  • What are your thoughts? Would you buy something like this in September? Why not just get a K1C?
The K1 SE is not currently available in the US, but you can find the K1C and every other Creality flagship printer on Creality's website here: shareasale.com...
For anyone that uses a lot of PLA+ or PLA+ Pro and wants a good deal, Fremover always has good prices, and they're the main PLA filament I have used since I started my 3d printing journey. You can save another 3% at checkout with the promo code MAXIMALIST: fremover.net/d...

I think at that price that makes absolutely no sense, but this is Creality we're talking about. They release 139 variations of every printer with prices all over the place because there might be three extra people who are looking for that very specific combination of things and they're perfectly happy confusing everyone for the sake of capturing a little tiny bit more Market segment.

Idk why people talk shit about it, I think it's a great option for people like me who love corexy but never print with anything other than PLA & PETG.

Hopefully it works well for you! For anyone not in that very specific situation, the reason we're making fun is it's a much less functional machine for essentially the same price. If Creality wants to sell a product like this and not get roasted, they need to cut the price a lot (like the P1P vs the X1C) or they need to make some improvement. Otherwise, we might as well buy K1s and take the panels off.

I like the open source marketing of it. Its like the ender 3 in that it was good at first but fan be upgraded to be an absolute monster over time. 382 usd after tax on Amazon is great! I only print in petg.

more regurgitated nonsense. I wish the bigger companies would just stick to making the printers currently available the best they can be instead of making 10 versions of the same printer.

That's the only way they can sell, through hype and fear of missing out. All of a sudden, youtubers showing off their new toys. After awhile, its not worth it anymore, cant cut prices, and no one is interested. Unfortunately, they all copy each other because they can't innovate.

My God how many printers is reality going to release? The more SKUs you have the harder it is to maintain.

I might buy one if it was sub $300 like $299.00 or less. I have an enclosure coming for my solvo 8. I prefer printers with closed in units like my 2 K1 which are my work horse for abs and asa

This doesn't make any sense, its not even close to the price point of the Flashforge 5m... I have had 3 K1 printers, returned every one of them... I have had my 5m, not one single issue, just prints (don't believe the crap about the build plate, just wash it with a quality dishwashing liquid and apply some elmer's purple school glue ( this protects the build plate from PETG and TPU and makes PLA just stick!)

  • @MrPenguinLife
    @MrPenguinLife 2 месяца назад +3

As a K1 owner I can see this for those people that only want to print PLA and don't need an enclosure. Sure it is only 20-25% cheaper than a standard K1C, but think of people wanting to put K1's into print farms, this is in effect buy 4 get 1 free.

The price difference here so far is less than 10%, but I'm sure they'll increase the gap, so this is a fair point!

As a k1 owner, nope. Unless they've fixed everything wrong the k1. The k2 is already out. Its better to wait for newer corexy printers to hit the market. Without the panels, holding the frame together, its going to be a lot less rigid, and the k1 shakes itself a lot.

  • @knc0512

For that price point I'll stick to my Flash Forge Adventurer 5m ($299 In the US), it prints flawless for my needs. I came from Creality bed slinger printers and will never look back. Not sure why all the hype behind the K1 series.

  • @theVariedLife

Creality has problems - with the K1C they advertised an "all metal extruder" but the reviewers that Creality sent machines to found it was not all metal but mostly plastic. So the claim of 1,000 hours of clog free use is bogus but they still use that claim. Funny how they changed the info on their own website about the extruder but on their Amazon page they still advertise as having an "all metal extruder". Also other problems or the lack of transparency doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. I can't trust Creality and I won't buy any Creality machines because how can I trust what they say? What about all the people that bought printer because of the all metal extruder? Were they compensated in some way or given an apology? Nope. Total silence. Yea Creality is off my list of companies I would buy from, but thats just me.
