I love this. After Diggnation and the Totally Rad Show, I felt a hole in my heart. Your channels have filled this hole, while revolutionizing whatever genre these shows belong to in a huge way.
I haven't played all of the games that Tim, Colin, and Greg mentioned, but I think GOTY for 2014 is Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor. The game worked when upon release! The graphics were great, the gameplay was intuitive (the transition between exploring, stealth, and combat felt seamless), the combat felt smooth, and the story was engaging. I also loved playing around with the Warchief system, of setting up Captains, bodyguards, and warchiefs and playing sides and causing rebellions and overthrowing warchiefs and replacing them with my own. The warchief system was another game in itself! I chose Middle Earth out of all the games I played this year. The games I played this year are Southpark: Stick of Truth, The Evil Within, Child of Light,The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead Season 2, Freedom Wars, Destiny, Outlast.
Checking out the 2015 Predictions. Bold predictions, but also great discussions following through. I look forward to seeing the stuff we totally don't expect as well. I hope Capcom has a few big financial successes really soon, they need it.
Where can we get an audio version? I love the show and I would like to listen to you every week while commuting.

2014 GOTY is easily Dragon Age Inquisition.
It's not just a huge improvement from DA2, but the best installment of the series thus far, and Bioware's best game since ME2. The story finally feels like its own thing, and not a LotR knock off. The characters are better fleshed out with improved story telling techniques & technology. And the worlds are bucking huge, and filled with endless tasks to accomplish and secrets to explore.

Constructive Comment Here: Who ever is responsible for the Audio Recording - be it Tim Gettys or other - it is very low. I have a very advanced gamer laptop. But your Audio is rather lower than normal. Please ensure that it is louder for future episodes.

So I constantly hear Colin saying how good shovel knight is, and I have yet to play it. I am now thinking about getting it, but I wanted your opinion on which console I should get it for, I have a 3ds, vita, wii u, and PS4, and I don't know which would give me both the best experience and the most gameplay time. What is everyone's opinion?
The only thing I don't like about Tim hosting so far is that he doesn't sound like he's having a natural conversation. Sounds more like he's "hosting" the show. Colin and Greg are very natural when they host. Anyways, keep up the good work!

Maybe I'm just horrible at 8-bit platformers anymore. Colin, Shovel Knight is a good game but for me it is frustrating as hell but I'm determined to finish it and all the dlc cause I ain't no quitter lol.
Sup, gang. B-roll of some games you talk about would be really handy for viewers who are less well versed in the gaming scene or even just specific games you mention. Sure we could go and look up gameplay, but b-roll is way cooler (if most likely pretty arduous to implement).
I think Greg is right about rocksteady moving on to superman or justice league game but I hope they do a batman beyond game.

Should have named this show "The Let Tim Host Show".
I got one question that they didn't talk about yet on the gameovergreggy show. Hopefully someone can answer it or if they read the comments they can answer it for me. One of the perks to be working at IGN is that they have all access to gaming events and early access on products. Now they quit IGN, will they still be able to go to E3 or Comicon or Pax or any of the events? Will they have access to early games in order to give us legit reviews? The reason why people read reviews from IGN or gamespot is because they all of early access and more info than the regular joes like us. Now they are like us.
They answered part of this question on Colin & Greg Live the other day. They will still be going to E3, PAX, etc, and they still maintain a lot of their connections in the industry. They also plan on having more gaming industry guests on the show to do interviews and hangout or whatever. It's hard to say how it will plan out when it comes to getting early access to news, they seem to be pulling all their news from the internet so far. But the potential is there. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out. For the time being, they do have plans to continue all of that stuff. Colin even mentioned in one of his streams that their E3 coverage could potentially wind up being an all day event.
Are your twitch videos going to be posted on RUclips? Wondering if I need to subscribe to that. So that I don't miss out on any updates.
They've brought this up on a few streams, so far they are not planning on uploading the Twitch recordings to RUclips. I guess they don't see the point in downloading the videos then uploading them to RUclips when you can just watch them on Twitch. But they keep saying they need to see how everything goes after a few weeks.
Thanks Joseph I must have missed that. It sucks when you can't watch it live and you have to subscribe to watch past broadcasts. Especially for those that are donating to their patreon

Man I'd love to play Destiny with the Kinda Funny family. I like that game but I feel like I never have anyone to play with, and its playability has a steep decline without a fireteam.
My favorite games this year were South Park Stick of Truth, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros and Dark Souls 2

A solution for one of your concerns about publisher pushing unfinished games to release would be to stop preordering games. Assassins Creed Unity was something i was eagerly waiting for, but since my backlog is quite big i decided to wait and not buy it day one/preorder it. I'm glad i waited since it had so many problems. At least wait till some reviews show up and if you see the game plagued by technical issues, don't buy until they fix it.
I will keep dreaming about Kingdom Hearts III. It's been almost 10 years since 2, were so close.

Onto the real talk, I think Greg's Nintendo assessment is accurate but wrong. He's talking about Nintendo games as toys and they are. They're fun with occasionally great stories like Metroid and Zelda, but mostly they're just games, whereas the Xbox and Playstation were the rise of casual gamers, people who want easier games, people who want to use this system as a multi-purpose computer and there's nothing wrong with that, but Nintendo gets a bad reputation for being casual. Look at Destiny and everyone complaining about the grind of it. Destiny is an MMO and those are hardcore games meant for the people devoted to them so you have all these casual players jumping on from hype and being disappointed that this isn't a casual game like Call of Duty and these other best selling games that sell copies because they're for a generic audience. They have hardcore appeal, certainly, but they're selling big numbers because they mostly have casual appeal. But the people who jump into Smash or Mario Kart or Super Mario 3D World are looking for these awesome games that are held to a certain standard so if there's any problem with it, they become a bad game but if anything on the PS4 or Xbox One has a problem, that's just your typical game. People will play these Nintendo line-ups for the entire life of the system and that's hardcore. They're having difficulties because they're pushing the bounds of what games can do with the tablet and motion controls and everything else and because the audience requires games to work in a way that other console audiences don't expect so third party developers who frankly have fucked gamers this year with quality control aren't going to a Nintendo console because they can't get away with the same bullshit. One style of console's not better than the other, but if you're going to buy a Nintendo console it's for these great games. And if you're not rolling in cash, you can buy a few games and subsist off that entertainment for the entire console but if you have a lot of cash and a need for your job to play a lot of different games and new games, you're going to be bouncing around from game to game and Nintendo doesn't have that massive library.

Hey greg, you mentioned that your dog gets seizures.... my dog also get seizures, but hadn't in a while...I did my research and found out that if you pat your dogs head to hard or shake their head IT CAN TRIGGER a seizure! I just thought id tell you this because throughout the video you've been doing that. ..just thought you should know!

Sorry Greg, but you're wrong about the Wii U being toy. It may have fewer games than the PS4, but it has plenty of streaming services, entertainment capabilities, and sufficient hardware power to be classified as more than "a toy". It just so happens that Nintendo's games often cater to wide audiences and are more accessible. I think its unfair and undermining to disregard the console as "a toy", because, of the people who do own one, there are plenty that use it every single day and enjoy it.
I don't consider it a toy, in terms of quality games and exclusives it schools the PS4. 3rd party wise no but most 3rd party games sucked this years anyway.
The Wii U has by far the best catalogue of titles of all the current-gen consoles.

PS4 and Xbone have much better game catalogs than Wii U, they might not have good exclusives yet, but who buys a console for exclusivity bragging rights and a 3 or 4 good titles a year? Nintendo needs to wake up and come to the table, time to build a real console for gamers - Last time that happened was the GameCube. Fisher price kids tablet is no substitute for a controller. Their game discs only carry 25gigs which is nothing on PS4 and Xbone. The hardware is only half as powerful as Sony and MSofts efforts. There is a reason your third party titles are few and far between and many games only see ports to Nintendo much later...
Sure your Nintendo exclusives are fun, smash Bros, Mario, Zelda, Bayonetta, but I wouldn't trade a few good exclusives for the excellent library I have on ps4, and the host of awesome upcoming titles.

Aaron Briggs Except that I'm not a Sony fan boy, I could have been just as happy with an Xbox One, my previous Gen I had an Xbox 360, the Gen before that I had an N64 and every generation I go for the console that fits my needs. I understand if you're a casual gamer, or a Nintendo die hard why the Wii U might appeal, but don't for second think you can objectively say the Wii U 's game catalog is better than PS4 or Xbone.

My Ideal DC comicbook Game - Rorschach The Video game.
I'm thinking a dark Gritty open world New York game, Half LA Noire, Half Watchdogs. You Make the Crime solving hard and the combat Brutal and fast. Make it so you could legitimately make the wrong guy out to be a Murderer. I also want a few Watchmen Cameos. Not on screen for long but go to Night Owl and Ask for a few Gadgets or some help. It needs to be a Big vertical city. kinda Like GTA but Much more Dark Ali ways. And lots of random Rapes and Murders you can stumble upon. I want the police to be hunting you.

I love how when they mention Gamergate... they talk about Women.
I've not seen much evidence of IGN being too badly involved with the whole thing, which is good. But these guys seem to still not understand that what they think Gamergate is, is a false narrative given to them by the opposition. It's about Ethics in Games Journalism, we don't say that as a joke, it's not an excuse to hate women, we're just all tired of the shitheads at leading positions in Games Journalism spewing nonsense and promoting their personal friends.
