One of the things bothers me is the oculink cable and it's durability. I read somewhere that these cables are made basically to use in the server racks where you plug it and forgot for a long time, it's not designed to use like usb-c cables when you can switch it many times per day.
It’s possible. I haven’t used one on and off long enough to experience this. Hopefully the price of the cables comes down so that they can be easily replaced if they wear out
Hi, not about this video but I want to ask for help, I was thinking about buying a lenovo legion 7i pro, any ideas when I should buy it for the most discount? I live in Canada
as much as I want to like this (and I love the concept), there are RTX 4070 laptops (ROG 16, 4070) that are on sale for under $1200 right now, and this thing alone is $900.
@sleepingvalley8340 99.999% of people would be better served by just buying a 4070 laptop. There is no advantage to a dock when price is not an advantage
@@draco2xx The value just isn't there. It makes more sense to have a mid tier gaming laptop and a handheld than a handheld and this. For now! I hope the tech keeps evolving, but unfortunately Thunderbolt licensing fees means Oculink will always be cheaper
I want a laptop that has 64GB ram, thin, light and 2-in-1 is a plus. The Lenovo X1 fits everything but doesn’t have a GPU. This is great for such cases. I’m a business user, I don’t want to be carrying around a huge gaming PC if I don’t need the GPU
Very cool product. Love this. Can't wait till we can get portable GPUs like this for RTX 5000 over occulink.
Occulink isn't fast enough. You'll need a custtom connector like Asus XG mobile
Thanks a lot for your review!
Hi, thanks for the review. Would you recommend using this eGPU via TB4/USB-C?
I was so confused because I was convinced that was a psp😂
Don’t worry. I have the PSP and PS Vita on the brain all the time as well.

Hey FYI apparently onexplayer says it must be put vertically! I think you block a vent possibly laying it flat.
It's officially confirmed on their official RUclips channel that it's Not mandatory to put it vertically.
@@TesGonI’ve heard conflicting messages and I think there are fan vents on both sides
What handheld is that one ? Pretty cool reminds me PSP
it's a GPD device. Cute little thing
Nice im about to order one for my msi claw and legion to tb4
can you test battlefield 2042 usb4 using the gpd win 4 screen thanks
willl it be better than my 4060 rtx inside my laptop if i connect it with thunderbolt 4?
Probably a bit better yes. It's just a much more powerful GPU, even with usb4 limitations
@@TechGuyBeau should be even bigger difference at 4K right? because the extra VRAM.
Hey what mini pc can go along well with thos?
Any with and 6000 or above and occulink will be fine
My onexgpu 2 is only using 50w pf power when I plug in with my gpd win max 2
What CPU. And what resolution are you gaming at
@@TechGuyBeau well it works now but when i use oculink on the gpd win max 2, the performance is actually worst then usb4, idk why
it performs well on usb4 with the cable that came with it but when im using oculink, its very slow idk why
Dat Win 4….FTW 😎. This eGPU definitely is the perfect accessory for the GPD. If I ever had a GPD handheld again I’d want to have something like this.
