  • ** please excuse the sound hiccups, the Wifi in Kuwait was a bit weaker at this time. Always learning and trying to get better with the podcast and audio. Thank you for understanding!
Jen was on birth control for many years due to pain with her period at a young age. She had bowel issues for as long as she can remember and was diagnosed with IBS and following that when her pain was not going away a kidney infection. Listen to her story and misinformation that her doctor told her. She had back to back surgeries (ablation) three procedures in two years. She did say it did help reduce her symptoms.
She has adenomyosis as well. On her 4th surgery, the doctor sees endo on her bowel. She is not warned about how serious this can be.
She tried six IVF procedures after this surgery.
    Her bowel pain became unbearable.
Listen in to hear her journey.

I am in agony every single day with my endo. Nobody will help me. I'm awaiting a hysterectomy but they've never offered any help otherwise. I'm exhausted and depressed x

I am so sorry to hear this- where are you located? There are a lot of very helpful Facebook groups out there since everyone has different symptoms - a great place to ask questions and find people in your area.
There is one Nancy Nook: facebook.com/groups/418136991574617 great one and they also get feedback from patients on doctors that may be in your area that understand Endo.
There is another group as well: facebook.com/groups/289078084538377
And this article may help in regard to a hysterectomy. nancysnookendo.com/hysterectomy-and-endometriosis/
"A hysterectomy is not a cure for endometriosis; however, many people with endometriosis also experience problems with their uterus or ovaries (such as adenomyosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and other conditions that can contribute to chronic pelvic pain) that could benefit from removal of the uterus and/or ovaries. For example, adenomyosis and endometriosis have been found together anywhere from 21.8% to 79% of the time (Antero et al., 2017; Di Donato et al., 2014; Kunz et al., 2005). Both endometriosis and fibroids have been found together in 12-26% of patients, although one small study found both in 86% of the patients studied (Huang et al., 2010; Nezhat et al., 2016; Uimara et al., 2011)."
Sending love and light and feel free to reach out on Instagram @melisbou in my Dm's if I can help more.

I am in the UK. Our NHS wait lists right now are crazy, and I understand how stretched things are. But I can barely function anymore. I take morphine and Codeine daily. I struggle to be a good mum to my children. I feel like I'm failing every single day. I never knew that an illness could steal so much of who you are. Thank you for the links, and for this video. Sometimes it's just a relief to hear you are not alone x
