  • @Joshua-xh6bm
    @Joshua-xh6bm 6 месяцев назад +3

    Love, love, LOVE the back of that thing. However, $1,4000 starting price for an OLED that is, in may respects, inferior to its cheaper QD-OLED cousins, is just too much. The dual mode 480hz mode is going to be an extremely small niche, I'm afraid. Most competitive gamers that want or need that kind of refresh rate are not going to be buying a 32 inch OLED in the first place, they'll opt for a 360hz 27 inch. I don't want to nitpick them here because I still enjoy LG OLEDs (my TV is one) and I want to see them succeed but if they continue to show up months after their competition and at a higher price point without blowout features that scream "Buy me!" they're going to have a problem.

    • @patrikmedia
      @patrikmedia 6 месяцев назад +1

      the whole reason of those 24" and 27" modes is to fill that need for competitive gamers who prefer smaller sizes. 480hz oled response time is the best thing possible atm, only thing that could be on par is the 540hz TN with strobing, but it has so many tradeoffs that I think many people who have the bucks to spend and are heavy into competitive shooter will highly consider an option like this. especially with the huge benefit of using a 32" 4K panel for anything else outside of the game.

    No, its is not worth it. You can get an OLED TV for less. I wish they would get the fact (LG, Samsung etc) that a computer monitor is a mere component of a computer, and should not be priced that high...
    I mean I could probably get a 42 inch OLED TV from LG for the same price, or less. With better speakers, TV tuner, and 120 Hertz display, with HDR, Dolby Vision and so on...
    It looks nice, but should cost £600.00 max, less than half the price advertised. Yes, I know that monitors offer high PPI, and it has a faster refresh than many, or all TV's.
    Also it is ironic that monitors do not attract the high levels of tax TV's do in the UK, so more profit for LG eh....

    one thing nobody in their review ever mentioned: this is the ONLY 4K 32" OLED monitor that has hardware calibration. thats a huge benefit for anyone who plans to calibrate it and use for professional work. really surprised why it never gets mentioned, such a killer feature that you usually only find in high end monitors aimed for creatives.

    Why do they reduce the contrast, sharpness and depth of colors?

    I watch a couple of reviews of this monitor already and in every one of them it looked so grainy, while I seen QD-OLED reviews and they look so clear and transparent. Even in compressed RUclips videos you can tell the difference which really shows how bad the coating is.

    • @patrikmedia
      @patrikmedia 6 месяцев назад

      it will look just as good as any other regular monitor that is not glossy, so basically like over 95% of the overall monitor market. you probably use a matte monitor at the moment or did in the past, doubt you ever complained about it being "grainy".

    Great Video - Gaming OLED!
    Great things IMO:
    1) 4K
    2) HDR10
    3) OLED not QLED
    4) HDMI 2.1
    5) FreeSync PremiumPro
    6) MLA+
    7) VRR
    8) G-SYNC
    9) 120 Hz
    10) Vesa 100 mount
    Few things that are missing IMO:
    1) Want Display Port 2.1 full UHBR20 not 1.4
    2) Wish it had the KVM switch most monitors have built in this year.
    3) Prefer the new WRGB config instead of WOLED
    4) Choice of glossy over anti-glare matte screen.
    5) Dolby Vision would be nice
    6) Longer warranty for screen burn as most offer at least 3yrs and better for dead pixel count which should be 0 IMO.
    7) USB C
    8) Remote
    Unsure:
    Do I prefer all this in 27" instead of 32"

    Anyone else think the 480hz option is useless ? When you have a 4K monitor I’m not sure I’d ever want to drop down to 1080P even for the higher refresh rate. 240hz at 4K works really well.
