    Thanks you for this video, super helpful ❤ my first period was 2 weeks post op and was super light I was expecting that to be the case moving forward. 2nd post op period at 6 weeks and it feels similar to what I experienced before the surgery. Your video is so reassuring. I was feeling the pain in the area my largest fibroid was removed. Was wondering if that’s due to the uterus contracting where it’s healing ? But I will keep in touch with my doctor and monitor it for a while ❤

    Same for me, the first day was the worse I had to go to the ER room because the pain was unbearable. The flow wasn’t heavy at all, but that pain from healing and uterus trying to contract I had to get pain medicine…I have a high tolerance for pain. So when I had to go to the ER my doctor knew it was bad. The next day wasn’t bad, very light and easy.
    I’m my 2nd cycle now. The pain I feel it, but it wasn’t as bad as the first one. I was told the first 2 cycle may be a lil rough.
    The heating pad definitely irritates the incision. I couldn’t use it how I I wanted to

    i’m 8 days post-op from my myomectomy & i started my cycle 😢. i needed a real review of why i’m in so much pain (haven’t had my 2 weeks post-op checkup yet) BUT YES!!! “my uterus is finna fall out” is the best explanation. the pressure and cramps is 9/10, but i’m dramatic as well. i started back struggling with standing upright. lower back pain. bladder hurts. i have to hold the area around my incision when im peeing because of the sharp pains (then again i’m still only 8 days post-op)
    i was prescribed ibuprofen 800mg & oxy when i was discharged so i kind of relied on them the first 2 days but i don’t like the groggy feeling of taking either one so i started taking half a pill, hugged a pillow, stayed off my feet, wore socks & lots of water (it’s day 3 & i think i will try drinking tea before bed).
    i also had my third bowel movement since i was discharge on the first day of my cycle and it was honestly one moment i felt relief from the cramps and pressure.
    thank your for sharing your experience ❤

      side note: miralax or prune juice helped me have more frequent bowel movements

    Just got my first period today after 3 weeks post my myeomectomy, I don't know what he'll feels like but I'm sure I'm one step in hell. The pain is unbearable. The headache, the heat on my abdomen....
    I feel reassured that I'm not going through this alone.

    I thought birth control would make the period lighter instead of heavy. Perhaps that bleeding is also a sign of healing?? May the Most High continue to heal you and grant you ease during this recovery. When you talked about the pressure, I was grimacing and clenching my lower abdomen. Flash back of terrible cramps I'd experience.

    • @MikaylaMJones
      @MikaylaMJones  2 года назад +2

      Yeah I thought the same about BC so I was very surprised that I was in such pain lol but I was told by my doctor that my 1st period after the surgery could be painful! I believe Aunt Flo should be showing up in a couple days so we will see how it is now lol.

    Hi! I’m 6 weeks post op and wanted to send you some encouragement. It gets so much better. I still have some hardness on my incision but massaging the area helps a lot. I hope your next period was better! Mine used to be long but have bow gotten tons better.
    Wishing you the most positivity on your TTC journey- we are on it together :)
    Hows the birth control going? I’ve heard mixed things about taking it, something about hormone disruption.

    • @MikaylaMJones
      @MikaylaMJones  2 года назад

      Thank you so much for the encouragement!!! I am now approaching the 6 weeks post & I can say I’m feeling better. Still dealing with the hardest as well but I haven’t been massaging the area so I will try to do more of that! Uhh… the birth control has been a issue for me as far as hormonal imbalance! I was already VERY against taking BC but I was trying to do as I was told too however I believe this will be my last cycle taking it, I just don’t want to keep pumping that stuff in my body lol

    I'm exactly 3 weeks post op. Got my period yesterday. Yesterday was sooo painful. My lower left back felt like it was on fire. I took the oxycodone and it did not help😳. I was in bed all day. I got up 2am and took the ibuprofen and was able to sleep. Today is day 2 and omg I am bleeding so heavily to the point I leaked out on my car ride back from grocery shopping 😭. Was not expecting it to come back with a vengeance!

      Hey! Great question! I was put on birth control after surgery to prevent pregnancy for 6 months while my uterus heals especially because my husband and I did not want to use any other protection. However, I did not stay on the bc for long because I didn’t like altering my hormones.

    I just had my surgery 6 weeks ago, I bled 13 days after with a lot of pain. The doctor said the fibroid was stuck to the uterine wall and she had a hard time removing it as well as opening me. I had a tummy tuck several years prior and had some really tight muscle. It was rough in the hospital and I bled so much came home anemic. I also bled 13 days post op quite a bit. I was relieved for 7 days then once again bleeding again, I was instructed to use birth control post op to help the bleeding didn’t do much. I took it out when I was due to remove and I bled more. I guess that was my period, it has since stopped almost 12 days. I’m not sure when I will have another period but I hope it’s more forgiving.
