    The reviews ive seen comparing the two models do highlight the ASUS's brighter image but from the camera's point of view, the LG's contrast meant you could see more detail in areas that are so bright on the ASUS that it hides detail. I don't know which is more true to life. I want the most accurate image possible. Also, when PC Centric shines the light over the two screens, the LG monitor screen looks pure black whereas the ASUS looks Grey, not black.

      QDOLED blacks suffer when you are in brighter conditions. It IS actually getting grey because of lights so you need better lighting control when using them not to mention the purple glare from lights. It will have better brightness than WOLED other than whites and better contrast because of how the technology works but it comes down to what you value more.

    • @some_random_o_o3140
      @some_random_o_o3140 Месяц назад

      Glossy is for a fact a better fit on QDOLED for this reason since the downsides of bad lighting makes matte pointless even if you want less glare. Get blinds or WOLED instead.

    This monitor had crazy promotions with buy 3 items get 20% off and that could be stacked with cash back and the HECA code for an extra 15% off. I got this monitor for around $864 which I think is a steal. I had the Alienware aw3423dw and switched to this monitor, no regrets. I no longer have a light controlled room for my office so the Alienware was getting too difficult to see with so much light (elevated blacks became an issue). The matte coating works perfect for my environment. Also super nice to have speakers built in for when I don’t want to use my iems or headphones. Burn in is covered by both the manufacturers warranty and the additional 2 or 3 year lg premium care warranty as I asked a LG rep myself. Love having hdmi 2.1 for my ps5 and Xbox series x too. I used to have a 270hz acer predator next to my aw3423dw for competitive fps games. Now, it’s everything I need in one monitor.
    Edit: I keep commenting trying to explain the promotions and cash back but my comments keep getting deleted.

      @@thepadster123 Non-issue for me on the FO32U2P for my use case (light controlled environment), which is basically the same panel. I personally think it's overblown just like how people were blowing up the matte coating on the LG. You will not notice the raised blacks at all when you are using it for regular use on color saturated content, which I would assume would be most of the time people use their screens. If there is any real nitpicking I can think of, the LG has some black crush that can be hard to fix and dulls shadow details, and the glossy screens can be harder to clean if you don't know how to do it properly (distilled water + clean microfiber towel).

I enjoy gaming with my friends but I hate the typical RGB lights, shining a bright symbol onto my desk, I passed that age 30 years ago. I mean, I currently have dual 32 inch 60 Hz refresh HD monitor for my set up. Yes it is a 1080P monitor and it’s a big 32 inch display so you could see the pixels. Definitely thinking about upgrading to a better monitor and this one was perfect because I did not want to compromise on the size of the display but at the same time I want a good quality display with high refresh rate. And this monitor fits everything 32 inches, 4K, 240 so high refresh rate. But the cherry on top is the fact that it’s an OLED which is a big deal because I can’t get over the fact that my main monitors for my main gaming PC set up are not sharp. And for other people, maybe they don’t really care or can’t even tell the difference but I could tell the difference due to the fact that I do daily drive a 15 ProMax, 23 M3 Max MacBook Pro 16in, 24 iPad Pro 13in, and an Ultra Watch. All these have OLED displays and definitely there’s a big difference between OLED and a regular non OLED display. But the price might be a little steep, but I’ll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.😊

    If after 5 years the monitor burns in, prices are so low i prob can just buy another one that will be way better by then. Even tough iam not sure where to go from here. There are small things to improve on these monitors but they got so good, what else is there really? Sure double or triple the brightness especially in 100% window, 1000hz, maybe 8k? but all that are so small upgrades in how you perceive them. i really expect to be happy with this monitor for a long long time, thats why im spending so much on it.

      How are the blacks? I havent heard anything good about them unless your in a dark room with no light. Whats the point of going OLED without perfect blacks like what you get with WOLED regardless of the light in the background. Think thats more of an issue with glossy monitors vs matte than QD-OLED, though I could be wrong.

    I feel ultrawide OLED monitors are relatively well priced, but 27" and 32" for $1000-2000 don't make much sense due to the lack of real estate. Also, as stated on your video, driving games at 4K and 240Hz is still some time away.

    I was considering the ASUS. But after their warranty fiasco covered by Gamer's Nexus I just can't support them anymore. Thought about the Alienware, but I remember the HORRIBLE reliability issues I had with them back in the day (thankfully their customer service was AWESOME, again, back in the day) so I've had them off my list for quite a while. ASUS monitors are made with Samsung panels the last I checked. Samsung high end TVs use that glossy screen as well and it's a huge improvement over the matte.

    I had this monitor for about a week and it was nice, but I just kept thinking about my iMac Retina Display and how the colors, the clarity and text even looked -- sure they made some improvements on the monitor to be top of the line, but missing a remote was an odd one, and that the monitor's GUI should have been modeled from the C2/C3 series instead of making it a push button -- no reason why it couldn't have had more modes for productivity and gaming combined given the price tag was $1400

The matt coating its not a big deal at all feels like all the other monitors ive owned. If these monitors look quite poor at 32" at 4K, then would the follwing work?
    Set the monitor to the 1080p resolution setting. Then in game set the game resolution to 1440p. Nvidia DSR would pick that up and render the game at 1440p.
    When I used to have a 1080p monitor, I used Nvida DSR as often as I could. Still do nowadays with a 1440p monitor.

    Had one here and sent it back.
    1) The coating is BAD. Like seriously my 27“ 4K LG got a mate coating but is nowhere as grainy as this one.
    2) The HDR performance is awful. The colors are washed out and all over the place. Other reviewers messured it and it turned out the color tracking is completely off.
