When tightening stem bolts, it is a good idea to do them in x-cross fashion, while slowly increasing the torque. That way, the torque is distributed evenly and there is less chance of denting the handlebar.
What’s the weight of this bad boy? And did Trek update the 2020 model? As now SLR only comes with discs and I don’t recall seeing the external routed fork cables anymore
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
I absolutely love these videos, and you guys do it better than anybody I've seen. But that breathing up close into the mic drove me freakin nuts 😵😵😵😵😵😵. Lol.
La verdad, para mi gusto, es una bici de gama alta, no debería llevar el cable del disco delantero por fuera de la tija y con sinchos de plástico. de ese nivel de bici ya viene ocultos todos los cables.
But this is not normal bike mechanic this guy is calm and taking his time to do it correct most shops just slap em together n out the door you go n have to come back a few times
When building a higher end bike that has a lot tighter tolerances than say your sub $1000 we have to take extra time and care when building all of them. We encourage our mechanics to take the time it needs to do the job well.
We generally have 1-2 hours of raw footage for each of thee builds. Just because a specific step wasn't included in the video doesn't mean it did not happen. We have been building high end bikes for a long time and are well versed in what is required to properly put them together. Thanks for your concern
I can understand cable ties on an MTB (still think they are ugly) but on a road bike? Delivering a product that doesn't have something a bit more sophisticated for a supposedly high end bike is quite poor. Nice build though.
Love the color orange🧡
I have 2019 Emonda SLR-8 Project One disc bike and it's an awesome ride. One of the best bike purchases I've ever made.
AWESOME!
Nice to know that the Camera guy is breathing
HAHAHA!!! I never should have looked at the comments first 🤣
good color bike
Great video guys!
What’s the background music? It’s so soothing, it’s like descending after climbing a steep mountain on a road bike.

thanks for the tip
WOW!
Free wheel sound
tightening stem bolts all the up to torque spec instead of rotational tightening?
Can you guys do more road bike builds
The title should be called Trek Emonda ASMR :^ )
from where I can buy the tool from the minute 1:34 ?
Great video. What brand torque wrench are you using?

I just went from 6 to midnight boys!
So expensive and you have to cable tie the front brake hosing to the fork! It’s laughable! Good one Trek!
It should been fork internal at least.

Yes a little too dark to watch
Yes our lighting was not optimal on this video. We are learning with each one we produce. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
A little more work on the lighting. Difficult to watch.
Thanks for the tip, we are learning as we go along and produce more videos
I am disturbed by the lack of torque wrench
Hallo
hi
Send to me, Please!!!! Costa Rica!!! : ) ; )
very underexposed... try editing with your monitor backlight turned down....
I didn’t see him use carbon assembly paste or any grease for metal on metal parts...yikes

Trek made in China?
most is made overseas but select high end items are made in Wisconsin
Cameraman don't breathe!
Or at least not through your mouth.
Someone breathing mad hard
Coronavirus?
yeah the audio amplified that on this one. We seemed to have rectified the issue in our newer videos. thanks
Nobody got sick from the making of this film. You'll also notice the May 2019 posting date.

Carbon grease, gloves always on, and use torque wrench wherever possible, please.

BREATHING
What was this video about??
I didn’t see nothing, have to pay the electrical bill, stop using candles
Thank god a torque wrench
the disc cord out of the fork? Trully? The video is amazing, but this detail sucks.
