    Thank you so much for sharing this! Also had an open myomectomy and healing has been great. I felt like I was at 90%. We tried to be intimate at the 4 week mark and my body internally was not happy with me. Started to experience light bleeding for the last few days. Just another reminder that even when we physically feel ready, internally our bodies can not be.

    Hey! Glad you are feeling better! Some questions I have: 1) if my husband is going to be the one to help me around after the surgery... How many days should he take off work to help care for me? 2) How much time would you recommend to take off work from an office job? 3) What are some things you do to help when your journey to motherhood feels long, difficult, and has you feeling down? 4) Best thing about marriage so far? 5) Ways you've seen God use your struggles for good?

    Hi there, thanks for the video. I'm 3 weeks post op from a laparoscopic myomectomy and wanting to be intimate with my partner. How long did you wait exactly to have intercourse after the surgery? Also did you have it laparoscopically or open abdomen myomectomy? Wishing you speedy recovery!

    • @MikaylaMJones
      @MikaylaMJones  2 года назад +1

      Hey! I believe we actually waited until the 4 week mark. I was extremely nervous so I wanted to make sure I was REALLY healed but we probably could have been intimate at the 3 week mark. Its all up to you, your body, and how you are feeling! also I had the open abdomen myomectomy! I hope you are recovering well❤

    So your stomach incision area was like rock hard after? I'm 1wk post op of having 17 fibroids removed n my lower abdomen is rock hard and soooo tight I thought sumn was wrong!

    • @MikaylaMJones
      @MikaylaMJones  2 года назад +1

      Hey!!! Yes my stomach is still hard where my incision is and it’s been 2 months now! I spoke with my doctor about it because it was a concern for me as well & she let me know that it will take months for that hardness to completely go away however, it is nothing to worry about (Thank God, LOL). Massaging the area helps with the tightness!

    • @Cjean871
      @Cjean871 2 года назад +4

      I’m approximately 4 weeks post op and the scar tissue around my incision has significantly gone down by massaging it for 20 minutes twice a day and covering it with silicone tape. My doctor said massaging it increases blood flow to the area, which in turn promotes healing
