Slow-mo, so awesome. Dam they are able to take a beating too. I can't believe they didn't have a loud bottoming out sound when they were hit with much more power than rated. Cool vid, I didn't think those level 2's could hold up to high power.
@Tekboy 808 because they are only level 2. I know dc is a good quality product, but I just thought level 2 couldn't hold today much power. These subs are only a couple hundred dollars
Those are some tasty looking subwoofers. Nicely priced too for being made in the USA! I am planning a redux in my whip and might ditch the 2 cheap 12s and use just one DC LV3. I might grab one of those slick connectors you are making too. Cheers!

That's not noise work shop machines is music to a man's ears. I'm currently working on a box for a set of DC audio 12 . I'm still stuck between the level 3 or 4 I'm only using a 2500 rms amp so I think the set of 3 might be best . Great video 👍 those terminals are sick 🔥

Well i was wondering about how much power you could feed to a couple of the m3 level 2's no question about how durable they are that's for sure but I would be running 4 12in dual 4s @ 1ohm but I just got a little suv so the 12's should be perfect on a precision power black ice 5000.1 witch is 2500.1 @ 1ohm

Im in the market for 3 10 inch subs that will be powered by 3 p1000x1bd rockford fosgate amps. 1 p1000 per sub... i need them to perform well in a sealed enclosure. Right now i have 3 rockford p3d2 10s powered by a p500x1bd amp each. I want to double my power on my bass from about 1500w to 3000w. Any suggestions? Im pretty much decided on the psi platform 2 10s. But im definitely open for suggestions.

1,000 watts is 31.6 amps at 31.6 volts into a 1 Ohm load. It looks like you're bridging the output of the amplifier into the 1 ohm load, meaning, each output stage is experiencing a 1/2 ohm load, unless, it's a mono-block amplifier, with paralleled output terminals. It's undoubtedly a class "D" switch mode amplifier. When applying a sine wave, the cones should not suddenly stop, and pause at the extremes of cone excursion. That's a sure sign, that you've exceeded X-max. When to cone hits the limit, bounces, then settles, until it goes the other way, you're well into mechanical X-max, and the speaker is at risk of being damaged. Once the coil gets outside of the magnetic field, the amplifier no longer has control, and the cone is "thrown" into the mechanical limit of excursion. It's the result of a lot of power applied, with minimal acoustic load on the driver cone. At the very least, it's well beyond the point that the driver sounds awful, due to the harmonics of what's essentially a mechanical equivalent to "clipping", even though the amplifier is still producing a pure, un-distorted sine wave.

sure am!!! the main reason i changed it is because i loved the color combo's on the new Neo terminal. But this one, although not as "cool" or "fun" as the Neo, is probably the best one i make. It's truly a great terminal cup! :)
