I mean, I currently have dual 32 inch 60 Hz refresh HD monitor for my set up. Yes it is a 1080P monitor and it’s a big 32 inch display so you could see the pixels. Definitely thinking about upgrading to a better monitor and this one was perfect because I did not want to compromise on the size of the display but at the same time I want a good quality display with high refresh rate. And this monitor fits everything 32 inches, 4K, 240 so high refresh rate. But the cherry on top is the fact that it’s an OLED which is a big deal because I can’t get over the fact that my main monitors for my main gaming PC set up are not sharp. And for other people, maybe they don’t really care or can’t even tell the difference but I could tell the difference due to the fact that I do daily drive a 15 ProMax, 23 M3 Max MacBook Pro 16in, 24 iPad Pro 13in, and an Ultra Watch. All these have OLED displays and definitely there’s a big difference between OLED and a regular non OLED display. But the price might be a little steep, but I’ll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.😊
Now looking more into it. The LG32GS95UE actually imo with the semi matte and woled is better, With QD -OLED and glossy screen you get a purple tint on the screen, Blacks are lifted and it gives the illusion the colors are more saturated. Sorta like the edge lit issues but not blooming but its close.
Its funny you joked about the LG having speakers, because I actually sold my 4k QD oled for the LG because I was tired of all the extra wires and space taken up by my bose speakers since the QD didnt have any sound built in. I will say the QD definitely did "pop" way more in specific games like fortnite, the green grass and blue sky are just way more vivid on the QD vs WOLED
I’ve tested both and the PG32UCDM blows this away. I play in a closet so completely light controlled and quiet and the fan on the 32GS95UE is audible and very similar to the 27GR95QE I owned before.
I have this LG and going from a older LCD 4k to this new LG its way sharper in game its like going from 1440p to 4k. i don't understand why this is but its very noticeable in fine lines and textures and color range shows the detail of objects much better. Ive started to play older games more because they look so good now a huge surprise. these new oled's are a must i was not getting the value out of my games and my high end pc hardware. 240hz its very smooth and competitive and also no ghosting everything is snappy and clear when moving around in fps games even at lower refresh rates
Good review! Love the real world aspect! (Just thinking it will be funny in 30 years when people look back and laugh at our sophisticated technology, like we see CRTs and 100lbs rear projection 720p TVs from early 2000s). Waiting for another live stream with Carl and superchats... You're better off script, imho. Thanks for everything
@@lazyturfbattler Exactly what i thought but i dont have that issue. Also its not a touch screen to worry about finger prints. Yes it does get dirty if you rub your face on it but it comes off if you clean it and Yes you dont see this dirt as much on a matt display but you still need to clean it unless you want to save the dirt on your screen. I would rather be able to see the dirt and clean it than not see the dirt and invite germs. Switching from a matt monitor I love my gloss monitor as much.
The contrast is the same if not better in the LG since in the QD OLED the semi glossy finish makes black look grey in a light environment which looks even worse then IPS (believe me). The reason that QD OLED looks better is not for the contrast but for the colors and sharpness.
LG listen: Take the monitor in this review and add/improove: WOLED with glossy finish, pixel sound, slim silver design (like samsung) but without silver bezels, add USB-C charging/display, no remotes / smart TV stuff. Easy win.
The PG32UCDM is aweome but actually for me and my fairly light room the glossy finish is a huge drawback and it is impossible to ignore reflections and the grey looking blacks. 🤢
@@DekuDudein bad lighting conditions only. Get blinds or WOLED since all QDOLED panels suffer with bad lighting worse. Having a matte finish is only pointless on QDOLED and glossy looks better on them. If you want matte get a WOLED panel since you are probably getting a matte panel because of bad lighting control.
I have a bright room as I don't want to work in the dark all day every day. Downstairs I have a glossy TV that is next to the window and I absolutely hate the reflections during the day. So I was thinking about this LG or the upcoming asus model with sima panel. But it is hard when a lot of reviewers prefer the QD OLED.
same, had an old acer screen between 2009 and 2020 (literally one of the first flatscreens they had) and it had a glossy coating, when I had direct sunlight from my windows behind me or ceiling light at night I always saw myself reflecting in the screen in dark games which was so annoying and the reason why i went for matte coating the monitor itself never broke after all those years, I gave it to my aunt and she is still using it which i find kinda amazing
Ill still get the lg even with the finish, the reason is i would be coming from a 24 inch 165 hz tn panel so it would still be a massive improvement. Also desk space, 2 monitors in 1 eliminates that issue. I will say i will also be waiting for price to drop.
ordered the LG, not because i think its the best monitor, in europe ( or germany? ) they run a preorder bonus, 100€ off the price ( still more expensive then alienware ) but a 5year warranty that includes burn in. So i got the LG just to be "safe" If after 5 years the monitor burns in, prices are so low i prob can just buy another one that will be way better by then. Even tough iam not sure where to go from here. There are small things to improve on these monitors but they got so good, what else is there really? Sure double or triple the brightness especially in 100% window, 1000hz, maybe 8k? but all that are so small upgrades in how you perceive them. i really expect to be happy with this monitor for a long long time, thats why im spending so much on it.
I'm happy with the LG. For me it's a better option as my room gets a lot of sunlight so the matte screen fits for my situation. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either one.
first of all you are in denial, because does matte stop reflections? No, worse it disperses it across the entire screen, raise blacks makes them gray, destroy depth, contrast, sharpness, & premium feel, makes it look cheap, but you think matte is good at the expense of everything else.
@@elliotpolanco159 How am I “in denial” when I never said matte stops reflections? I said…and the key words are…”for me” it fits “my” situation because of lighting. I have 2 other OLEDS in my home and I know how the reflections/lighting works. So with all that you said….im still happy with my purchase.
@@baltimore82 there is no "situation". matte doesn't solve anything, it doesn't reduce reflections, it spreads it worse & literally raises a bunch more.
@@thepadster123 you're a deceiver, i have the qd oled odyssey g9, glossy coating gives depth, sharpness, contrast, saturation & vibrancy, with premium feel, matte destroys all of that & raises blacks higher than the qd panel, you're dishonest, & worse matte even in the dark still lacks true blacks, & has a grayish haze in the entire display.
How are the blacks? I havent heard anything good about them unless your in a dark room with no light. Whats the point of going OLED without perfect blacks like what you get with WOLED regardless of the light in the background. Think thats more of an issue with glossy monitors vs matte than QD-OLED, though I could be wrong.
How about I give you an offer that you can't refuse. Sense you have a lot of monitors you give the last year's lg monitor 🤨 ( gun in the table) I don't think you can refuse it
I feel ultrawide OLED monitors are relatively well priced, but 27" and 32" for $1000-2000 don't make much sense due to the lack of real estate. Also, as stated on your video, driving games at 4K and 240Hz is still some time away.
I was considering the ASUS. But after their warranty fiasco covered by Gamer's Nexus I just can't support them anymore. Thought about the Alienware, but I remember the HORRIBLE reliability issues I had with them back in the day (thankfully their customer service was AWESOME, again, back in the day) so I've had them off my list for quite a while. We'll see how this monitor turns out.
ASUS monitors are made with Samsung panels the last I checked. Samsung high end TVs use that glossy screen as well and it's a huge improvement over the matte. Samsung just teased new monitors coming out soon so I'm assuming it'll be a better version of that ASUS.
@@bandit8623 did you try to clean it yet? I had the Aourus FO32U2 and returned it because it is very hard to clean without scratching it. Does the LG clean as easily as the matte IPS panels?
I had this monitor for about a week and it was nice, but I just kept thinking about my iMac Retina Display and how the colors, the clarity and text even looked -- sure they made some improvements on the monitor to be top of the line, but missing a remote was an odd one, and that the monitor's GUI should have been modeled from the C2/C3 series instead of making it a push button -- no reason why it couldn't have had more modes for productivity and gaming combined given the price tag was $1400
qd oled feels like im playing on crazy good tv, this monitor feels like im playing on a gaming monitor. The colors are better on the qd oled but its not a deal breaker. The matt coating its not a big deal at all feels like all the other monitors ive owned. I got mine tax free for 1299 which is the same price after taxes for the AW3225qf, both amazing monitors whatever you can get a better deal for. For sure you need a high end pc im running a 7900xtx with 7800x3d it handels 4k easily. I wouldnt go below a rtx4080 or 7900xt with a 7800x3d and up.
An idea - would it work? If these monitors look quite poor at 32" at 4K, then would the follwing work? Set the monitor to the 1080p resolution setting. Then in game set the game resolution to 1440p. Nvidia DSR would pick that up and render the game at 1440p. When I used to have a 1080p monitor, I used Nvida DSR as often as I could. Still do nowadays with a 1440p monitor.
Had one here and sent it back. 1) The coating is BAD. Like seriously my 27“ 4K LG got a mate coating but is nowhere as grainy as this one. 2) The HDR performance is awful. The colors are washed out and all over the place. Other reviewers messured it and it turned out the color tracking is completely off. I can‘t recommend this monitor. Get something else. Also 32“ is big, don‘t underestimate it. Not sure if 27“ isn’t better for me.
Matte coating is bad on a monitor and everyone speaks about this. Also i notice with monitors you get ok HDR but its not like a LG CX or a midrange LG that does HDR. It will get you by and it might look decent but its not the wow factor, Which being on windows HDR isnt good their either so that makes it worse
@@michaelmichaelagnew8503 people justify their purchases I can’t base it off you a lot of people saying the same thing. This monitor isn’t close to a lg c3 or even c2.
Lately all i had was LG monitors. This looks amazing as well and the semi matte coating isnt a issue. The issue is more QD OLED / Glossy screen which puts out a purpleish tint and the blacks are lifted but no one talks about that Meanwhile the LG holds its contrast pure blacks and it doesn't look like a mirror but that gets overlooked lol

All these have OLED displays and definitely there’s a big difference between OLED and a regular non OLED display. But the price might be a little steep, but I’ll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.😊
that olympus map wallpaper is so cool🥺🥺💜
I’m hoping LG releases a version of this monitor with glossy coating
Now looking more into it. The LG32GS95UE actually imo with the semi matte and woled is better, With QD -OLED and glossy screen you get a purple tint on the screen, Blacks are lifted and it gives the illusion the colors are more saturated. Sorta like the edge lit issues but not blooming but its close.
Just upgraded from 1080 to 2k with the 165hz Benq 27inch and I love it 😁
Cope
cope thats not even close
keep coping 😂😂😂
Nice to see someone else's thoughts QD vs W OLED.
It's more glossy versus matt
Purple qled sucks. Matt WOLED also. I need glosy woled.
Glossy finish beats matte coating all day every day!
Glad this is only an opinion. I love this monitor. A click of a button gives 480hz 1080p is just too OP.
I am lucky enough to own the PG27AQDM I know its only 1440p but I'm pretty much maxing out the 240hz and it is simply amazing.
In Australia, the Alienware 4K OLED is 1000 dollars cheaper currently than the LG and the Asus so it does not make sense to buy the other versions
My next monitor shall have glossy finish.
I have the Alienware glossy and it’s much better than I expected. I don’t see any noticeable glare even though I have my windows behind me.
Glossy is absolute shit. Attracts fingerprints everywhere and the glare from a single light source is outrageous
Stop fingering your monitor then.@@lazyturfbattler
@@emmanuelj18. what aliebware has glossy screen? please let me know!!!!
100% agree. Glossy is just better because of contrast improvements.
The contrast is the same if not better in the LG since in the QD OLED the semi glossy finish makes black look grey in a light environment which looks even worse then IPS (believe me).
The reason that QD OLED looks better is not for the contrast but for the colors and sharpness.
I bought this monitor recently and I’m loving it
I just swapped out a 240hz matte finish for a glossy 360hz and I'll never go back to matte
can u tell me the modelname of the 360hz please
LG listen: Take the monitor in this review and add/improove: WOLED with glossy finish, pixel sound, slim silver design (like samsung) but without silver bezels, add USB-C charging/display, no remotes / smart TV stuff. Easy win.
The PG32UCDM is aweome but actually for me and my fairly light room the glossy finish is a huge drawback and it is impossible to ignore reflections and the grey looking blacks. 🤢
Is it always grey or just when light is shining at it?
Matte coating is literally why I want to buy the LG.
same, had an old acer screen between 2009 and 2020 (literally one of the first flatscreens they had) and it had a glossy coating, when I had direct sunlight from my windows behind me or ceiling light at night I always saw myself reflecting in the screen in dark games which was so annoying and the reason why i went for matte coating the monitor itself never broke after all those years, I gave it to my aunt and she is still using it which i find kinda amazing
So i got the LG just to be "safe"
If after 5 years the monitor burns in, prices are so low i prob can just buy another one that will be way better by then.
@ elliotpolanco159
Not sure how much you know about qd-oled but that’s the one that ‘raises blacks’ unless you’re gaming exclusively in the bat-cave
@@thepadster123 you're a deceiver, i have the qd oled odyssey g9, glossy coating gives depth, sharpness, contrast, saturation & vibrancy, with premium feel, matte destroys all of that & raises blacks higher than the qd panel, you're dishonest, & worse matte even in the dark still lacks true blacks, & has a grayish haze in the entire display.
the more vibrant colours and pictures on the asus one is due to the qd oled pixels on the screen not the coating
It is well known that the QD-OLED has noticeably mmore color volume, especially at peak brightness, which it also has more of compared to LGs WOLED.
@@ghinochips5842 true.. WOLED for the WIN.. QD-OLED fake blacks... so bad.. I never buy again an QD-OLED.. Always WOLED
@@michaelmichaelagnew8503 Blacks are perfect, unless your room is moderately lit. Dont worry about it.
@@inceptionsd in DARK rooms Blacks are rly good.
They're all looking dandy but the improvements aren't substantial over the AWDF and nothing is making me wanna replace my LGC2 for the price.
What’s a good 4K monitor if you’re coming from a top end TV?
How about I give you an offer that you can't refuse.
Sense you have a lot of monitors you give the last year's lg monitor 🤨 ( gun in the table)
I don't think you can refuse it
please add chapters to your video so people can find the information they want easier
I feel ultrawide OLED monitors are relatively well priced, but 27" and 32" for $1000-2000 don't make much sense due to the lack of real estate. Also, as stated on your video, driving games at 4K and 240Hz is still some time away.
What gpu is recommended for this monitor?
If it could drop to 27” without dropping to 1080p it would be a great monitor. It’s really only useful at 4k 32”.
Samsung just teased new monitors coming out soon so I'm assuming it'll be a better version of that ASUS.
the matte coating kills it for me. i hope there's a glossy (but not ridiculously glossy) version.
coating looks great. sitting in front of me now
@@bandit8623 did you try to clean it yet?
Great video! What is the name of that second wallpaper shown--red background with sword guy?
it's probably from ghostrunner 1 or 2
An idea - would it work?
I have this monitor and everything you said Im not experiencing. Sounds like you got a bad monitor.
@@michaelmichaelagnew8503 people justify their purchases I can’t base it off you a lot of people saying the same thing. This monitor isn’t close to a lg c3 or even c2.
This might be off topic but where did you get the animated wallpapers? Especially the one at 8:11
Wallpaper engine probably
Asus PG32UCDM feels to me is the flagship of top monitors to get. Next to that is MSI URX and this last lol
I have a lot of light on my monitors as it is, glossy wouldn’t be good for me
This LG is great, don't pick the ASUS guys. Don't do that to yourself.
Just grabbed the LG for $980 out the door
Lately all i had was LG monitors. This looks amazing as well and the semi matte coating isnt a issue. The issue is more QD OLED / Glossy screen which puts out a purpleish tint and the blacks are lifted but no one talks about that
Meanwhile the LG holds its contrast pure blacks and it doesn't look like a mirror but that gets overlooked lol
I'm curious about Asus PG32UCDP releasing this Autumn. Also WOLED with dual mode 240/480hz. How it will be comparing to that Lg
Returned mine. For $1500 it just kept minimizing every time I loaded up a game.
So it was basically making my games unplayable and I had to return it and plug in my old monitor 💀
It only worked on the 480 hz mode which looked blurry
That only happens to me on COD i thought i was the only one! after like 1 minute its fine though
Can we just discuss your suggested videos at 10:37 please? Haha.
I’m not too keen on having a 4K monitor. But I am definitely interested in a 1440p OLED monitor. Do those exist?
yes. example alienware 360hz
Most of the OLEDs are 1440p
I should be able to buy one of those in like 3 years xD
Hey question off topic from where I can download that Apex wallpaper? Thanks in advance.
Best pc reviewer on YT
About the sponsor, I looked everywhere but wasn’t able to find the 1000 nits brightness Helios 16
Is the anti glare coating of this monitor the same as lg 27gp950?
I have 27gp950, but its coating is like semi-glossy (not quite matte!) and I can see myself in it vaguely!
thanks for great review
Similar to the GP950, better than the 1440p OLED GR95 (less moiré)
I'm keen to see what you think of the gigabyte Aorus and the other MSI (the more expensive one with the terminator brain built into it)
What's peoples' opinion on 1440 oled vs say a 4k ips. I currently game at 1440 with ips monitor. Looking to get a new monitor. If you had to choose between 1440 oled, vs 4k ips... what's your choice???
I run a 4070 ti super with a 14700k
im going to rock LG monitor soon or later i need that monster monitor
I only play Apex legends and its locked to 300 fps. What Monitor would you choose? 4k 240hz or 1440p 360hz? or 1080p 480hz on this one?
i went with the msi 271 qrx
does the lg have a fan?
I've been looking to buy the Asus PG32UCDM for about a month now, but I can't find one. Everywhere I look, it's out of stock. Where is a good place to get one?
new egg pre order, also, b&h is launching them on june 2nd for the first time, so theyre youre best bet
What about in dim lighting? I play games at night with just a lamp on not hitting the screen. Wonder how they compare with that scenario.
Kinda off question but do you have a gaming nvidia control panel settings video?

since the 3423dw i've known that qd-oled is the superior tech, burn-ins pending. In addition to a wider color gamut of quantum dot, the color volume of WOLED's just abysmal, once the 4k QD-OLEDs came out i jumped on it and i'm not looking back.
raised blacks on qd -oled are a big deal breaker
Un related question but im tryna buy a pc and i wanna get a amd ryzen 7 7700x and a radeon 7900xt is this a good combo?
Spend the extra and get a 7800x3D
I'm waiting for 1440p 480hz
Good Afternoon sorry Sir can I ask you where did you download those nice games
Steam for legit copy or fitgirl repack for pirated games
I tested all 3 monitors, Alienware is out of the question. Asus is great but i dont think its better then the LG. The mate coating is more like a semi gloss not the same mate as the older LG models. I prefer the LG all day.
Were you able to get the lg calibration studio to work? I reformatted my computer and with the fresh install, it just hangs on the app with a loading icon. I cant for the life of me get it to work. Able to verify the upstream cable works since the other monitor app shows the firmware is up to date and usb devices worked plugged into the monitor. Just beside myself on what is causing it to just hang like that.
I don’t have a choice on the light in my room. I have too many windows so the matte would probably be the best for me.
I just cant get used to the redness of the qd oleds. Thats why i chose the LG
hurts to watch people with new monitors after mine just broke
Loving your videos as I continue to figure out what I want to buy. I just upgraded my PC 7800x3d + 2080s. But I'm still 1080p 240hz gaming. I've never gamed on 1440 or 4k. So I honestly have zero clue which way to go. I mostly play FPS games....cs2 and cs2 lol. I'll keep my zowie xl2546 as a secondary monitor. But wanna play games like helldivers or red dead etc on a better resolution. There are so many options out there that my head is spinning. Do I go with say an MSI MPG 360hz 1440p....do I go with a 240hz 4k. I just have zero clue because I have zero experience with either platforms. Would you have a solid suggestion of where I would find my sweet spot with a budget of around 1500 CAD? Thanks for any help or suggestion you may give in advance.

Hello mate where you located in the uk???
Why is he not mentioning the raised black of QD-OLED due to ambient light ?
probably because he is sponsored by Asus.
Btw the acer helios 16 sponsored laptop is actually a really good pick
So ultrawide or 32inch? I'm looking at the two types and dunno what to get in for OLED
it comes down to the resolution. All the ultrawides are only 1440p I believe where as the 32 inch are 4K. I personally went with a 32inch 4K and love it.
