HEY LADIES!🚨
Just so it’s clear my incision is located below my panty line so it’s pretty far down. I had to insert a picture over the video because I felt I may have been showing a little to much chile LOL. But like always I am here to answer ANY questions. I just didn’t want to show all my BUSINESSSSS😂
I completely understand🥂
Thx for you video I am one week post op. I have the hardness as you said. I hate the burning sensation when I get up. But it is going away day by day. Hopefully next week I can walk longer. Whenever I walk for more than 10 mins I feel heavy
I’m 2 weeks post op. I had 6 fibroids removed. Recovery has been an experience 😫
Goodness! Recovery is definitely a beast!! Wishing you well and I’ll be praying for you!
Hope you’re recovering well and quickly. Any tips? Experience the same thing
@@MikaylaMJones thank you!
@@vanessakimana3929 I’ve been getting random stabbing pains along the incision site and have felt some sharp pains in my pelvis. The surgeon said it’s normal and means that I’m healing internally so hopefully nothing else develops. I hope your recovery goes smoothly!
I'm 3days post the surgery and every time i dress the scar with some surgical spirit, i keep having this weird jumping like sensation, it's like it's sensitive. It's very uncomfortable😢😢😢😢
I am 6 months post myomectomy surgery. My scar is very low and my doctor glued my stomach back together. It's very smooth. It's a straight line. Tip to everyone getting this surgery, workout weeks prior to surgery. It made a world of difference for my recovery. I trained like I was about to run a marathon. Running, weights, swimming, spinning, just move your body. It made my body strong after surgery and my recovery was easier. I did not need help. I could get up and move about because I trained my body. I still needed pain management, I walked everywhere and though my belly and face went down significantly months after surgery, I'm still slightly swollen around my tummy and it itches like it's still healing. I also get waves of fatigue. I have moments when I feel completely wiped out or post surgery fatigue. It can take 1 year for some women to feel 100 percent, because it's major surgery. And, yes overall I feel way better. My doctor removed 10 of 12 fibroids. The biggest was 10-12 cm, the others looked like golf balls. The two we left were tiny and on the bloodline, so we left them. I wanted my uterus. I'm 46, so those 2 tiny fibroids will dry up when menopause comes. I talk about my journey with pictures on my channel Lovely Lana.💞
Thank you!
I had the same surgery February 13th, 2023. The fibroid was 12cm 😬. The doctors had to do the same to me as well. Take out my uterus to a certain extent to remove the fibroid. I received what's called a tap block anesthesia method so I'm still experiencing numbness as well.
oh wow! This is the first comment Ive received saying that someone went through the same thing as far as having to remove the uterus. When my doctor told me that it was definitely a shock lol
@@MikaylaMJones I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't believe it at first but I'm so happy I got surgery. I can rebuild my life 🙏🥲
Exactly what was done to me, am 19 days post op, and recovering gradually while waiting for my period to come, which is already 3days late 😞
@gracefrancis9801 It will get better. I'm 5 months post op and I feel amazing!
Thanks for sharing your story! I had a myomectomy last Friday (may12) so it has been a week and 3 days for me ! Each day I feel I’m getting stronger but I make sure to take it easy because I want my body to slowly heal how it’s suppose to! My fibroids was causing me some infertility so I pray once I get the okay from my doctor my husband and I can try for a baby ! Your story is truly inspiring and gives me so much hope ! ❤️ congrats on your pregnancy !!! 🙏🏾 any advice on good vitamins to take ? After surgery . Again thanks for your video I’ve watched them all lol 💕
Hey!! I'm so happy that you are feeling stronger every day! Definitely continue to take it eassssy. I am praying that once you are recovered and the time is right that God will bless your womb 💞 thank you sooo much for finding my videos inspiring, it means so much! I didn't take a lot of different vitamins after surgery however when my doctor gave the ok to start prenatal vitamins again... I jumped on it girl lol! Again I wish you the best of luck and if you ever need any advice or encouraging words definitely feel free to reach out !
Thank you for sharing your story. I went through the same surgery a month ago and I was so glad to find your channel 2 weeks before surgery. Your experience has been giving me the hope and strength I needed. I was also able to better prepare myself mentally and otherwise for this journey.
It’s been 4 weeks since my procedure and I was worried about the numbness. Thank you for sharing your story! It helps so much. Bless you for this
Heyyyyy! Thank you so much for watching and leaving this comment. I am so glad that my videos have been able to help you. I can definitely understand your concern about numbness, I can say there are parts above the incision that are still numb for me but massaging definitely helps with that! 💕💕💕
Looking good ma'am! Wait a minute!! I missed that part about taking the uterus out and putting it back in. To Allah be the glory for modern medicine
Yesss sis, we were shocked too lol I never even knew that doctors could do such a thing!
I had same surgery 2 weeks ago, also had long vertical incision
How much recovery to go back to work? Did your stomach bulge go down?

You will come out very safe ,let me know if there is anything else you want to know
OK siz thank you
So glad I found your video - Im in South Africa and have had the same surgery my uterus was taken out and the fibroid was removed two weeks ago - I've never had surgery before so it all feels so strange but I think I'm on track and the doctors says healing is going well. Just at two weeks having the wound I can't call it a scar yet because there's still a line of bruising formed that feels so strange and tingly still bit I believe it gets better. Will look for more of your earlier videos. Thanks again for sharing! And hope you are fully healed 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for finding my content helpful! I hope you continue on a GREAT healing journey ❤️
Did any of you have a left over skin sag afterwards and if so what steps did you take to try and help with this?
7:21 How long after surgery did your swelling go down?
Glad you are recovering
Thank you Kenny J!!!!!
Hello i just like to know did your Doctor tell you when can you have exercise and what kind of exercise you can do? After your surgery
Glad you are recovering well. Wishing you continued success ❤️
Thank you so much for the well wishes!! ❤️
Some women will have a vertical scar though.
That is so true! Depending on what type of surgery you got I believe!
@@MikaylaMJones I had really big fibroids and they were pretty high up. So, a bikini incision was not gonna do it for me. I had to get a vertical incision.
@EricaYE6 same with me...I have a vertical scar and I'm 7 wks po. The recovery is long😢...but at least I can get back to the gym at this point. I can only do cardio at this time but at LEAST slowly train up to the level I was at pre surgery.
@@EricaYE6 same here. 1month post op and my vertical scar was really long. reaches above my belly button
Thank you hope mine its going to be a c section to
I wish speedy recovery to you and a successful delivery! ❤️
I had feet swollen mines was a nine hours I have five incision and small c- section scar I’m four days post opp
yeahhh I also experienced swollen feet! I hope that you have recovered well with no complications!
Am I trippin, or am I the only one who didn’t see the scar???
😆Lmao it was a bad shot
Hi Mikayla thank you for sharing❣🥂 Question?! Your bikini cut, was it on your panty line or lower? I couldn't really tell with the photo you provided, I have my surgery on June 28th and I'm very curious about the location of the incision/cut.
Hey! I’m sorry for the photo, I was afraid I was showing a little to much for RUclips lol however my incision is lower than my panty line.
@@MikaylaMJones lol okay. I got it, thank you so much for the reply🤗
@@shicarrawilliam your welcome girl friend!! I’ll be praying for you as you prepare for surgery❤️
Did you get pregnant after this surgery?
No I haven’t.
@@MikaylaMJones why ?
@@meenahari4668 Just like that? Really!
Anyways She meant not yet. She is on TTC journey and won’t be long now. Keep following her story you will get all the answers you need.
@@meenahari4668 You're extremely rude and insensitive!
I had my surgery 3 weeks ago! Your videos helped me so much! They also gave me the courage to go through with it. Now I’m just having trouble with the incision and how it will scar. Although no one else will see it, it bothers me that it’s there bc it looks so ugly right now. 🥲
Omg, I’m so glad my videos have been helping you.. it makes me so happy to hear that😭. I totally understand what you mean about the scar, I think I have talked myself into thinking that I am okay with it because like you said no one will see it but it can be bothersome because YOU know its there. However, that scar just means that you had the courage to go through something that will better you and your health in the long run girlfriend!❤️
I got a question how was moving around i have stairs in my house 😞
@@krystingrant6292I had stairs too and thankfully I had a bathroom upstairs. I’m not sure of your family situation, but in all honesty, mine was ideal as I do not have any kids and I was at my dad’s where he and my brother would come help me. My sister, niece and friends would come over and bring me food. I pretty much prepared every essential you could think of and I didn’t set foot downstairs until it was time for my 3 week checkup. After that I spent another week again and by week 5 and 6 I would go up and down the stairs very slowly. Literally one step at a time.
Last week Monday I went to the hospital for my first dressing after I was discharged and I actually climbed a long flight of stairs. I was tired afterwards but it wasn't painful at all.
