke up in pain, that was to 9pm in my own room same night) still with nothing to drink. Was told I couldn't. This is etched in my memory as the pains were excruciating so I got iv pain meds and injection.. Pain subside soon after. I was in and out of sleep until around 11pm I went to bed and slept until 5am when nurse woke me. Day 1 post surgery I was pretty strong walked the corridors on my own.. To note, i was dizzy be prior to that and got assisted to bathroom, getting up etc. Day 2 was my worst, by then all anesthesia wore off and I was feeling pain in the back of my shoulders and neck. That was from the gas they used I guess during surgery to help expand to see inside. Plus I was just tired and groggy in to day 3.. Now day 10 i make comfortable come off my bed without holding my belly but I still do.. One concern though Is that hardness at my incision site it was above now it almost in the incision now.. The gas after eating was krazy my stomach was making so many sounds and I get hungry easily.. I have been using mint tea and throughout the day help with that.. I'm not bloated tho..I'm off all medications since day 8, and off pain meds completely from day 6.. I think being an active person speeds up healing also.. Make sure to eat a iron rich diet, I do lots of fish, fruits and vegetables, green juices etc.. I do no sugars, diary or flour products.. Listen to your body and don't push yourself too much. Still have tenderness but no pains and I paste myself. Don't OD.. Thanks for sharing and hope this helps someone.. Above all pray and put Jesus first..
I do remember my own too, I was pregnant in 2019 16 week after baby die due to fibroid inside fighting with him in my uterus, 2020 I was so scared and I pray and went to surgery in Wisconsin everything went well, I was struggling getting pregnant but I took some fertility tea and prenatal vitamins, and ovulation tracker and boom, I m pregnant. I gave birth in 2021 with a bouncy baby boy. I'm so grateful to God 😭❤️🥰😍🥳🎉🥳🎉🎉🎉
My surgery was ok. I had to get up and walk. It was the worst. I had an older lady that gave me a bath and it was so refreshing. I was so out of it when I got home from the hospital stay for two days, I fell out of the bed because I didn't want to wake my husband for a restroom run. But I give my husband the greatest praise because he was the best.
Thanks for sharing. I'm a week post op from my myomectomy, I only stayed for 1 night in the hospital. I had my surgery in the morning and was eating solids later that day. My overall pain wasn't bad at all, thank God. My cut was vertical, but I'm not sure if that helped. Im able to walk up and down stairs without help. I was super nervous before having surgery since this was my fisrt one but glad my recovery has been great so far. My fibriods were large 15 cm, 12.5 cm, and 7 cm
Glad to hear your experience as well as the ladies in the comment section. I am on recovery myself and its Day 17 with no major complications. Weird enough but i wasn't somehow scared or nervous at all before and after my first surgery as I held faith in my doctor and the lord and boy that was a miracle! From that day on, the amount of respect that I had for healthcare providers had skyrocketed like crazy! I mean they surely are no less than God for us at the time when you see your loved ones entering into the Operation theatre. Oh geez! It is so emotional but again hats off to the real heroes!!❤
Thank you for sharing your journey. I have the same surgery this coming Monday and I'm sooo nervous.!!! I'm staying in hospital for 2 days. I will definitely pay attention to the nausea and catheter.!
Ibuprofen and Tylenol strip the mucus lining of our stomach which makes it difficult for us to hold food down until it’s replenished that’s why probiotics and Greek yogurt help us replace and maintain that healthy micro biome
Hey there!! I’m sorry to hear about the pains you were feeling! Remember to take it easy as you are in the healing process. I know for me once I started “feeling better” I felt like I could do more around the house instead of taking it easy lol.

Hey Mikayla. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm 6 days post op, so far so good. Had the same experience as you, but I did get constipated. The worst part of it all is getting in and out of bed as you mentioned. But I believe I'll be okay as the days go by... Lemme watch more of your videos to get the whole story 🤗🤗

@@MikaylaMJones I'm a week out and I can finally walk by myself. But the pressure in my abdomen is crazy. Thanks for making your videos it's helpful to know that I am not alone 😸

I think they sent you home too early too, girl. I'm 1 week post op, they kept me 1 week, I stayed there since the day before the surgery and came back yesterday. I'm feelin stronger and better eqch day but I'm still weak and get stabbing pain if I stay up for too long
I just had my lap surgery yesterday. It took them 3 1/2 hours to remove all my fibroids . It was supposed to only be 2 hours but because I had so many it took much longer .
Oh shit, the throwing up was bad. I just had my surgery 2 days ago and I threw up the second day after surgery with that incision oh boy................... Not something you would wish on someone. I'm glad I stayed two nights, the second night (yesterday) was a bit rough with the pain.
Hey! I hate to hear that you got sick after surgery. I totally agree, it is not something I would wish on ANYONE. That was the sickest I’ve ever been in my life, I’m sooo glad to hear you stayed for the two nights. I hope that you are feeling a lot better now!
Hey!!! Hope you are having a smooth recovery! I did used the little white binder band that they gave me at the hospital. I’ll say for maybe 2/3 weeks. Only because it helped keep my bandage in place! Other than I don’t think it did anything helpful
Question about healing afterwards 1: how long was it before you can go to the bathroom alone? 2: after the surgery was you able to sit up and turn over on your own?
Hey!!! So I was honestly able to go to the bathroom alone the day after the surgery. Of course I had my husband and my mom listening out and making sure that I was okay! And it took a while for me to be able to sit up and turn over on my own, maybe about 3-4 weeks. Turning over was the worst lol. I needed help doing so for a while after surgery. Hopefully this was helpful ❤️❤️❤️
@@MikaylaMJonesthey must have given you a short and low cut! I couldn’t go to the bathroom on my own until some time after going home. But I did come out of surgery with Pnuemonia which I did NOT have going in. Yep, I think you were discharged too early. I had a hysterectomy recently on a Thursday morning and I was discharged the Sunday mid morning. I didn't eat that since the Wednesday before the surgery, the Thursday itself when I had the operation until Friday night so I didn't have nausea.
