- It's with great excitement that we reveal progress made on our very own project bike, the INFO MOTO Triumph Speed Twin Super Build. Fresh from the paint shop we today took it for its first ride with its new upgrades. Watch the full reveal video here...
For those not up to date, we began this project with a stock Triumph Speed Twin, as we look to build our ideal modern Brit twin.
While we have no real complaints with the standard machine, we wanted to see just how special we could make it. First up, we installed Ohlins suspension - the front-end taken from the previous generation Triumph Speed Triple, and the rear pinched from a Thruxton R.
The fine folks at Verex built the exhaust, which along with an air intake upgrade, allowed us to gain nearly 10 horsepower. We also fitted a variety of exterior touches from Triumph's accessories catalogue, mirrors and indicators from a Rocket 3 cruiser, and aftermarket upgrades like Evotech levers, a custom seat, Arton Works instrument faces, a tail tidy and radiator guard, among other touches.
Not to be forgotten is the complete red, white and black INFO MOTO paint scheme on the tank and side panels.
The bike managed a healthy 98hp (72kW) and 117Nm on the dyno, as we near our goal of 110 horsepower with a cam upgrade and ECU tune. Can we achieve it? Stay tuned.

Where is the follow up on this? 7 months?
The sound on that thing is just insane. Sick. In the best way.
"Nothing in moderation, everything in excess". Haha love it!
the paintwork and hump seat are a dream
Wo wow woooo !! That Sound !! Beautiful Job !
Very beautiful looking bike, the seat is great, all in all awesome speed twin !! Good job done so far !! Congrats 👏!
looks and sounds fabulous!!! well done
Finally it's out! Keep it up guys! 🔥
Look forward to the end result, that "NOTE"😁😎👍👍🏍🏍🚓 awesome for sure.
What a massive difference in this bike its stunning, and sounds awesome as he'll too LOVE it
Love it. Just freaking LOVE IT!!!😳🤩💪
Love that sound, but the neighbours might kill me 😂
Only a 6 in the morning 😅
That is a beautiful piece of work. I love my 2019 speed twin in the red and black but the paint on this one is just on another level.
That Triumph looks and sounds amazing, badass
That sounds amazing!
amazing job, its beautiful and the sound is godly 🎉😂
That's is an absolute monster and I'm all for it
Excellent mate.
😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩 what a beautiful maschine!! And the sound!! Would buy it!
Looks and sounds amazing, the best modded speed twin I have seen so far, and will take something really special to beat it!
Thanks for saying so mate, we love it
@@INFO_MOTO credit where it's due! I'm hoping to do a special custom modded bike when time and funds allow, if I can get in the same ball park as you guys, I will be very happy!
I had an 02 SV650 that i fixed up. Intake, carb and exhaust mods amongst others. Was an absolute hoot to ride.
That bike is awesome well done 👍
Absolutely lovely…!!
Looks awesome 😎 Great work 🍻
Cheers Dave 🤘
Incredible! I’m on the heals of locating just the right one to build up a bit. Generally find many with super low mileage. For example under 1k. Strange to me but that’s what I look for. Sold my HD bobber pictured in my emoji for a 2000 BMW R1100S. It’s been great experiencing Germany tech., old as it is. Fast forward two short years, time to try the Brit-Twin…can’t wait til spring 2023…likely won’t. Cheers mate!
Love that Speed Twin ❤ ....it's my next bike! 😍👌
Sheesh that thing sounds ferocious. If I get a speed twin I’d do the exact same thing.
Beautiful
Absolutely awesome looking Trumpy! InfoMoto smashed it! Quality Tasmanian Verex Exhaust sounds insane, paint job very clean & custom, quality suspension, so many details! This is going to become Spencer’s road weapon! Pride of place at HQ🥇 Great stuff guys🇦🇺✅
WTF is a Trumpy ?
@@nishiki7047 Nickname for Triumph
Cool bike 🏍
Love the jacket Spence 👍👍
I love it. I’m on the fence, buying a speed twin! If this was on the market. It would be mine! Nice.
Awesome 🇬🇧😍👍🇬🇧
Looks great I think you've sold me one
Love what you’ve done I’ve just got to live with 2019 red speed twin unfortunately not deep enough pockets 😢😎👌🇬🇧 Fred
managed 106hp and 88lb of torque , full Verex and K&N and a tune with PC5 on my 2022 speedy
Love that jacket
What is the jacket?
Absolutely love it, the look is great, the sound of the Verex exhaust, is awesome & would love to have that on my Speed Twin, is the exhaust system road legal for UK roads ?? Would I gain or loose power if i was to fit one. Ohlins suspension looks great too. Beautiful machine, well done. Prefer the 1st seat to the last one by the way.
This bike is perfect, tastefully done. I have a 2019 Speed Twin and have been looking into suspension upgrades. Do the forks from the Speed Triple 1050 just bolt on or did it take some modification to make it work?
Great looking, brilliant sound😮 would like to order same exhaust, are they the shorties?
Just bought one of these and ya know, I'm fine with my bike stock. Except for adding side bags.
Man I want one
Very beautiful bike, im looking to pick one up here in the us, what two seats did you have and did you ever go 2 up on them and if so how were they.
Awesome mods on that Speed Twin! Where in Oz are you guys based?
Maybe a set of floating Brembo rotors and a set of Kineo wheels?
Beautifull Beautifull .
That sound wow :)
The seat is it confortable ? where can i get it ?
Amazing,
Beautiful beast!! Where did you source that seat from?
So what happened? What about the tune? The cam? Left hanging... but bike was awesome at this last stage.
I noticed the Ohlins shocks have different springs than what they had in the previous video when you had them on the table with other parts you were going to install. Please tell us what you did there.
Did you buy the full suspension setup for front or only changed the inner cartridge?
I effing love it! What about an x pipe?
Sounds and looks great they should all be built like this stock. I own a 2019 thruxton r and have the same exhaust on mine plus a few other mods, like an x pipe k&n air filter. Haven’t Dino tested it but I’m sure it’s well over 100hp.
They really should just release a speed twin rs version
How did it do on the dyno after the tune??.
And did you dyno it after the cam went in, and what figures did it pull??.
So do the new forks fit in the existing yokes?
Bike looks terrific. Very nice work. Personally I like the solo seat better than the second one and the bike is too loud. Lots of systems these days provide a nice sound without going crazy on the decibels.
Fair play, we have some silencers that we'll likely install to cut some of the volume.
Sounds loud and proud!!!!!!❤
Where did you have that seat made? Can it be purchased online or only by order?
Where did the seat come from? Mine is a butt killer. And how to tune these so I get full power?
Did you straight pipe it? It has that fish tank bubble pop sound at idle.
Nice build!
Link to the seat please
Hey infomoto, where can we buy one of these? So awesome
What did you do to the air intake?
Where is this bike? Updates?
What a bike!! Where do I get one!? ;)
What’s the latest HP numbers? Is there a follow up video?
Subscribed on account of this video as fellow Speed Twin owner. Looking fantastic so far. Who's the manufacturer and model of the replacement seat at the end of the video??
Hey mate, that seat is by a mob called Crafton Atelier.
Can you pease tell me whereto got the instrument bezels
98 HP, standard for the 22/23 model in the UK.
Time for EP4 with and an update with the bike Tuned!
Coming soon mate!
F ING AWESOME!!!
I would love to know more about adapting the forks. Did you need to modify axle or triple trees to make things fit?
I’m also wondering the benefit of the Speed Triple forks over the Thruxtons
@@jackgilchrist6344 think st forks are adjustable.
Hey Steve, the new forks were a straight swap. Pretty easy.
Thanks for the feedback and the question, had the same thought, which speed triple generation forks did you use, model year?
EDIT: use 2019 MY, also has 43mm front forks but as described with ohins nix 30
More power.
We're on the case, Ken.
@@INFO_MOTO ?????? what happened??
what cam?
You featured two different saddles. Was the first one or the second one the Crafton Artelier ?
The second one mate
Why not start with a thruxton r and just change the bars?
Faltou colocar um guidão tommaselli condor aí.....🤷♂️
The 1200cc is a good one. Triumph has made small improvements over the years from my 2016 Thruxton R. I added a cam, ecu tune and slip on I'm at 101 rwhp over my stock 86 rwhp.
As a stocker it ran 132 mph at Bonneville with a 12.0 ET in the quarter mile at 2900 feet altitude. With the mods and aerodynamics I ran 151.3 mph at Bonneville in 2021 with a density altitude of 6900 feet and 11,6 ET at the drag strip corrected to 11.261.
The motors will pull a lot of gearing, up to an 18/37 combination.
Too loud for me, and those horses seem pretty damned expensive.
Curious as to how the power is delivered, higher up the rev range?
Has it come at the expense of low end pull?
Too loud and expensive........I don't know when I got old, but it certainly seems to have stuck.
😏
What’s the final HP spec?
You could still go TTS supercharger with 140+ HP.
Intrigued to know how your going to tune the bike, gen 2 versions are reported as having a locked ecu and no compatibility with Power commander?
We reckon we've found a way around it. Where there's a will, there's a way!
@@INFO_MOTO Well if you can do it, I have a pc5 on my gen 1 that's been on a dyno for a custom map and it's a different bike entirely, + 8bhp peak and similar torque with standard exhaust and decat. So smooth compared.
@@ianfunnell8076 Hell yeah!
If I'm honest, I think it's fucken delicious and sounds amazing.
Where's the update on this bike ?
When's episode 4 out??
Anyone know all the years of speed triple forks work on the 21+ speed twins?
Yes they do and they are a straight fit. I borrowed a friend's speed triple RS and fitted his front folks to the 2022 speed twin and they are a straight fit. No mods needed at all. Post doing that, I just ordered a set for my speed twin!!
Fuck dude !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Youv'e Nailed it
What exactly is the air intake? Did you merely remove the snorkel? I removed the rubber element as the hole is now bigger!
Hey Chris, we removed the snorkel and added a K&N filter.
@@INFO_MOTO same here and added an intake bell mouth. I can’t believe the difference and the sound is so much better! Decat next👍. Then cams??? What cams are you using?
Marca de los escapes ?
is that... an LC300??
I thought the standard Speed Twin had 64 hp?
Newcastle?
Afraid I prefer the standard bike. Good on you for all the good quality work however, and best of luck.
Yeah performed mods are great but not cosmetic
Fit 190 rear to make it complete
Love the sound. I want the new Ironstone color but wish they didn't upcharge for a color...reeks of money grab!
Doesn’t the normal one have 100 HP. Mine has it
Manufacturers give the crank HP as it is a higher (more impressive) number.
This HP on the dyno is at the rear wheel.
Looking good. You mentioned airbox mod, but didn't clarify what you have done with the airbox/filter?
Looking forward to the next one with it tuned without factory restrictions and the fuel/air mixture dialed in 👍
You'll see the figures here again are given in engine hp - not wheel hp. Quite annoying when guys use these figures to advertise HP.
Not gains. It's restoration. They make this power off the assembly line and then the regulators proceed to smother them.
Love the bike except for how loud it is. A ''triple'' that loud sounds musical, & I find a parallel twin needs some muting or it becomes fatiguing to listen to , and it's not just my opinion, but neighbors & cops too.
I have the 2022 Speed Twin and if I could add anything I wanted to the bike I would give it another gear. 7 speed with high 7th gear like over-drive.
Try going up a tooth on the front sprocket. It's made a noticeable improvement on my bikes highway manners. Having an overly loud exhaust that constantly pops when your up in the revs, gets annoying real fast out on the highway.
I went up one on the gearbox and down three teeth on the rear....gearing now perfect compared with the horrible standard set up. Has dropped rpm by 750 in 6th,and still has instant acceleration on giving it a handful. Much improved......A 6 HP gain and weight reduction from Decat 2:1 exhaust, also helped, along with K&N air filter.
exhaust is obnoxious but if it boosts horsepower so be it!
At the cost of.....20.000€ if not more?...Well you can have much better bikes for that money 😉
The Bike looks the dogs pal, isn't the standard already 96hp????? it is in the UK. The exhaust looks great but far too loud, because of bikes that loud the lunatics in charge of the asylum will bring in even more noise restrictions so we'll all suffer!!!!!
Agree, exhaust is WAY too loud! Otherwise, very nice. Like the paint job!
96 hp is at the wheel which is more than 96 or so at the crank
I had a thruxton R ,now have a 22 speed twin. Love the seat, but don`t like the exhaust. Way too loud. After ridin that for 1 hr most ppl would be begging to get off.
