The slew of 32" QD-OLED 4K panels coming out are really tempting. The only thing that may be concerning are their potential usage as a PC monitor. I tend to leave my PC screen with sleep disabled or sleep after an extended period of time. Modern OLED panels are obviously more resistant to image retention than earlier panels, but it is still a possibility. The RTings experiment on image retention show that it tends to happen after several years with a consistent image. Awesome review, thank you for sharing. As far as picture quality goes, would you say this is a big step up from the 27 LG OLED monitor you had previously?
ATTENTION 0.3ms response time is only at MAX refresh rate 240hz , only for high end pc gamers , for us regular people the response time is between 13 and 20ms
I'm decided this year... i'm saving up to buy LG's 27 inch oled that's 1440p and 240Hz (forgot the extremely complicated name that you need a phd to remember lmao) I wanna use it since my current setup is - A wall mounted LG C2 (4k 120Hz Hdr oled) - a BenQ EW2780U on the desk (4K 60Hz Hdr ips) - my Macbook Pro 16 inch M2 Max (3.5k 120Hz Hdr mini led display) And i gotta say while my monitor is perfectly fine for desktop usage, it's really long overdue for an upgrade if i wanna game on a 27inch instead of my tv😮💨 Also gonna need to buy that Caldigit TS4 dock to connect my macbook with display port and charge it at the same time (on top of other uses) The USB C port from the monitor you reviewed today is VERY compelling 😩😩😩 But hey, i feel like this LG monitor is pretty much a 27inch LG C2 lol (-4k but obviously it downsamples the 4k image so all good !) Edit : Will update this comment with the word at the end of the video 4K Gaming❤
i rarely have opinion on the 4ks, theyre just what you see really but the real quality is the 4k 60 unfiltered, its the actual gameplay experience i had, or close, since youtube upload kind of lower clarity abit
I mean, I currently have dual 32 inch 60 Hz refresh HD monitor for my set up. Yes it is a 1080P monitor and it's a big 32 inch display so you could see the pixels. Definitely thinking about upgrading to a better monitor and this one was perfect because l did not want to compromise on the size of the display but at the same time I want a good quality display with high refresh rate. And this monitor fits everything 32 inches, 4K, 240 so high refresh rate. But the cherry on top is the fact that it's an OLED which is a big deal because I can't get over the fact that my main monitors for my main gaming PC set up are not sharp. And for other people, maybe they don't really care or can't even tell the difference but I could tell the difference due to the fact that I do daily drive a 15 ProMax, 23 M3 Max MacBook Pro 16in, 24 iPad Pro 13in, and an Ultra Watch. All these have OLED displays and definitely there's a big difference between OLED and a regular non OLED display. But the price might be a little steep, but I'll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.😊
I recently purchased the LG 32GS95UE, and I’m really impressed with it. However, I realized I should have gone for a model with a KVM switch. I want to use my monitor for gaming, but I also have both a PC and a Mac Pro, so having a KVM switch would have been perfect for an all-in-one setup.
4k Gaming! Great video again mate. I would love to know how quickly you can switch inputs using the KVM Hotkey? I have to constantly switch between macOS and PS5 and it takes forever. Is it less than 7 seconds?
4k Gaming!! I actually plan on getting the MSI MPG 321URX, I already have it pre-ordered through B&H. I can't wait to try it out, Been waiting for a 32 Inch OLED for a while.
OLED technology is impressive. It really is way better than any LCD for image quality. I have a 42 oled and I can confirm that. But in my opinion theres a massive problem with OLED for gaming, and that is G-sync/Freesync gamma increase, flickering. If you enable freesync on your oled and play a game, the farther you are to native refreshrate, the more back levels will raise. If it drops to 60hz, the black floor/gamma will increase quite a bit and you will not have inky blacks any more. On top of that, if you get in the territory of LFC(low framerate compensation) you will start to get even more gamma raise in the manifestation of brightness flickering. The screen will pulse and raise the black levels even more for miliseconds and its extremely immersion ruining. I've been debating with my self as to what to do about this problem and the only way you can enjoy gsync in these screens is if you are 100% sure you will have high fps all the time. Otherwise, the problems just defeat the purpose of vrr and oled alltogether. And its quite a big problem if you play triple A titles and dont have a flagship GPU of a current generation, because on those games if you want to have very good graphical fidelity, fps will be around those troublesome areas. And after seeing how much better g sync can make motion in games, its hard to go back to the stuttery feel, bad frame phasing of V-sync. Quite a dilemma for sure.
I told myself, I'll buy this monitor unless I find a deal on a LG C-series that I can't pass up. I was at Best Buy 2 weeks ago and what do you know? Open box - Excellent condition C3. Been using it since, no regrets.
Hope you like this first look at the new monitor. Let me know what you think to the new black wooden panels on my wall too.

Such a big monitor will 100% strain your neck if the image can't be placed at the bottom of the display....Ive actually seen an earlier oled where you could place the cropped image where ever you wanted with the joystick so its possible, its just a matter of companies realising why its an important feature to make sure they include, for me it actually is a make or break feature.@@ehdbom
This is the one ! The one I’ve had my eye on. My consoles and pc are calling
It's a PC monitor. 😉
@@Shibo4201which I can also use with my consoles as it has hdmi 2.1 giving me the required bandwidth for 4k 120fps on my ps5 and Xbox series x as well as being able to use my pc on it.
What’s your point
@@Shibo4201 with a HDMI 2.1 port....
@@Captain-ChatsHis point is no point really, specifically that the ps5 and series x can't utilize the full 240hz at any resolution really. Like I said, it's not a point
@@luukherfst1209 lol, i think he thought i was just buying it for my consoles
So on a PC you can run 1440P at a higher frame rate? Just maxed at 240 also?
Yea, but except it's litterly a 4k monitor instead of 1440p. That's 2,25 times more pixels, so there's that. There are extremely powerful pc's out there that can really take advantage of a 4k 240hz monitor.
@@luukherfst1209
What about ppi?
I am very used to ppi of 4k at 27 inch, will this monitor look downgrade from my perspective?
I’ve had my eye on this monitor since I saw it at CES. Definitely buying one on the day it launches or preordering if possible. Hands down this’ll be THE best monitor for a quite a while.
Hey, do you know if this one will be better/releasing sooner than the Gigabyte Aorus model?
personally i wouldnt buy a gigabyte monitor. they arent nearly as trusted as Asus when it comes to monitors. alot of it is just personal preference tho. ive heard the gigabyte and MSI ones wont be out until Q2 if that helps.@@Shibo4201
GLOSSY BY FAR. Matte Displays is like having Vaseline over your image
Beast of a monitor. How much are they retail?
I saw you mentioned having a 2 year burn in warranty. I have been hearing mixed answers of this is the case and cannot find this in their warranty info. Can anyone confirm?
It's listed on this page on their site rog.asus.com/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-oled-pg32ucdm/spec/
"Warranty - 2 years (including panel burn-in)"
They actually increased it to a 3 year burn in warranty to match MSI and Alienware.
Awesome review, thank you for sharing. As far as picture quality goes, would you say this is a big step up from the 27 LG OLED monitor you had previously?
how many people are willing to pay 1.3k for 1 monitor, doesn't matter how great it is if the price is insane

Already bought this and super nice !!!
ATTENTION 0.3ms response time is only at MAX refresh rate 240hz , only for high end pc gamers , for us regular people the response time is between 13 and 20ms
I'm decided this year... i'm saving up to buy LG's 27 inch oled that's 1440p and 240Hz (forgot the extremely complicated name that you need a phd to remember lmao)
I wanna use it since my current setup is
- A wall mounted LG C2 (4k 120Hz Hdr oled)
- a BenQ EW2780U on the desk (4K 60Hz Hdr ips)
- my Macbook Pro 16 inch M2 Max (3.5k 120Hz Hdr mini led display)
And i gotta say while my monitor is perfectly fine for desktop usage, it's really long overdue for an upgrade if i wanna game on a 27inch instead of my tv😮💨
Also gonna need to buy that Caldigit TS4 dock to connect my macbook with display port and charge it at the same time (on top of other uses)
The USB C port from the monitor you reviewed today is VERY compelling 😩😩😩
But hey, i feel like this LG monitor is pretty much a 27inch LG C2 lol (-4k but obviously it downsamples the 4k image so all good !)
Edit : Will update this comment with the word at the end of the video
4K Gaming❤
i rarely have opinion on the 4ks, theyre just what you see really
but the real quality is the 4k 60 unfiltered, its the actual gameplay experience i had, or close, since youtube upload kind of lower clarity abit
4K Gaming! Good review, I need a monitor badly and just waiting for these prices to come down a bit before purchasing!
This is probably like 1200 or so. The 27in is already 900. If u want cheaper then wait for the msi version
@@thecheecko thanks, I'm also watching the Inno 32" mini led monitor
Excellent review man. If it can get to be under a grand eventually I'll definitely be buying one. This is definitely the sweetspot monitor to beat!
4K gaming … great video SP
4k Gaming! This monitor looks awesome, I Have the MSI MPG321URX OLED on route, can’t wait to try it! Great review, love the work, keep it up 👍
yo! let me know your opinion when you get it! much appreciated!
@@johnepic2422 Just created a video on the new upcoming 4k 32 OLEDs, going to make a comparison vid soon.
But the price might be a little steep, but I'll probably just buy one out of the two monitors and it will be my main monitor out of the 2.😊
im finally in the market for an oled monitor and all these great oled monitors are releasing but NONE OF THEM ARE EVEN AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE.
great video! i always waited for this kind of monitor. if its under 1k€ i will buy it
4K !!!! Looks awesome
A banger as usual! might cop
Cheers for the support dude. Appreciated 🤝
4K Gaming! This is the one!!!
4k Gaming! Great video again mate. I would love to know how quickly you can switch inputs using the KVM Hotkey? I have to constantly switch between macOS and PS5 and it takes forever. Is it less than 7 seconds?
Wow my eyes, best balance for photography work and gaming. Let's see what the competition comes up with ❤
oled and glossy screen is a must!
4K Gaming!
Any chance you have the ability to measure accurate brightness numbers?
Thanks for the info
You should get a gaming PC eventually! You'll get the full 240hz capability of the monitor - which I think is a big selling point for this screen!
Probably my next monitor.
for me it is sure. Iam waiting it with my 1080p monitor because I sold my last 4k moni. Very bad days I hope will be worth.
4k gaming. can't wait for this monitor. this is going to be my main monitor, when i get it. also great video.
not sure but i think lg always gave me oleds even when i buy for others
Tossing up between this or LG C3 42" 🤔
will the lack of DP 2.1 matter mid/long term?
How come people always argued matte is better than glossy but now people want glossy? I never really paid attention to why which is better
been waiting for this, when is it coming?
me too and it’s impossible to keep patient without a date when they’ll be in stock
Great review man

Also, this is the monitor I've been waiting for. So stoked. Gonna have to save up my pennies though, she can't be cheap.
Are you going to get a proper PC setup this year?
Great review, how much will it cost in GBP?
I just wish it had DP 2.1. It would be an instant buy for me. Hopefully we'll see a review for that Gigabyte 32" 4K 240hz monitor coming out.
Is gigabyte dp 2.1
Yep the only one out of the big 4. @@AqepbxVondx
No need. DP 1.4 is doing everything
It can with Display Stream Compression (dsc). 2.1 removes the need for that.@@Shibo4201
Looking forward to new 32” LG OLED monitor review.
I told myself, I'll buy this monitor unless I find a deal on a LG C-series that I can't pass up. I was at Best Buy 2 weeks ago and what do you know? Open box - Excellent condition C3. Been using it since, no regrets.
ROG monitors, as always, are incredible, but unfortunately the OLED panels still don't have "fluids" in fast images, which bothers me a lot.
Was waiting for something like this 12 months ago. Couldn't wait and got the samsung g6
I’m planning to get that monitor I’m so excited for it to come out
would be a great buy
I will buy it 👍🏻 for sure
