My dad runs a body shop, so naturally I have the "painter eye" and I can spot a repainted body panel from across a parking lot... your painter did a PHENOMENAL JOB painting all those parts. They're not 1000% perfect, but they look way better than I was anticipating. Edit: Amazing turn around Jack, car looks killer💪🏻
I feel like a have a little bit of a “painters eye” although I don’t do paint for a living. Like the obvious ones that are easy but I can point out when a color is shaded a little to much or not enough
@@CronicDice I'm just not sure if Porsche put nearly as much glitter into the paint as the painters on the newly painted panels did. I'm sure it'll look much better when it's been detailed, but I don't think the amount of glitter will match the original body panels.
Maybe he's waiting for exhaust upgrade before putting it on, since he said it on the previous videos that he doesnt like the sound of the car that much.
The Red Underneath was pretty neat, but the End Result still looked mean as hell. I'm also going through all Black all Simple Phase RN, but with 2 wheels. I riced too hard with cars!💀
Jack, a popular 997 thing at the moment is to do what is known as 'backdating' by getting a ducktail like you have done but also getting some replica Fuchs alloys and some Carrera decals on the side.
I have owned my 997.1 C4S 15 years now. Purchased it with only 6k miles on the odometer back then. today it has 96k and I have loved it since day one. Nice to see a younger generation giving the 997 some love. That car is fortunate to be rescued by you. Previous owner was a hack . 👍🏼👍🏼 I did the Sport classic conversion and also added the aliexpress radio upgrades as well and they have been great!
I'm semi familiar with this car. This car has a very questionable history. Previous owner purchased on BAT 12/23/23 for 37.5k. Then he failed to sell it on several platforms, including failing to meet reserve met auction on CnB with max bid of 36k on 04/11/2024. Owner was very elusive to inquires about selling after less than 4 months of ownership. North Eastern car its whole life leads one to be concerned about bore-scoring, which previous owner avoided all questions about. This car is only worth 30k after the fix. So shipping from NY to WA. This car is only profitable on YT. Will Jack get his 35k investment plus 2k shipping costs covered? Tune in next week.
Jack you make your content so easy to watch and stay watching! I’ve tried to watch other channels with builds and they become boring fast! What an excellent job you’ve done with your Porsche!
I love your content because its very entertaining. Tbh you are my inspiration on what I want to do after highschool. Cant wait to see the rest of this build in the future.
Glad to see the car is in good hands!! The paint really made a big difference, excited to see what you do next to it. PS you’d be surprised how well the wing worked when I took the car to Limerock!
Love the video and the Porsche looks so good! Also please make more videos around the 30min mark as they're more enjoyable but I understand if its hard to make a video that long with trying to get them out as fast as they can.
Great video man! I have a 991.1 (2014) base Carrera and installed a GT3 style rear wing. Not trying to pretend it's a GT3...but the wing looks great. I love it!
Damn Jack, you’ve just built my current multi-year 911 project in weeks… looks awesome though and makes me even more excited to get similar things done to mine!
She's so much cleaner now, this reminds me of when Jack still lived in Seattle and fixed everything wrong with his Murcielago And Jack, where's the Skyline?

I feel like the repainted panels have way more sparkles in them than in the original colour. It's that just me?
@@mathiasnkristensenit’s not just u

Maybe he's waiting for exhaust upgrade before putting it on, since he said it on the previous videos that he doesnt like the sound of the car that much.

Tech tip, the easiest way to remove stripped torx screws is to cut a slit down the center and use a flathead screwdriver to remove it
Came here to say this. 5 min vs 1 hour +
