Hey Matt, is youtube your only job or do you have a daytime job besides making videos for RUclips, and what might that be? Keep up the good work and Thanks 👍🏿
I have to say. Some youtubers do a breakdown, but not all disclose the youtube rev. Your passion and your spare time commitment to the channel out weighs most. Keep it up. No reason you shouldn't be earning a mill plus subscribers.
This video reminds me what a Herculean effort this build was. You could give me 5 years and I probably couldn’t have done the same. Great job and was fun to watch.
I wish I had your outlook on things, Matt. I remember looking at those two tubs thinking there was no way you’d end up with 1 working vehicle. And now your 997 is as good as any other example out there. You always had faith, and you just kept your head down and your hands greasy. Bravo Zulu, my friend.
Congrats on 100k subscribers. It was your “enclosed car hauler refurbish” series that got me hooked on your channel and caused me to watch all your previous episodes.
14:24 ahh dude, you got Falken tires! My absolute favorite. Usually people just go with the Michelin pilots, which are great, but I like the Falkens better
Never stop sharing the build break downs, transparency, errors or mistakes. Thats why I (and probably most of us) love this channel so much! Now time for some E30 (and e92?) content!
Matt, to say that this is impressive its a huge understatement. Excellent work man. Loved watching every bit over the past year. I wish you much growth for you channel. You have a loyal subscriber here lol. Thank you for putting out such great content. God bless!
Clean, simple and a honest price breakdown. Matt you'll have a bright future! I'm in since before the 25k subs so when you blow up I can say that I was there early!
Absolute mega effort on this Matt, it has been great fun to watch and cheer you on! Well deserved! Now you can enjoy the fruits of all your efforts and drive the wheels off that thing!
It tells a lot about a person when a real and honest breakdown of cost comes into play. Fearless leader is a solid dude. He now needs to give himself a raise and factor in the labor hours! Any shop would charge a fortune for the labor of switching chassis, repair work, paint and modifications. That’s why we watch the channel!
Feel like you’re really finding your style of presenting now Matt. Been great to watch your confidence grow - keep it up, very unique channel in a saturated field, a hard thing to pull off 👏
Kinda sad to see this come to an end, but of course mainly happy for you! Watched the whole series and it was such a good watch, congrats! Here’s to 100k more subscribers
You do a good job, good content, you are natural and it's good to watch, and above all, you are a BMW fan, and basically every BMW fan dreams of owning a Porsche, just like me. Wish me luck!
Congratulations man. I don’t know how anyone can hate on that. It’s an amazing feat, and personally… I really appreciate what you’ve done. It’s been highly entertaining and educational for me. Just fyi, I’ve bought some of your merch, I’ve been subbed for at least a year, and I even sometimes get my wife to watch your videos with me. So thank you, Matt
Really heartening to see you can make it financially viable, the series has been excellent and has softened the blow after I let my 2005 997 Carrera go recently due to lack of miles driven
The enjoyment you get out of doing this stuff is always going to be a win Matt. It just makes it that much better when it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
turned out so amazing!!! I really love the 996(except the wheels and color) but everybody likes different stuff but I know as a real Porsche guy there are ways to tell if someone has taste and knows what's cool. I also understand buying what you can find used so the new wheels aren't for me but the fact that you could have done anything for exhaust but you knew that the gt2 style outlets are so far cooler than anything else. they turn the car into an aggressive looking machine that actually make it look like its got as much horsepower as whoever looks at it wants it to have. its actually nothing that enhances power but it makes appear that way. doesn't really make the sound so who gives a shit but it looks like its going to sound epic. its a mod that really has only visual appeal but it gives people a wink if you will and Porsche tuning guys like myself know that you are indeed a badass with a badass car. cheers
Thanks for sharing ALL of the numbers including your youtube revenue. This is a great picture of the true cost of DIY a porsche. You definitely have my subscription! Great work!
Keep going Matt, you’re doing great and congratulations on your 100k. Yours is always the first video I click on when I see a new one uploaded, and that includes the big guys on here.
I love this car, the stock wheels looked good, but I really like the new wheels aswell. Great build and I hope your channel will grow a lot. Maybe the M3 build will make that possible. Or rebuilding a crashed car of one of the bigger channels like Mat Armstrong did with the GT3RS from Adam LZ
I absolutely appreciate you getting us involved ALL the way - no one... NOT ONE SINGLE OTHER RUclipsR does this... And you make good fun, "clean(ish)" content!!!
Man I got stressed out just rewatching that clutch job for a min lol. Congrats for real though. You’ve got one of the all time greats from Porsche brought to life by a TON of your own sweat equity. Doing it all in that little garage is what makes this channel so relatable to people I think. That and your car guy math that we all do to justify the money we spend on cars haha.
I do this all the time with copart cars... buy 2 cars, frankenstein them together into one decent car, sell of parts, break even or have extra cash for upgrades.
I would love to see you ice blast the motor and the underside of it and mint it out. It turned out amazing! Been following the build after i found the yellow Porsche headlight retrofit kit. I don’t even own a Porsche. 👌
Lol you’re the GOAT dude… Anyone who watches and comments what they don’t like about your build is comedy. Anyways, I rarely comment on the tube but only when credit is due 👏🏽 you done did what I think most P car owners wish they could do. Thanks for the content. I watch em all 👍🏽
Amazing Job on this one, only thing i would do different is i would put a 911.2 steering wheel, but everything else is Perfect !! Keep up with builds like this, love watching your videos, all the best !!!
What a great cost summary!! Thx so much for including the RUclips revenue as well. Very interesting, and i'm glad that I was able to contribute a tiny amount to your amazing 997.2 Turbo. Let me know if you want to sell it. ;)
I have a 997 turbo here in Vermont and Rennline uses my car for development;I had the first Rennline air intake box. As well as other body items. Good stuff. I would run a different back deck/spoiler. Other than that good job.
Well done mate!... Totally worth it for the blood sweat an hours that gone into it. As I always say this is by far my favourite porsche build I'm super jealous! Hahahaha.
Hi Matt . My name is Graham from South Africa. Question: Would you ever sell the E30 M3 ? If so, how much would you like for it. Love watching your videos, buddy. Keep it up 😊

Hey Matt, is youtube your only job or do you have a daytime job besides making videos for RUclips, and what might that be? Keep up the good work and Thanks 👍🏿
I’ve got a full time job for now!
I have to say. Some youtubers do a breakdown, but not all disclose the youtube rev. Your passion and your spare time commitment to the channel out weighs most. Keep it up. No reason you shouldn't be earning a mill plus subscribers.
Thanks so much! I try and be as transparent as I can.
@@matt13ross appreciate the transparency
Excellent rundown. Perfect example of how much money you can save by doing work yourself.
This video reminds me what a Herculean effort this build was. You could give me 5 years and I probably couldn’t have done the same. Great job and was fun to watch.

You can do anything you set your mind to! Including getting your channel GOING! :)
I did wonder about fixing chassis rail! When I saw all those wiring harnesses the thought of moving 😦
Congrats on 100k subscribers. It was your “enclosed car hauler refurbish” series that got me hooked on your channel and caused me to watch all your previous episodes.
Awesome, thanks for going back to old ones too!
Such a great build. Binge watched the entire series. Made my love for the 997 grow even more. Congrats!
same
@thelastpetrolhead the 997 is my favorite water cooled 911
14:24 ahh dude, you got Falken tires! My absolute favorite. Usually people just go with the Michelin pilots, which are great, but I like the Falkens better
Love them too!
Never stop sharing the build break downs, transparency, errors or mistakes. Thats why I (and probably most of us) love this channel so much! Now time for some E30 (and e92?) content!
Thanks! Yes to both of those cars getting new videos soon.

I'm still waiting to "blow up" lol
Can't believe you did it and i was watching the whole theough. Congrats on a great car.
Plus doing something you like, that's priceless...I would pick this over my day to day office job in a blink of an eye.
It came out seriously nice. Great job!
The modifications were spot on! Just right and not over the top.
Can't wait to see the BMW project progress.
Absolute mega effort on this Matt, it has been great fun to watch and cheer you on! Well deserved! Now you can enjoy the fruits of all your efforts and drive the wheels off that thing!
The full thorough cost breakdown you did is really gonna help out a lot of people looking to rebuilding a 997 Turbo.

Thank you very much!!
Fantastic choice of colour and parts kept the best of the original design and enhanced it.
Turned out beautiful, great work and attention to detail! Looking forward to your next build

Amazing work super nice mechanic
Could not be happier for you
You deserved it
Hard work and honest work never hurt no one
Really heartening to see you can make it financially viable, the series has been excellent and has softened the blow after I let my 2005 997 Carrera go recently due to lack of miles driven
Really enjoyed the re build of your car, your presentation and dialogue were very good
The enjoyment you get out of doing this stuff is always going to be a win Matt. It just makes it that much better when it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
Super epic that you have this car for that price considering everything you did and hrs put into it. Awesome
man, so happy for you! keep going and you'll be making a lot more projects like these

It's been interesting. 911 Turbo's are so nice out of the box, I wouldn't have done any of the mods, but each to their own. Nice Work.
I think it’s hit or miss depending on the spec. They can often look totally understated and bland.
You're doing great man keep it up and don't ever change.

Love how in depth you got with all the different aspects of the build cost. Only $20,000 invested is awesome!
I love the wheels and the chalk grey. Excellent 👏

Math is on point!! lol
Great wrap up of the 997. She’s unbelievable! Your collection of cars is amazing. What’s next?
Well, I still have the 996, the white E30, the E30 M3, LS1 E36, and the E92 M3. So.....lol
Love the 997.. you did a great job Matt!
I do this all the time with copart cars... buy 2 cars, frankenstein them together into one decent car, sell of parts, break even or have extra cash for upgrades.
Your an amazing guy bro! Makes me wish i did a build series on my grave yard e36 m3 lol!
I would love to see you ice blast the motor and the underside of it and mint it out. It turned out amazing! Been following the build after i found the yellow Porsche headlight retrofit kit. I don’t even own a Porsche. 👌
Eventually, I’d like to do that for sure!
Thats a HUGE win. Congrats Dude. One of my favorite RUclips rebuilds....and you did it in your GARAGE!😂
$20k and time well spent.....the content wasn't too shabby either...Nice work man
Now that the wheels are on, can we officially say the build is now done? Also what a golden nugget, absolute steal for such a beautiful ride
Few more things to do. But mostly done
Congrats Matt! Your car is amazing, it's perfect! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
that's a win, really appreciate you putting all the figures out there. not that my opinion matters, but definitely keep doing what you're doing.
Thanks! Will do!

Looks better with black wheels great job
I think the wing looks good. Everyone is so obsessed with oem plus.
I stopped watching the channel because I was busy with school, but wow! It looks great! An with no lift! I commend you for taking on this task!
Now go back and watch what you. missed :)
Beautiful project finished car is a real credit to you 👍🙏🙏👍🇬🇧
Nice work! I watched the entire thing. Didn't you get Mustafa to repaint the 911? How much did it cost you?
Great job Matt!
I really enjoyed this Porsche series, very interesting to watch. 👍🇨🇦
Build looks good, and well now you’ve earned the title “Built a car before” also.
Amazing Job on this one, only thing i would do different is i would put a 911.2 steering wheel, but everything else is Perfect !! Keep up with builds like this, love watching your videos, all the best !!!
Still planning on a steering wheel upgrade in the future!
Your work is Amazing 💛🔥
Rims are fire build if fire great channel bro
Shout out to the Apex wheels they look great on the car!
What a great cost summary!! Thx so much for including the RUclips revenue as well. Very interesting, and i'm glad that I was able to contribute a tiny amount to your amazing 997.2 Turbo. Let me know if you want to sell it. ;)
Not selling anytime soon!!
Awesome journey! Love the build! What happens now that you have two Turbos? Do you sell one?
Video on that coming soon!
How much did the rear quarter planel cost? Wow love this project
I have a 997 turbo here in Vermont and Rennline uses my car for development;I had the first Rennline air intake box. As well as other body items. Good stuff. I would run a different back deck/spoiler. Other than that good job.
Lucky you I wish I was closer to them!
Well done! What a project! Are you going to sell the 996 now? Very few people have two Porsche turbos in their garage!
Going over all of that in the next video this week!
Congratulations on 100k+ subscribers🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Great Work!
It is a win. Well done!
Well done mate!... Totally worth it for the blood sweat an hours that gone into it. As I always say this is by far my favourite porsche build I'm super jealous! Hahahaha.
Thank you!
@@matt13ross your welcome! Keep the content come!
Black isn't my favorite wheel color, but I do like the Apex wheels
No way this channel will not hit 2 million subs by the end of next year
Wow I think that’s pretty high lol
Excellent…great vlog…I reckon your channel will boom…
Hope so!
Love the video! Great job! Btw. 👍👍
I’m looking for a spare tire. I thought I saw it in your video rebuilding the Porsche 997?
I admire the transparency.... But will never admire those stupid truck wheels!!! 😂
lol I love them still!!
Love the Porsche content can’t wait for the M3 to return
Soon!
❤ the new wheels
It definitely needs a set of bbs
New wheels are 1 million percent better 👍🏻 now just put the standard rear wing back on 😊
Beautiful car, bravo!
Thank you!
You forgot to add the porsche tax to the parts you can sell. You can easily double those prices. Love the apex wheels on it❤
Good call!
Brilliant build and series, bet you spent a fortune on window cleaner!!
Lolololol
What about the cost for all the window cleaner?
Ahahahah, wish it was free!!!
At the end of the day you have a 997 Turbo which you basically built, I think anyone would call that a win.
You forgot to add the cost of 10,000 Porsche labor hours.
Hi Matt . My name is Graham from South Africa. Question: Would you ever sell the E30 M3 ? If so, how much would you like for it. Love watching your videos, buddy. Keep it up 😊
It need way more work before I can sell lol
That’s some serious dude math.
You did a great job with a full nut and bolt rebuild there 👍 ....the black wheels look shit though (sorry !)
Where's the line item expense for cans of Sprayaway glass cleaner?
LOL wish it was free!
Are you willing to sell the spare tire?
Looks delicious 👍
lol at the Morgan and Morgan Advert
I try to make them funny lol
How much did the tow strap cost ??!!
Ahahaha 1 billion dollars!!
This is the best guy math I've ever seen.
LOLOL yes!
