meade916 what is making the majority of the noise? Is it the dust collection part or the motors on the machines?
Any idea what frequency the noise is?

@Dave Micolichek I just dropped 23 myself. I injured myself on my deployment last, and gained weight because of it. My advice... take your time and as much as it sucks it all starts in the kitchen. Can't outwork a bad diet. Just start with lowering your caloric intake, versus eating rabbit foods. You may enjoy it more.
      Back to the bass.

Best solution for you is to change the layout of your shop. Put the cnc machines in a row to the back wall and build a room around them with proper ventilation and sound deadening. Then you will have no problem with the sound, heat or vibrations coming off the routers. And maybe rent a garage or warehouse for your project cars that you don't drive/work with that often. That will free up a lot of space and the shop wont seem so cluttered. Just an opinion from an maintenance and repair guy that has done a lot of layout changes in the firm I work in. Also a good chance to do inventory when moving stuff around.
    Keep up the great work!

I've had these in my hands for awhile and the biggest thing to get use to is the smaller wire requirement. AKA the 4 gauge terminals. It is because these amps draw roughly half the current that we are use to to make equivilent power to the typical class D we are use to. Im still using dual 0 gauage into the 8000.1 we are testing. But none the less it will grow on us old school guys after awhile.

The only way to reduce the background noise from your shop is to use a shotgun condenser microphone. Adjust compression and maybe noisegate during edit. Plenty of YT vids or those dudes you know at the music studio can hook you up with the knowledge. The mic on your camera is a dynamic type. Not good for noisy areas.

From what I saw, there was only a single transformer and a single capacitor in that amplifier. I know the full bridge design works differently, but it's really hard to image the 4 guage power/ground inputs and a single capacitor would be enough for a 3kw amplifier. I'm sure that little thing gets hot, and it definitely doesn't have enough heat sink for the power it puts out.

Audio enginer here, your best bet since you moved around a lot is to get yourself a lapel mic. It is very much proximity based so the fall off is fast in pick-up signal but will capture your voice very well.

  • @2slofouru
    @2slofouru 5 лет назад +3

A low frequency sine wave (very close to low bass "musical" notes) is easier to create than a full range signal with the same power level. Every year dsp makes these "digital" amps more efficient, eventually the only limit will be how much current the power supply and output transistors will handle...and they are steadily becoming more beefy as well.

  • @Impossibly-Possible

For a mic, the Rode VideoMic ( may work for your application. It is a directional microphone, so it focuses on the sound directly in front of the camera. It should help, however I don't think it will completely cut out the sound because of how loud those machines are. It is about $150. One down side is that it is a bit long, they do make smaller models, but they aren't as good at directional sound as this model. I use this one in crowds and the model higher out of crowds for this reason.

Rewatching this vid. The power supply shutdown because it was charging ur batteries to 14.5 and wasn't there yet and then u did the tests. So, it drew too much from it and went into a sort of "protection" mode

I'd check the power supply for any loose internal wiring. Sounds harsh right before it tripped. Transformer will get noisy with little load if there's a loose connection. Crazy little amplifier though!

Cheers from Brazil, and we have 4 main brands, SOUNDIGITAL, TARAMPS, BANDA, STETSOM, and in that order is the best to least best cuz stetsom is still good, SOUDIGITAL is my main choice for years and it slaps and had clean vocals

btw just a little fun fact, in almost every case here in brazil our brands advertise the rms power at 12,6V, in this specific case of soundigital 3000 NANO they already advertise at 14,4V i think it is cuz was already intended to hit USA market, but most amp even from soundigital advertise in 12,6V

Yup sound digital reliability and quality wise is the top dog... I've been running around digital for years and years and never had issues . I switched to a Taramps HD 3k and blew through 2 in a year . Ill be trying out the MD3000.1 and seeing how it goes. If not I'll be just going back to the EVO line from sound digital. Good thing Is I have a ton of sound digital amps in my closet 😂

@@MLProductions.1 The new line from Taramps Smart 3k and 5k sounds pretty damn good if u into that, better guts and shit, otherwise i would advice to wait cuz SD prob coming with new one too, have u have some Banda already? i am running one and one sd in my system

@@henriquee67 what I don't like about the smart is that it's rated at 14.4volts. I wouldn't mind because of it doing 3000 rms at 1-2ohms so after impendace rise it's about the same power if not better but I run 2ohms and think with rise it's about 2.4ohms. I wish they had a version that did 3k rms at 2-4 ohms

@@henriquee67 I actually haven't tried banda I've heard mixed things like Taramps about QC issues. I'm hoping since the MD line is the replacement for the HD line that internals are a bit better. I'm also running my amps in my spare tire compartment so no airflow most likely has an impact on them. But Ive been doing it for years with no issues.
