@@Jeffdachefz How can it start clipping if you set up your amplifier to use around 500 watts instead of 1000 watts? Turning gain down doesn't make your amplifier to start clipping or break your subs and listening music at low levels doesn't break your subs either (your amplifier doesn't use 1000 watts of power even if the gain is set to that if you are listening at lower volume levels).
Hats off to you for attempting breaking it in at least 🤙 I’d say there’s not really a speaker that should be running at max for too long . Blurp is kinda the max . But if you’re looking for loud and length need more subs to distribute the work load
Notice when doing extended testing that the power goes down over time? That means resistance is going up 'cause the coil is heating up. I honestly didn't think it'd be that easy to see! Neat stuff! 2 bd3s in a prefab on a Memphis pr1200 for 8 months of wreckless edm bass never an issue
I have three bd1 on a 2k and wow!
i like the bd2's FS is 26hz is very strange lol. my hifonics zrx 1800 makes my bd1's a lil toasty i do admit that's why i got 2 amps and hooked one audio pipe dual 4 with 1 skar evl dual 2 to make about .6 ohm and not wallop the speakers too hard (.9 ohm and 1.8 ohm in box readings)
@@Neganelite wired to 2 ohm each?
@@notyobiz6207 yes final ohm load of .67 ohms
I wouldn't put more than 500W on those, what ever they say do half
and thats how you get dissatisfaction and clipping. Always have headroom and make sure your amp never comes close to clipping.
I never win anything ever. Dont pick me or you will screw up my low expectations.
Hats off to you for attempting breaking it in at least 🤙
I’d say there’s not really a speaker that should be running at max for too long . Blurp is kinda the max . But if you’re looking for loud and length need more subs to distribute the work load
It’s nice to see Rockville still alive. I use have a 10 from the early 90s
i got one of the v1 k9 right after you shot the video it's still alive
Notice when doing extended testing that the power goes down over time? That means resistance is going up 'cause the coil is heating up. I honestly didn't think it'd be that easy to see! Neat stuff! Just cut all the ratings for these subs in half and we'll probably be fine. Really sucks when companies overrate their stuff.
Mine are still bumping loud af. Rockville sent me the V2 and I installed them on my second car. both sets are bumping loud AF without issues.
