My belief is that Satan attacks the Loving ang caring, and that's why this wonderful woman wasn't believed and treated like she was. God bless her.
Lori is the common denominator in all these deaths and Chad was just another tool in her box!
sorry enjoying the chat but what school did she say she attended in winter , I just can't make it out
Thank you so much 🙏
Dr. John, (as a small suggestion for future) - your mic is picking up when you move the base of it. Perhaps put it on a silicone pad or something similar? It is great quality sound, cheers!

This is classic narcissistic abuse that Heather has experienced. Chad used others as "flying monkeys" to persecute Heather because she tried to expose the truth.
Well done Heather for your courage and strength.
I was looking for this comment 👍
Being in demonic LDS church does not help either......
The Whole LDS church just gaslights their followers, especially women & girls. It doesn't surprise me one bit, that in this LDS paradigm, that Heather was probably treated worse than what she is likley telling us...generational trauma through the family & through the church, no wonder ppl get so screwed up....
100%. So painful. And tragic beyond description.
Exactly
What an eye-opener to re-listen to this as his trial starts.
That's what I was thinking too.
Same.
I hope Heather is called to the stand. I’m so ready for it!
@@1notstressedShe’s been subpoenaed by the defense.
And now that we just heard Lori again after 5 years and how sick her mind is STILL...We can see how not only was meeting Lori the Perfect Storm bc "Pretty, Religious, Rich"...Chad also knew Lori was also crazy and that was another plus.
56 minutes in and Heather is showing more empathy and compassion for two children she never even met, than their own mother had. 😢
She is so eloquent and classy. What a great interview.
That chad and lori deserve to be sweating done exactly what they did to tammy and the 2 children
They are so deranged they prob think they sent her kids, Tammy and Charles to a better place. Its so sick.
@@chasnfireflies317no they don't think that, but they will say they do.
they know they murdered them
@Frenchblue8 I've been watching Chad's trial and chatting. Many people have been so grateful to have had Heather's perspective. It has been so helpful, and the more I watch, the more I feel sickened at what they did. I've got two murdered daughters, and I just can't wrap my head around thinking a man and money are worth murdering my children over. Let alone HOW! Those poor, beautiful, priceless children and their spouses. Ugh!
Heather,”the kids are in the yard”.
Matt, “NO chad’s not that stupid.”
Heather: “I think he is”. All the way through this… Heather is the light !!! Thank you Heather❤
I think it is sad they have to remain so close to the horror site due to everything they have put into their property.
I disagree. He’s not stupid. He’s manipulative
Yes she is the light. That’s why they verbally attack her
Ya Heather is in touch with her inner voice. The light or the Lord as it were. He is yelling for people to hear...but they can barely hear a whisper. If it does not line up with scripture it is wrong.
@@annmariedemaio1119 Truthtellers are always the enemy, sadly.
I love that Matt stands by Heather unconditionally.
He would be a fool not to.
Well it's his wife.
He knows his parents are crazy like Chad.
And she is there for him as well. It’s awful.
Mm..wasn't unconditional at times from the sounds of it. Sounds like he learned to stick up for his wife with time. Heather appears to be the glue, but they definitely deserve kudos for working through their marriage together throughout their whole lives with this family mess.
Watched this because she testified at Chad's trial today. She is such an honest, gutsy, powerful woman!!!!
At trial today Heather brought home the bacon for chid to get fried, so to speak. Hearing these interviews before the trial was insightful.
In trial Chad seems emotionless.
What a horrible nightmare!!
Chad is sick. So is Lori.
So many innocent people died.
I was so impressed with her on the stand. Her raw honesty was refreshing after listening to the Daybell children.
Can we just give a shout out to Matt & Heather’s marriage. Something like this could literally destroy a couple’s marriage and it seems they two allowed something so horrific to make them a better couple. I love that!
Let's hope Matt realizes how lucky he is and makes an attempt to grow and become more insightful.
@@JaelHammerNPeg Sounds like he's making the right choices for his family, putting his wife & nuclear family 1st.
I'm so proud of Heather and no, I don't know her. I can only hope and pray that her husband has the strength to stand by her side through all this. God Bless you, Heather! I will follow your journey through this ordeal.
Absolutely!!! Proof that something like this could definitely make or break a marriage. They have faced this storm together and have become stronger together
cool Lady....so sad....but,,,she & Matt are strong
I want to name every wooden spoon I have, Heather. My heart breaks for the intense gaslighting she experienced through all of this. I’m sure the last thing she wanted to be was right. I think she was born a truth-teller and could not stop asking questions even if she tried. Heather, thank you for sharing your truth. You are a woman of true grit and grace. I hope you can feel the love and support this community has for you. You, Ma’am, are a badass.
I agree. Heather is a Hero in all this.

What a lovely comment!❤
Thank you Heather for following your heart and gut when Tammy passed away. You are a blessing.
I 100% get where Heather is coming from. Chad came to her town and turned everyone against her. She is still traumatized and still trying to rebuild her standing in the community. My heart hurts for you. Glad your healing.
The work of a true narcissist who got called out! Destroy the reputation of the other (Heather). Thankful she is alive and well. I imagine her life was in danger to be sure, a threat to Chad.
I just started watching this and was reading the comments. I would think after the whole Chad Daybell thing came out people will be running to her apologizing. If they're not that really says something about the people in that town
@@merricat3025 I believe some have apologized, not enough in my opinion but an apology at this point is hollow. Imagine having to fix a reputation you didn't ruin.
Hi
@@flintangla I watched another video where they interviewed another person from this town. This town is really strange. They cover up a lot. I wouldn't want to live there. After listening that interview I can see why they were nasty to her. There's something wrong with this place. I'm sure there's people that are very nice but there's a very dark undercurrent
The hosts are excellent listeners. They give Heather so much room to talk. It’s refreshing.
Agreed!
absolutely.
they really are!
This is the first time I’ve listened to one of their podcasts and they did an excellent job. They let her tell her story. All of their interjections were very insightful.
I’ve listened to this at least a dozen times. My favorite part is when she tells Matt she thinks the kids are buried in the back yard and Matt says Chads not that stupid. And she says I think he is. 😂😂😂😂
Yes!!
😂😂😂 yup
Heather knew he was a narcissist. That he would keep his trophies close by.
I also laughed when she said something to the effect that Chud was stupid for saying Tammy died of a pulmonary embolism due to a 40lb weight gain, and that if that were the case Chud would have died years ago then she called him a fat ass 😂😂
im on my 3rd time listening. i was wondering if anyone else listened more than once.
I wish Heather would write a book and call it ‘Stirring the Pot’ being a thorn in Chad Daybell’s side.
💯💯💯💯💯
I could write a book about this being me like Heather with my narc inlaws! Lol
Omg love that idea!!!!
A sideways thorn in his A$$ 😂😂😂😂
👏👏👏
I think Matt and Chads choice of spouses made a huge difference. I think Chad is a typical narcissist who indoctrinated his family, isolated them, passively aggressive oppressed Tammy while she did the heavy lifting. And just like a narcissist he discarded her for a new life. Persevering in harming others is the secular worlds definition of evil. Heather is a phenomenal woman and so we’ll spoken within a matrix of deception. God bless her and her family.
Im also pretty sure that Chad told Tammy untruths about Heather to make sure they never become close and therefor - Tammy probably believed that Heather was against her and not to be trusted. This is how narcissists work… they isolate their partner from all angles. It is so so so sad….. Tammy probably felt that she had no one to go to…. She trusted her husband I guess? To a point… but once she started doubting him, she had no one she trusted. Chad made sure of it.
A week ago, Tammy was "just" the deceased wife of a looney tune psycho. After learning about who Tammi was, such a beautiful gentle soul, so intelligent, so compassionate for animals and people, such a decent, kind person, a devoted wife and devoted mother; my heart is breaking, why did she have to be such a beautiful person that he was able to marry? Why couldn't he have been married to a nasty b**** whose murder wouldn't have been as painful to learn about? And at least it would be some compensation to know Chad had had to deal with some kind of abuse and grief from his spouse during the years of his marriage. But no. He got to live decades,a spoiled coddled life being supported by a faithful loving wife. And yet, he was so ungrateful. I guess it's the only consolation that there will ever be; that Chad met Lori and their meeting led to them both having to repay the decades that they lived the lives of which they were so undeserving, by spending the remaining years living in the hell they have created for themselves.
SO TRUE ABOUT CHAD!...NOW LET HIM USE HIS CHARM IN PRISON LOL
I don’t think Heather would have ever gone for Chad, sounds like she was wary of him from the very beginning
@@elainecongo3827
I don't think prisoners like child killers.
He'll end up dead.
Chad is a cowardly wimp!!
I am so impressed with Heather. She is incredibly brave. Telling it straight to church leadership could not have been easy. I hope that more people have apologized to Heather for the way she was treated. In my mind, she's a hero.
Heather is an amazing judge of character. I’m thankful she shared her story with us.
Heather even challenged her LDS church leaders in the position of state headship. She said that she was disappointed that she was not believed & that Chad was believed over her. She told 2 bishops & 2 LDS state presidents about Chad. None of them believed her & she challenged them that they were supposed to have more discernment when they were in this spiritual office/position. She said that she was taught this by the LDS church. Well, I say that Heather has proved that wrong on every point! The woman as got more common sense & honesty that most everyone around her with the exception of her husband Matt. They make a perfect couple. I hope & pray that they survive this horrific nightmare. I feel sorry for Chad Daybell's children too!
She is not. She sounds like a Mary Sue character where everything she did was right. She already knew that Chad did stuff even before de police ? where was her evidence? This interview showed that she has narcissistic traits. Everybody else but her was wrong, what did she want them to do? all of them didn't have any evidence, all they could do was speculate yet she is mad at them when she didn't have evidence also?
@@computeraidedyami 34:10 timestamp makes it clear that it was so much bigger than any of them could've phantomed. Until that time he was just an obnoxious brother in law you'd want to steer clear off.

Shame on Matt's parents for turning against Heather. I get Chad is their son, but to turn on HER is horrific.
Plus one is in jail for murder, the other is not!! Think about it!!
I can understand it. She is seen as the wolf that entered the henhouse, the one who threatened the family. And at least she received apologies.
I agree. I'm sorry they turned on her. Maybe this could have prevented it from happening if WOMEN were not dismissed. At the very least her husband should have supported her. Chad was acting bizarre . To say the church wasn't saying anything to him means they should be opened up to some kind of lawsuit.
As soon as chads mother meet Lori she knew what her son did. She went on defense mode and Heather was the scape goat.
and perhaps they were so torn up that they wanted to blame someone else.
Watching this 3 three part series now during the Chad trial...I seriously love this girl! She is authentic and honest and HILARIOUS. I cannot wait to see her testify.
Yes. She saw through Chad’s BS years ago!!
Well, the wait is well-worth it, because she was a ROCKSTAR at testifying!!!
Is it just me..or is Heather the most self aware..honest..empathetic..strong woman..with a great husband..and she just happens to be beautiful..you've ever seen?
Yes, and Chad is the complete opposite of all those traits. That's why he hates her.
I agree. And she might be glad that that sob didn't bury those kids on their 12 acre property.
And I'll never have anything to do with religion. In my opinion,it's man made and it can be so dangerous.

"asking questions is bad...it means you are a bad person" wow, religion. What a teaching.
Indeed any time anyone tells you that asking questions is bad or wrong....run a mile...and probably call the police.
I noticed how observant and articulate she is. I believe the Daybell family is very fortunate to have her. Her long time dislike of Chad is very telling.
Shes a sister in law, not a biologically related.
I don’t believe Chad “kept himself poor”. I think Chad always wanted to be rich and powerful, but he was a failure at it. So rather than admit he was jealous or bitter or whatever, he pretended this “poor” life was his choice “to stay humble and righteous”.

😮 I do think Charles fellow got his email and text through to Tammy although I think Chad went to her phone and her email and took them off because Charles fellows said he was going to contact her and let her know about chattering Lorie's Affair I really think he did it before he was shot before she was killed
I watched this when it came out and thought I’d watch it again with Chad finally on trial. She’s incredibly aware and smart. Respect 😊
Heather has strong boundaries and good for her. Chad obviously knew she wasn’t going to be manipulated and was his greatest threat because she was respected within her community. It just amazes me how even church leaders were so easily manipulated by Chad but at the same time I just wonder if there is this underlying culture of misogyny. It’s heart breaking to see how much emotional damage Chad has created within his own family.
The Mormon religion started out with polygamy (not too female-centric). From the outside looking in, it tends to favor men in the traditional sense. In other words, it reeks of misogyny.
Patriarchy - old boys network hands down
Men being believed more than women is so deeply disheartening and disempowering for women. Sadly, it has been going on for eons. Patriarchy is not dead. Josh Powell wasn't harmless, either. 🤯 Chad's kids are beyond indoctrinated by Chad n his creepy religious preisthood power. Check it out!
Groupthink is a b*tch. The misogyny intrinsic to that culture (and still to the culture at large) is insidious. Wise women being dismissed while men are routinely privileged. This is a recipe for depression.
Chad had her trapped in his emotional and spiritual beliefs! When someone is evil they are constantly tearing down the weak person mentally and emotionally! Too bad no one was there to help her get away from him!
Tammy was not at all an independent thinker so she was fine with her ignorance and Chad controlling her.
Yeah for the non-Mormons reading this not sitting as a family during Sacrament meeting is a big thing. That's why people noticed and why she mentioned it. To me it says Tammy knew about the affair and she was very alone and hurting.

Heather really resonates with me bc I’m just like her. I’m the scapegoat in my family and was ignored and ostracized bc I was always revealing my doubts about my father and who he REALLY WAS. No one cared to listen and told me just to say away. I revealed what he had done to me when I was a small child and everyone simply hated me. Long story short but I was always blurting the truth. I went total NO CONTACT from my family of origin. Haven’t spoken to anyone for 20 years. Extended family even heard very negative things that was said about me so I was alienated from everyone. This is what these families do. So I understand everything Heather is referring to. This is their MO. God bless you Heather. You’re a courageous woman.

I'm not surprised that they believed Chad over Heather. I went to school in Utah & was horrified by the mormons & their patriarchy and hypocrisy.
The reason her church leaders believed Chad over Heather is because Chad is a man. This happens all the time. 😢 Her story shows how many people's lives are affected/traumatized when crimes like this are committed.
This is exactly what I said in my comment.
Yes, why so many organized RELIGIONS put men ABOVE women. Thank God me and my husband have a personal relationship with Jesus

Heather said that the last family gathering was in June the year everyone was murdered. She said that Tammy was depressed during that gathering. I think it's because she was struggling after she received the email from Charles that informed her that Lori and Chad were having an affair. It's so sad that these two evil people ruined so many lives.
I thought the same
I think they poisoned Tammy first to make her sick
I agree, I think Tammy got that email and read it but didn’t feel she could confront Chad about it because she was so controlled by him. Maybe she thought he was going the way of polygamy with his beliefs. Or that the affair would end and eventually everything would go back to normal. Who knows, I feel so much empathy for Tammy! ❤
They said the email was never opened by her....but....there is always the option to mark an email as unread....she would have blossomed without his oppressive, controlling ways i feel...
@@TeriBeaulieu An IT guy testified that the email was read, deleted, then Charles' email was blocked. However, Chad could have read it then blocked Charles and Tammy could have never seen it. Only Chad knows and he's not telling.
I am fixated by her story. She is so articulate and clear in trying to describe, from her point of view, one of the most complicated crimes.
Bless her for her courage and incredible insight!
Absolutely great posting. Thank you Hidden True Crime. 🙏
I think it speaks volumes about the church culture in Rexburg that Chad was going around telling people they were reincarnated characters from the Book of Mormon with his stolen pendulum, with no church consequences, while Heather is sounding the alarm and no church authorities would listen.
I’m a member of the church and live in a very different area where women are treated with respect, not deference.
The fact that Heather can stay in Rexburg shows what a stable and logical person she is. I hope the church leadership over there feel the weight of their patriarchal shortsightedness on the regular.
Had they shut Chad down when thy should’ve I think there might’ve been a different outcome. One reason Chad got away with so much was because he was able to hide behind his church membership as being in good standing.
With five people ending up being dead. Lots of questions to ask and lots of answers needed.
From what I understand, Charles tried to get a bishop to intervene at least once, if not 2x. He told the bishop about the zombie theories from her when he was met by the police when Lori was reported for stealing his truck & keys & payroll money (she accused him of infidelity & of being pissessed by "Ned Schneider").
At this time, Charles requested a psych eval because of the zombie theory & bcz she threatened his life. My impression is that she denied the zombie theory at that time....
When Charles died, I think he was trying to coordinate an intervention for Lori but he was sabotaged.
I wish Charles had a bishop with him the day he died. There was one with him on the day Lori lied to the authorities about believing in zombies 😭
Thank you so for this information and this interview i have wondered about what his family was thinking his kids probably knows hes quilty but just doesnt want to admit it with all the evidence there is no doubt he is invoved with all of this i dont beleive chad is as delusional about his quilt as he is letting on for one hes asking to take the death penalty off his case because it wasnt on for lori to me that speaks volumun he knows exacactly what they both done im am so glad the trial is finally here and he will get justice for tammys murder and those beautiful kids i think chad just didnt want the kids is why he said they were dark and zombies he wanted lori for hisself such a horrible man so sorry for the family both familys

When you get a 3 part interview to tell YOIR side you should be able to do that without judgement. HD is a an important factor to this case! Especially when Chad literally blamed HD as being dark and trying to turn people against him even tho he was turning people against her! HD you are amazing and we appreciate your side of the story. You weren’t stirring the pot you were questioning the system. Thank you for sharing!
This is so powerful. My heart goes out to Heather. I appreciate her bravery, honesty and vulnerability. This gave us a lot of insight and I hope it helps Heather to have talked about everything, that maybe she can heal. I would have been asking questions, too. She did the right thing.
Every time Heather hears “I didn’t believe you” she should hear “I didn’t WANT to believe you, I didn’t WANT to believe someone of the LDS faith could be a monster”. Great interview @hidden true crime
Why was Chad's kids soooo acceptable towards their dad getting married 3 weeks after his wife of 30 years just died 🤔 I think Chad's kids are as delusional as their sick dad 😡
If they grew up in an abusive home they were told to obey or else....!
Also denial is a very strong defence mechanism!
I grew up in a dysfuctional family although not as dysfuctional as this.
I have an idea how screwed up a dysfuctional family can make you!
This was a father who was willing to kill their mother to get what he wanted. They had to know that on some level if they crossed him they could be next.
The father is a delusional, wannabe cult leader. The children were undoubtedly brainwashed. Their poor mother bought into the garbage Chad spouted. Their fantasy book of religion told them their roles as chattel and they obeyed. I honestly hope they get the help they need and if they feel the need for religion, that they find something less constricting.
They were brainwashed to numbness.
I agree
Heather, I've been in a slightly similar situation that left me traumatized. I'll just say that I can hear the trauma in you that I've experienced myself. Not only did this happen to you, but it happened very publicly. I wish you peace and healing.
I hope that Heather and her family find peace, kindness and acceptance from their community, it’s over due.
OMG. I just got to the part where Chad's parents found out Chad remarried, talked to their other son, (Matt - Heather's husband, Chads brother) because he called upon finding out, and then started complaining about Heather. WOW. That says a lot. Poor Matt has to feel like he's living in the upside down.
Matt's parents are in denial Bad!!!
Total respect Heather. I wonder how Tammy's siblings and parents are coping wishing them healing and strength too. Found myself thinking of Zak Cox, Summer Cox and Colby Ryan too. The chaos pain and loss Chad and Lori are responsible for are so deep and widespread its hard to comprehend. I admire you, Heather. Thank you for sharing and I hope you and your family continue to enjoy your home.
And the Vallow family, brother and children of Charles. Those boys were lied to about their fathers murder, strung along deceitfully and stolen from. Torture for them and their young hearts and minds. ❤
@@shewill8618 So true. Did you see the interviews with Charles's brother some time back, another family grieving and startled by the wickedness of Chad and Lori's crimes. Sometimes the current due process and procedural concerns of the Court seem to mask and neutralize the sheer horror and vindictiveness of their crimes. I'm sure Heather's tears tonight at the memory of how Chad and Alex mutilated Tylee and JJ were widely shared tonight. I hope Chad and Lori are fully held to account for their actions. How can they smile and smirk in Court? Where is the remorse? Completely souless and selfish in my view.
@@redsquirrel5501 Yes, I watched it. Vindictive. Perfect word to describe THEIR selfish horrific actions. Where is GOD's plan in that? There isn't.
I’m blown away by your guest (and your respectful way to let her speak) in so many ways… not only her wisdom and integrity, which is off the charts, but also the way she’s telling her story. She remembers things and talks more about that but then she’s right back to where she left off and continues. I don’t understand how she’s able to keep this extremely complicated story straight and tell it in a way that makes us all get it. And the poise - she’s not bashing anyone, even though she’s basically been bullied by others for years (because she was a truthteller/seer) - she doesn’t try to get even, she tries to be fair to everyone, she reflects about herself and her thought and actions (like when she heard what others talked about Tammi at the funerals - she didn’t just brushed it all off as BS, she was open minded and came to the conclusion that she and her family hadn’t been shown that side of Tammy for a reason).
I so admire ppl like this. That stand up and have integrity and grace in doing so. We need more ppl like you. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️
We agree with your assessment of Heather. This is what we notice, and admire about her so much.
@@HiddenTrueCrime ❤️
Well if Chad had always “hated” Heather…Chad indoctrinated his family to feel the same way. No wonder Heather and her children never saw a nicer friendlier version of Tammy. Tammy probably would have been punished by Chad if Tammy had so much as a pleasant conversation with Heather. Chad had zero self esteem. There is no way he could have tolerated a friendship between Tammy and Heather.
I really like her to and wl love to have her as my friend....
Thank you Heather Daybell for sharing your story with us. I'm so very deeply sorry for what your family is going thru. I am not LDS. I am a Christian and I pray GOD'S protection, peace and mercy on you all.
That was very kind.😊
1st 1oqq
I’m so glad you guys chuckled about “What are they seeing that I am not seeing (in Chad)! I look and want to almost gag! You guys helped me by making me realize I’m NOT the ONLY ONE! Thank you!
Chad = Captain Cupcake
😅😅 your comment made me laugh , its so true
I just have to say thank you to Dr. John and Lauren interviewing Heather Daybell. And for her having the courage to share publicly her experience. This gives me and others the first "real" taste of what really is part of the wider spectrum of family involved from the Daybell side. I know this must have been very hard. Heather you did an awesome job! Thank you for being a woman who asks questions! Thank you for letting us have a glimpse of what you and Matt and family are suffering. We pray for you for strength, tenacity, peace and healing as the case moves forward. God bless you! Dr. John and Lauren your respect, input and genuine authenticity for Heather and this case has been and is hands down a rare and refreshing reality!
I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this! She’s so well spoken. Thank you Heather for having the strength to speak out from the beginning!
I love how Heather is so focused and remembering every detail . This was great. If Heather has t wrote a book, she should.
Thank you to Heather for opening up about what she knows about Chad. I am so very sorry that people have misplaced their feelings of frustration and anger and blamed her--at least initially. Heather is a beautiful, strong woman, inside and out. I pray for her. I also pray for the Daybell family to be able to be honest with themselves about Chad, difficult as it would be. My heart aches for Chad’s children because they can’t bring themselves to believe that their dad murdered their mom. Thank you to Hidden True Crime for covering this. Lauren asks the hard questions and Dr. John’s excellent explanations and input.
Heather is the GOAT. She provided a lot of insight into the Daybell family dynamic. She also demonstrated that Chad is a skilled manipulator. She was right all along. She had no idea he would do something like this but she always had a bad feeling about him which proved to be correct. Heather if you’re reading this keep being awesome! You rock!
She knew, she knew ..what an amazing, intuitive woman, unfortunately you can't prove something based on your intuition.
Truly the dark ones are in jail and I pray they never see the light of day to hurt anyone else ever again. To think of all the damage done and people not believing Heather is just beyond belief. Thank you for this interview. Looking forward to the trial, finally put away and the families can finally get some closure. Thank you Lauren and Dr. John💕
I honestly feel like there are more dark people related to this who should also be in jail!
What's so sad is the tragic trauma that Kay and Larry will continue to live through. Watching Larry cry and plead for JJ and Tylee's bodies to be released so they can get closure and let those beautiful children rest in peace. They want the ability to give the kids a proper burial and only then will they get some relief and closure. The constant delays in the trial are seriously affecting these two beautiful people.
All respect to Heather for standing strong through all of this. Too bad she's had to go through this horrible ordeal.
The truth cuts like a knife and your truth was a big one. When this story broke, many could see the writing on the wall. Thank you for speaking your truth, Heather. You are and never were alone.
On the rewatch. So much information ❤
My heart goes out to Heather, Matt and their family. Heather, you are such a strong and courageous woman! I hope you all can heal as much as you can from this very traumatic horrible event. Thank you, John and Lauren, thank you. This must be so difficult to cover. Take care
Great interview- thank you to the interviewers for allowing Heather to share her story without interruption, and to Heather for eloquently providing perspective and insights from inside the Daybell family. She reminded us of the hidden victims of a crime - the innocent loved ones of the perpetrators, who, through no fault of their own, are impacted greatly by this evil act. It's interesting how they feel (undeserved) guilt and remorse that is never shown or expressed by the perpetrators themselves!
Heather Daybell has done an extremely awesome review of the Daybell family!!! I believe she’s been very truthful and I think it’s much better than the actual trial!!! Thank you so much Heather!!!!!
I am so glad you gave Heather a voice and a venue from which to tell the absolute unvarnished truth goes out to her. How many lives did Lori and Chad wound? Dozens. Hundreds. This is one of the worst stories I've ever heard.
😮 to Matt's mother trying to turn it around on Heather.
And now I'm bawling my eyes out hearing that she apologized.
Ugh. This whole family. My heart breaks for everyone involved.
I'm so sorry.
Narcissistic parenting produces narcissist. Totally makes sense mother in law immediately tried to turn it on Heather.
From what Heather told about Chad's birth family dynamic,
She told that in the beginning of the first episode,
It seems Chad's father was the
abuser though and the mother was the abused!
Heather also said that Chad and Matt's mother apologized but his dad never did!
What a great podcast 👏.
It's a shame the five kid's don't realize what a great aunt & uncle they have , and were only concerned about the suspicious death of their Mom.
It seems they didn't have much of relationship with their aunt and uncle so to them they we not that great!
This was more than an excellent video.
The three of you talked so naturally back and forth. All of this information reigns everything in and explains so much of how everything transpired.
What an extraordinary interview!
I am so grateful for this insight into the unfolding development of Chad Daybell’s delusions and plots.
This is an unparalleled view from an intelligent, circumspect and remarkable woman.
Dr John’s professional and deeply compassionate insight illuminate us all.
I feel privileged to have be able to be present to this view into the development of one of the most horrific and tragic series of murders (allegedly)of our new century.
Heather if your church could think his beliefs were ok, it would be my signal to really look at the Mormon church and their belief system. Heather you are a brave strong woman. I’m sorry for what your family has been through .😢
Agreed! I wish every member of the Mormon church would read the Bible cover to cover 3 times without looking at their Book of Mormon, so they could see how many contradictions there are to what Jesus taught. The LDS church is a cult created by Joseph Smith. Jesus NEVER told us to look for another “prophet” and in fact warned us to be aware of people like him.
@@nothingbutthetruth7554 agree 100%
It’s too bad you all did not watch the video. She says several times: a) those people were excommunicated, and b) she is no longer part of the LDS.
@@justkiddin84 well just kidding. I did watch the whole video. She was practicing during the time this stuff was being preached or presented, I would have signals that something wasn’t right a long time ago.
@@loriwhinery3210 we don’t know what we would know or feel. She was trying pretty early on to tell folks that his ‘beliefs’ were off. I think she was doubted, because she is a woman. She is no longer a believer.
So glad for a part two! I could listen to Heather all day.
This is an incredible interview everyone should see. Heather is an amazing human and a ball of light in such a dark story.
Agreed 100%
One of the things that makes me so angry at Char and Lori is how many innocent lives they affectively ruined or destroyed. Really, think about all of the people their selfish, lustful actions have affected. I feel so bad for Heather and Matt. I cant imagine having to go through this.
This interview should win awards, several. So well done. I plan to listen to it again, perhaps a few more times. I have followed this case from the beginning. There hasn’t been any other creator (s) who has matched “Hidden True Crime” in covering the full extent of the horrific, unbelievable and devastating outcomes of the actions of Chad and Lori Daybell, Great work by you two! Thank you!
All the people that Chad and Lori inflicted this horrific pain on.....This is such a tragedy....
She has more sadness, compassion and empathy for children she has never met than their own murderous mother does. I'm so sorry for Matt and for Heather and what Chad has done to their family and Tylee and JJ's family.
I truly think Heather is lucky to be alive. Chad had his sights on her but held back because of timing or whatever.
Heather found the truth about him marrying Lori after the fact. Chad was in Hawaii! Heather was in the U.S. She did verbally challenge him. I think that Chad found her to be a formidable person. Chad probably figure that if Heather asked him what happened to his wife, then she's already been talking to her own husband & who knows what has been discussed. Chad might have suspected that if he's in Hawaii that he can make the cover story continue to work for himself & Lori.
I was thinking the same thing. Her life was probably in danger!
Heather is a remarkable human being 💖 everyone need someone like her in their lives.
💯
I'm pretty sure she is Latina
I’m so glad Sheila apologized. And in front of the men.
Just seeing these interviews. So amazing of Heather to say it like it is/was. Finally there seems to be a normal family member who's not drinking the cool aide!
Heather is totally right that Chad gave Lori what she was looking for spiritually and Lori gave Chad what he was looking for sexually. It was a perfect storm and it really was that simple. Two narcissists met, they took what they wanted, and murdered anyone who got in the way. It's a tragedy.
Thank you, Heather for sharing your story. I hope that you and your family find peace, healing, and happiness.
Social media like this now draws u deeper into events and makes u realize how many different people and how profoundly people are affected by such tragedies.
Your bravery and inner strength are inspiring. So sorry for the loss, the heart ache, and the trauma you've all endured.
God bless you Heather. You can feel how hard you were trying to open peoples eyes. Your gut was right. God bless your strength, and that you and your husband have stuck together through all this.
I've only just found these interviews now which I'm surprised about because I've really followed this case (from ireland) since the children were first reported to the media missing, but I'm so glad I found this channel. I really like Heather, I think she did a great job telling her story with class without coming across "gossipy" I think she must of put up with alot from her inlaws but still speaks gracefully about them telling us just enough that we need to know. I really hope she has healing because what Chad and Lori have done is still awfully traumatic for her even as an inlaw
Thank you Heather, it's uncomfortable opening up and being vulnerable to a broad audience, much respect to you.
I am relieved to learn that both you and Matt are solid in your marriage, that together you are growing stronger and your children have a committed, healthy set of role models.
No-one would ever wish this devastation upon a family, multiple families in fact, and your clarity in framing this awful ongoing experience shines through, you certainly have done the work and i wish to acknowledge how clearly it shows.
I'd choose you as a lunch date girlfriend, and a hangout bbq family friend, you have integrity, honesty and humble vulnerability with a touch of fierceness that shines.
Again, thank you.
( as always HTU, your sensitivity shows😉)
Waving from waaaay over here, Lauren and John ❤️
I so agree, Lee. Heather, I believe you are a brave woman and Matt is obviously a good man. Prayers to you & your family for continued unity, Peace and Love! 🎇
Indeed respect - makes you really think what happens to the family members of those who commit violent acts- ripple effects

Lots of class integrity sincerity compassion and wisdom ....would b honoured to know Heather
