It is possible to care about how Lori feels and to feel grief and outrage over the loss of the children at the same time. Plenty of people love their family members that are in prison and also grieve for their victims. Life is not one dimensional. SHe also lives by the scriptures very literally - Jesus says "Love your neighbor" NOT "Love your neighbor unless they do something bad."

In the mormon faith, they believe that when you leave this world, you are remade flesh and soul together in the next life. They have a very strong fascination with that, even beyond regular Christians. My guess is this has to do with her faith. She thinks the kids are gone; this may be her way of coping with that. I appreciate her strength to remain peaceful in this time. That is a tougher road to walk than one of anger.
The interviewer did a great job! He allows her to talk and fully develop her thoughts without interrupting, yet he asks prompting questions to keep it fluid. Yep, I like him. I like him a lot :-)

I disagree he often gives her answers & excuses she shld be saying without prompting. I think he doesn’t want her to look bad but that’s not an interviewers job.
I appreciate Nate’s work in this interview. He knows the case, the timeline. He asks the questions that beg to be asked. He doesn’t let her incomplete answers lay. And he gives her the time to answer. I also appreciate that this interview isn’t chopped up by dramatic music and voiceovers or cuts to other footage.

She speaks as if she has now achieved a real pinnacle of spiritual understanding, after going through her trials with this whole nightmare. But you see few tears or any heartfelt emotion. How can you fully embrace what has happened, knowing how close you were to it, and not sob? I think there is a real disconnect in this woman between what she studies and the magnitude of the horror and sorrow this has caused for so many people.

I think that is kind of the point though. She is not stable and definitely is very gullible and forgiving. She's being very kind to Lori, a former friend, but has just said in her 3 interviews, in great detail, that Lori basically had Alex kill people for her, including the kids, and Lori & Chad wanted certain people out of the way so they could be together. Julie Geer Unfortunately until Tammy died the police had nothing to act on, even if they had been told it was being said she would die. It's not a crime to say you predict someone is going to die & then they do die. It would only be a crime if that predictor actually caused her death somehow, so even now that she has died, they have to prove she was actually killed & didn't just coincidentally die of natural causes, which is what they're trying to do.

H Bug oh sorry I should have been more clear, I wasn’t trying to say he was right, but I can see how it looks like I did. What I should have said was, he said Tammy was going to die and then she did, most likely at his hands, but his followers didn’t know that at the time, so to them it may have looked like he was right and was truly getting visions. Then he could use that to manipulate them more. I also believe that he managed to manipulate Lori that way, because he kept making sure his ‘visions’ came true, so when he said that JJ (and probably Tylee too) had turned into a zombie Lori was more likely to believe it. One of the first things that Chad said to Lori when they met was that they’d been married to each other in many former lives, I think he was attracted to her and started manipulating her from the outset. They’re both absolutely sick, but after watching these interviews I truly believe Chad is the reason those two children are no longer alive.

I’ve been thinking there was a chance they were still alive until she explained Tylee’s personality is strong willed and that she could make a phone call. My heart sank.
She has mentioned twice how difficult JJ is to handle. He is by all accounts mercurial, unpredictable and highly emotional. He hasn’t had his medication for many months. Not only would he be too much for Tylee to handle but he would be very noticeable in almost any setting. Remember, Lori told Charles that she didn’t want the kids. Her new life didn’t have a place for a headstrong daughter and a special needs son.
If any of us were in her shoes - we would feel for everyone in the situation the same as she does. She knew these people.....she was close to Lori & loved her very much. I think it is easy to Judge her comments but she lived & is living this. I don't hear anything from her but kindness, tolerance & overwhelming confusion as to how this all could have went so left in the end.
From what I heard they did. And one of the daughters was even seen making faces behind a news reporter at her mother’s grave site. I think they believe their dad in this stuff and think their mom was supposed to die.

That is known as obstruction and interfering with an investigation - it's a misdemeanor, but nonetheless, a crime. They could absolutely arrest him for that. My guess is because that is so small it's not worth it and that could possibly harm their case. They aren't going to find the bodies of Tylee and JJ, they are gone. I think Alex took care of Tylee in the hot acid springs in Yellowstone and as far as JJ, I haven't a clue. But, the police will lie like a RUG to try and get a suspect to admit to things. I think police are just being super careful as to not ruin their case.

In the mormon faith, they believe that when you leave this world, you are remade flesh and soul together in the next life. The interviewer did a great job! He allows her to talk and fully develop her thoughts without interrupting, yet he asks prompting questions to keep it fluid. Yep, I like him. I like him a lot :-)

How anybody could screw up their life and the lives of others...just so she could be with a man. And she talked a lot of about the children and how terrible it is that Lori may have (nothing's proven, even tho we all know, by now) done something to her poor kids, whom she was suppose to love and protect, but instead had murdered b/c they were "in the way." It IS sad.

It is very strange. I have not been in her shoes, thank God, and I truly don't know how I'd feel or what I'd do if I was. I believe Jesus would want her to practice forgiveness and to have an attitude of compassion and kindness towards all people, even sinners. It had to be an incredibly difficult situation, I can't even imagine.

Melanie is very, very smart to NOT make outright accusations, however evident but are not proven...that's why she's only saying just so much. I'm sure she was advised by legal counsel and is actually very brave to be saying what the truth is...which is way more than Lori's niece, sister, and mother are willing to do.

Julie Geer Unfortunately until Tammy died the police had nothing to act on, even if they had been told it was being said she would die. It's not a crime to say you predict someone is going to die & then they do die. It would only be a crime if that predictor actually caused her death somehow, so even now that she has died, they have to prove she was actually killed & didn't just coincidentally die of natural causes, which is what they're trying to do.

What I should have said was, he said Tammy was going to die and then she did, most likely at his hands, but his followers didn’t know that at the time, so to them it may have looked like he was right and was truly getting visions. Then he could use that to manipulate them more. I also believe that he managed to manipulate Lori that way, because he kept making sure his ‘visions’ came true, so when he said that JJ (and probably Tylee too) had turned into a zombie Lori was more likely to believe it.
One of the first things that Chad said to Lori when they met was that they’d been married to each other in many former lives, I think he was attracted to her and started manipulating her from the outset. They’re both absolutely sick, but after watching these interviews I truly believe Chad is the reason those two children are no longer alive.

Her use of passed on and not on this planet seem her natural, normal way of speaking. They are the result of her religious beliefs and her continued attraction, in some wya that is inexplicable to me, to Chad and Lori. There are certainly other examples of language she used in this interview that are disconcerting.

I continue to be amazed, and feel sick to my stomach also, by how she keeps seeing them as victims. The real victims "were good people who passed away" (she literally never says 'murdered' in the whole interview!!!) and they are poor passionate people, misled by false doctrines, who had their dreams crushed. She has mentioned twice how difficult JJ is to handle. He is by all accounts mercurial, unpredictable and highly emotional. He hasn’t had his medication for many months. Not only would he be too much for Tylee to handle but he would be very noticeable in almost any setting. Remember, Lori told Charles that she didn’t want the kids. Her new life didn’t have a place for a headstrong daughter and a special needs son.

@@cynthiarentfrow4481 He CALLED Melanie Gibb and told her to LIE to police when they called....that's what sealed the deal with her KNOWING something had happened to the children and that she knew she had to speak with police after that. That is known as obstruction and interfering with an investigation - it's a misdemeanor, but nonetheless, a crime. They could absolutely arrest him for that. My guess is because that is so small it's not worth it and that could possibly harm their case. They aren't going to find the bodies of Tylee and JJ, they are gone. I think Alex took care of Tylee in the hot acid springs in Yellowstone and as far as JJ, I haven't a clue. But, the police will lie like a RUG to try and get a suspect to admit to things. I think police are just being super careful as to not ruin their case.
