What a Great channel, I'm 64,from New Jersey,I listened to the Phillies,Mets,Yankees, all great announcer crews, but I was a baseball fan,I had a good ole time plug in radio, it was about a foot and a half long n about a foot high with a big plastic dial, I would mark with a marker all the teams I could get,the tigers, rsox, pirates, cards, cubs, reds, wsox,Indians, braves, and on a good night the twins, during the mid 70's to mid 80's,all the announcers were great but for me, the most enjoyable was the reds team of Marty Been amen"this one belongs to the reds" n Nuxall "the old left-handed turning for home", but they were all great to listen to, I even listened to NBA games back then too, the Cavs Joe tait was outstanding to listen to as was the Bullets announcer and the Buffalo Braves, the Celtics Johnny Most, I don't care if they were homers, they were great at discribing n announcing the games, anyway, I don't watch or care for today's baseball, basketball, great channel, keep up the great work!
I remember the Frisch's ad at 53:16 from an old cassette tape I made in 1976, it made me want to go there but I lived in the northeast. Loved the Reds!
At 1:10:00, Conway Twitty doing the Stroh's spot brought back memories. George Foster played for the Mets from '82-'86. He briefly played for the White Sox (in 1986), where he ended his MLB career.
There is a BIG GAP in the recording at about the 42:30 mark where innings 2 and 3 and the top of the 4th are missing! And even more is missing later in the game. . .please update the description when there are missing plays and whole innings.
Joe Nuxhall made his MLB debut at the age of 15 on June 10, 1944, being the youngest person ever to play major league baeball. 1944 saw many men who would otherwise be playing baseball serving our great nation in WW2.
That format has been that way for over 40 years, on the Cincinnati Bell Reds Radio Network. Marty Brennaman has been calling Reds games on the radio for 44 years, and he will be 75 at the end of July. A Cincinnati legend. WLW has been their flagship station since 1969.
William T Dunphy Yeah, I know it's gone back to at least when Jim McIntyre and Joe Nuxhall are together. Same with Bob Uecker on the Brewers Radio Network. Only time it has changed was/is this year when Uecker's regular Jeff Levering and Uecker's sub, Lane Grindle, do it where Grindle does 4-6. Otherwise, it's been 3-4, 7 since, at least, when it was Merle Harmon and Uecker in the mid-70s.
@@noahyingling8408 love the Reds I grew up listening to Marty & Joe now i'm gonna be producing them this yr at the radio station i work at. Its still that format today.
I love this team...my favorite all time team...1976 reds

Was 13 years old and living in Xenia, Ohio when this was broadcast. Some of the best memories of childhood were Marty and Joe on Red’s radio.
I'll be 13 in two days...at the day of this game

The late great Joe Morgan. Listening to this drives it home.
Yes. The Great 8 forever.
Please keep this video up, I need some Marty when retires. He is an icon of broadcasting.
Amen to that. Wish they could post every game he did
@@famousprod1 I know, I saved all the best of calls that Lance McAllister posted in case WLW eventually removes them.

Reds win, 4-0. Fred Norman's best game of the year, a complete game four-hit shutout besting Jon Matlack.
The '75-76 Reds were the last national League team to win back-to-back World Series.
I made a mistake. Conway Twitty's Stroh's spot didn't appear till 1:10:57.
