I bought a 1994 Chevy cavalier for my son and put an old kicker l5 10 I had for years and an alpine m-500 and some kicker 6x9s I found on Craigslist lol he loves it .really enjoyed your father son build
My father bought me a 05 cavalier. I was gonna buy my own car but he suprised me on Christmas. So with all the extra money I bought a focal fpp-1000 a JL 10inch with. Beautiful box new front and rear speakers and a new headunit. I love this thing, sounds absolutely amazing. He hates it lol

Steve you don’t need no warehouse! Where your at is perfect. Dre didn’t start in no damm ware house but started in a dirt ol garage and look where he’s at now. Start from the bottom and work to the top. Hard work definitely pays off. Been a fan since day 1 brotha! Much love.

This is always fun for me to watch, i wouldn’t put this much bass in my daily driver I’m good with one solid 12 lol, this is out of my league, anything more than 2 12’s makes me feel like I can’t breathe.
I built my first box with a jig saw and Dremel tool for an 8 inch JL sub. Proud moment lol
Barrowed drill. Pre cut wood from home depot all built in the kitchen. Gf was pissed lol
jones jones aah damn I did mine mostly in living room dust and shit every where, it was winter time.. I lived alone so it was cool.. Home Depot is a good idea for precut wood!

Those Gately boxes are a thing of absolute beauty! There's so much color and depth to the grain, and it's not just the wood! Even in the videos I can tell it's been expertly handled and treated, and there's a lot that's probably not coming through in the video. Props to Mr. Gately!
Dual 12s are my type of setup. Not too much and not too little. It has a lot of bass if u want it.

dam need a badass box like this for my nvx 12...looks dope asf and real clean...
Not to mention that bass caries differently in a building than a car...down ports work better in a building because the bass resonates off the floors and walls. In a room you will get spots where the sound waves crash together and peak, and in between where they cancel/void (somewhat) each other. Down ports are supposed to make less void areas in a room because they are bouncing off more surfaces to start with...or so I was taught back when.
+1 for competent and knowledgeable install. Above and beyond friend.

Now thats a nice ass box! Ive had a lot of different boxes and to me the bass sounds deeper when the subs are on the same face of the box as the vent even with the same air space and tuning frequency, maybe its because theres more air between the subs and the vent? Just something I realized over time that it does sound slightly deeper to me

I have a sick idea for an 8th Order build, I just don't have the funds or space to build it. Can I send you the drawings and maybe you can build it and test it? It will be able to be tuned to 3 different frequencies!
I had wanted to build a 18" version for a badass home theater sub and a 12" version for my 04 Tahoe. I listen to allot of different Genre music so an 8th order would be Ideal for my HiFi needs :)
